Hold on, I’m realizing that a lot of people on here are under the impression that Jason only died once. I thought you guys were like hardcore in denial or something. Is everyone clear on the fact that Bruce’s batarang to Jason’s throat did in fact kill Jason? He did not miraculously survive that. That’s not my opinion, it actually happened.
It starts with Tim and Damian arguing and Tim says something like, “You wouldn’t last a day as Red Robin, demon brat” and of course Damian takes that as a challenge. So, they decide to swap alter egos for a night. Jason thinks it’s stupid, but Dick loves it, so he gets Jason to join with him. When the night comes, they all put on each other’s outfits,(with some size adjustments, of course), Damian as Red Robin, Tim as Robin, Jason as Nightwing, and Dick as Red Hood.
As expected, Tim and Damian hate it. Tim had a different relationship with Bruce as Robin, and hates being treated like Damian.(being treated like a kid) Damian doesn’t understand why Tim works with anyone he works with, Tim’s staff is too long for him, and his notes are so sloppy(from sleep deprivation)he can’t make any sense of them to work on cases. When the night is over, both of them are tired, and somehow hate each other even more. They both expect Dick and Jason to come back the same way.
Dick and Jason, however, loved it.
Dick loves being Red Hood. The armor makes him feel safe, guarded. Even if he gets shot or stabbed, it doesn’t hit him. The helmet is extremely efficient, and he never has to worry about his identity. He feels invincible. He uses the guns, but doesn’t kill anyone. Still, they make his work much easier and efficient. He feels strong, powerful, secure.
Jason loves being Nightwing. The ecrisma sticks that he used to think were dumb, now filled him excitement. Hearing criminals scream as they were electrocuted or the thunk of the stick landing on someone’s skull was as satisfying as shooting a gun. Even though he thinks it’s impractical, he loves the outfit, too. It’s thin, so when he jumps off of skyscrapers he can feel all the wind rushing against his skin. It makes him feel higher than any drug could make him. Now he get Dick’s love for jumping off high buildings. He feels light, strong, free.
Tim and Damian are shocked. They never expected the other two to have such a good time while they suffered. Of course, the peace couldn’t last forever. In the middle of Jason and Dick fangirling over each other, Tim leans over and whispers to Damian, “Told you ya couldn’t handle it”

not liking a ship or a character is okay. more than okay, it’s completely normal. but harassing a young actress online it’s not.
these past few days i’ve seen people send her messages from complaining about a couple’s age difference to saying they wish she would drop dead. just now someone said to me on twitter that ‘grace van dien is a pervert who does not understands eddie is gay and that ‘joe’ should be protected from her’. and why is she a ‘pervert’, i asked? because she shares edissy fanfiction and fanart online.
tweeting that you wished she would catch on fire because she was confirmed on a fan convention, just because the man you worship will be there as well? saying that she’s a ‘slut’ and that she’s pathetic for wanting to ‘jump on his dick’ (their words, not mine)? well, this is not normal behavior.
joseph quinn is not a child, stop babying an almost 30 yr old man - he does not need your ‘protection’. he is not your friend, he is not your colleague and he’s definitely not your boyfriend. he is not eddie. you don’t know him. you know who does know him personally? grace van dien, who is a real person who can read the awful things you send her. a person who has been nothing but nice to everyone who interacts with her online.
things we say online are real and extremely dangerous. as a lawyer (even if not based in the us) i can safely say grace van dien can take legal action against a lot of people. i honestly hope she does. this type of behavior cannot go unpunished.
in the end, this is not about edissy or steddie. this is not about people thinking the duffer brothers wrote eddie as gay/bi/ or trans. this stopped being about fictional characters a while ago.
this is about people crossing the line between what’s real and what’s fiction. this is about the cult of celebrity worshipping. and this is about people needing to realize that this man is an actor whos getting paid to do a job. he is not going to fall in love with you. he is not yours to protect.
if you are one of these people who think they know a famous person because of how much you ‘love’ them, you need to seek help. this is dangerous behavior and soon someone is going to get in legal trouble over it.
I physically NEED Pattison's Bruce to be the mainstream batman that gets Dick. I wanna see this gremlin of a human being who absolutely only showers when his pseudo dad/butler tells him to and would rather sink into the ground than be perceived by another human being, to get confronted head first by Dick Grayson Extrovert Extraordinary. I wanna watch his grimy emo brain twist and melt between his fondness/love for the kid he scooped up from the streets and the fact Dick is a concentrated energy ball who demands to be taken outside (yes, in the sun, B, you need vitamins too) everyday and wants To Talk All The Time And Will Not Accept Grunting As An Acceptable Answer.
I'm begging plz
Take my money but give me this

SO MUCH QUALITY
Why is it that most fanfiction today thinks that Bruce didn't try to avenge Jason's death? He did. In Batman#429 Bruce had every intention of stopping the Joker - permanently. The Clown had been made Iran's official Ambassador to the United Nations (this was 32 years ago and acceptable at the time). The US government was rightly worried about Batman killing the Joker and causing an international incident. So, the President asked Superman to keep an eye on Bruce.
Like that was going to stop Bruce. Batman was absolutely driven by vengeance at that point. Nothing was going to derail his plans for the Joker.
He went to UN as Bruce Wayne. Not the dillitant, playboy "Brucie" Wayne but Bruce I-am-vegance-and-the-night Wayne. The two come face to face. In those moments Bruce knows exactly what he has to do.
The Joker lived down to Bruce's expectations, attempting to kill everyone there with lethal Joker gas.
Superman saves the day by inhaling the deadly gas. Bruce becomes Batman, seemingly not really caring if anyone sees him donning the uniform. Bruce's need for vengeance is what's driving him here. He's done with subterfuge at that point.
This was written in 1989, my children, so Batman wasn't allowed to come right out and say "I'm going to kill that rat-bastard Joker myself!" However, it was clear that Batman saw this as a final conflict between the two of them. Bruce was also fine with the idea that he probably wasn't going to survive the fight. Dying while exacting final justice on the monster who killed his boy was acceptable to him, possibly even preferable.
Batman leaves Joker with what looks like a fatal gunshot wound near the heart. The helicopter they're in is about to crash. Batman does escape with his life but doesn't even consider trying to save the Joker's. He leaves him to die in a fiery painful manner and seems good with it.
When Superman shows up in time to pull a wounded Batman from the water, Bruce shouts at him to find the Joker's body. Not to try and save Batman but to haul Joker's cold, dead corpse from the river.
So fannon is wrong. Heck, Jason in cannon is wrong. Bruce did try and kill the Joker for what he'd done to Jason and at the time it looked like he'd succeeded too.
A little bi-derman for bi visibility day. Happy bi visibility day guys!
