Your intent and diagnosis is an explanation but when someone does actually say “hey don’t do that” / “that makes me uncomfortable” / “please stop” YOU STOP. When people are SAYING and actually communicating with you to STOP that’s not something that’s vague or misunderstandable.

of course this doesn’t apply to the implications of people being uncomfortable, because that can absolutely be missed by anyone neurotypical, let alone anyone autistic. But I’m sick of seeing people use this as a scapegoat for straight up assault or harassing people. If people say stop and you don’t? You’re not just an asshole, you’re a freak who’s about to have no friends.

I think some of you forgot that autistic people sometimes act strange and say things that are poorly worded and speak with incorrect tone and misunderstand or miss social cues because they are autistic

Like there’s already so much going on in the way of “oh we don’t really know each other as parent and child” that Charlie takes maybe about two to three weeks to even begin to address his son’s very obvious mental issues caused by his ex-wife, let alone the way his son’s life crumbled and re-built itself when he realized he was trans. I think it’d culminate in Charlie taking his son fishing, only for both of them to accept that this is not a good bonding activity and for them to spend the time having an impromptu picnic instead

oh and you know Carlisle had him clocked the minute he walked in. Like sure Forks is a small town but Carlisle’s been a doctor long enough for him to write prescriptions for HRT like. He knew. And he was fully ready to just.. give him a prescription for testosterone if he asked. I get the feeling that Esme would be one of those allies who just.. straight up don’t see trans people as anything other than what they identify as. Like, as in, she doesn’t think about the fact that t-boy swan here would still have periods and have to bind. Edward is a curious case. I feel like on one hand he’d be a little confused (sheltered white boy from the 1800s) but then on the other I just don’t think he’d like.. ask? Like he fully accepts his boyfriend as a man but the first time they have sex he just pauses for a split second after they get their clothes off and then immediately resumes. Like he would probably just accept that the discrepancy between swan’s presentation and genitals is just something that happens to modern people now. Like with “oops all berries” cereal or the happy accident that made a lot of modern baked goods so good. Idk I just… t-boy swan…

Disclaimer aside, it’s the weirdest fucking feeling to find out that someone who had an inappropriate relationship with you and who hurt you in very personal ways is now claiming to have DID.

Friendly reminders to cis fanfic writers that afab≠woman

Afab means assigned female at birth so this includes/can include cis women, trans men, transmasc people, nonbinary people, and intersex people.

If you’re making a fic where the reader is a woman, uses she/her, wears feminine clothing, etc. tag it as fem reader instead.

I’ve been smacked in the face as a trans man by reading fics tagged afab thinking it will be gender neutral, but the reader is actually a woman and I’m disappointed because I was ready for a fic I thought would apply to me.

Firstly, tony didn’t have a plan. I don’t believe either side when they say he was thinking about killing or capturing Bucky because that man was not thinking. From his lines and the way he’s brutally lashing out against both Steve and Bucky (his fighting here is reminiscent of how he fought against Killian in Iron man 3) tony is simply acting off of grief. Even the line “do you even remember them?” is indicative that he isn’t thinking properly because he doesn’t even respond to Bucky’s line: “I remember them all.” And the ending line of “My dad made that shield” / “You don’t deserve it” is just him lashing out. Tony didn’t have a plan, he was just lashing out at the people he blamed for his parents’ deaths.

To your point about Bucky being assumed guilty.

They were not in the United States. Not all justice systems operate on “innocent until proven guilty”, especially when there’s a Photo Of You Doing The Crime. And the photo of Zemo dressed up as Bucky made it pretty clear who probably did it

Because Nat dumped the files online, everyone knows about Winter Soldier’s kill streak. They know that he worked for Hydra, and he’s proven himself to be dangerous. Pretty much nobody but Steve and his circle would know that Bucky was brainwashed, the governments only knew he worked for Hydra.

The us government was freshly hydra-free. That manipulation and thinking would still be present in how they operate. Think about it like this

These countries just put the Accords in place, only to be attacked immediately by a superhuman threat. What would be a better way to show how beneficial these accords are, than to apprehend this threat with your non-super armies. The UN had something to prove in front of the entire world.

Team Iron man fans saying that Steve was wrong for not telling Tony that Bucky killed his parents but honestly, seeing how Tony handled finding out about it, I wouldn't have told him either. Tony was already willing to throw bucky into prison or an institution IMAGINE what he would've done if he found out bucky killed his parents while they still had him in custody. Steve was doing what he always has done, protect Bucky.

People openly supporting the revenge killing of a man who had NO control over his life for the past 70 years and wasn't even conscious for the majority of it because of something he did WHILE BRAINWASHED is insane to me.
