My first, and main blorbo of the year was, of course, Dick Grayson as Nightwing. He's pretty much a constant blorbo atp

My on again off again blorbo was the Miles Morales version of spider man, bcs I am obsessed with spider verse

During the perfect time of year, my blorbo was Cisco Ramon, and we got to celebrate flash day! (April 24, 2024)

Very briefly, my favorite blorbo was every version of rogue from x men, which was fun because she was my childhood favorite blorbo

My blorbo of the fall was, of course, Viktor from arcane. I mean... need I even explain myself?

My most recent blorbo, who has gotten me back into my mythology phase is Patroclus from the Iliad and the song of Achilles, because I finally read tsoa.

First off was the blorbo who carried me into the new year, Bail Organa. He's beautiful, strong, heroic, cutthroat, and I love him. I added two extra chapters to 3D Tapestry just because of him AND created a whole religion for Alderaan.

Elrond took up most of my year, as usual. But look at him! He's just so squshable! I wrote/updated 8 fics centering him this year and ran @adarondweek

Jay (son of Jafar) was actually briefly my favorite blorbo this semester. I binge-re-read the "Son of Jafar" series on ao3 and made a very long post thinking about how he might relate with Islam given his universe (fun fact: I actually sort of worked with Booboo Stewart one time! It was a musical theater camp that partnered with Penguin Project (a theater program for teens and young adults with disabilities) one year and I got to attend because I volunteered as a mentor with the project. At one point, he was doing our dance routine with us, and he was only like, a foot away from me! It was so cool! I didn't talk to him because I was busy working with my penguins, but we were taught choreography by Kenny Ortega, Kristen Chenowyth taught us singing, and Kevin Chamberlain WAVED AT ME!!!)

Anne Boonchuy was another fun one. It's always fun to watch her turn from a selfish jerk into a girl who was offered a job as God. I didn't write anything about her, but I binge watched Amphibia and read a crap-ton of fanfiction!

My current blorbo is Georgie Cooper from Young Sheldon and, like, three episodes of Big Bang Theory. The man, the myth, the legend. He's sweet, caring, dependable, the eldest child in a family with a kid with special needs but never complains about the lack of support, hard working, and HOT! Seriously. The hair, the accent, the smile... I love him so much 😍

(Also, this fandom needs so much more fanfiction, there's hardly any 😭. I'm working on one myself, but I'm just one person)

Any other chronically I'll people have the experience as a kid where they just Didn't Feel Good? That kind where you couldn't describe your symptoms, or pinpoint anything specifically wrong with you, other than just feeling bad. That definitely should've been more of a red flag.

Hi everyone! @whumpetywhumpwhump here- I noticed there doesn't seem to be an official Medwhump May running this year, so I'm running one myself :)

I appreciate it's pretty late in the game to be releasing prompts, but I was waiting to see whether the official page was going to post anything before deciding to start mine. Hopefully a few of you would like to get involved (even if it is short notice lol)

re-reading the end arena scene in the first hunger games book and i really don't think the movie did it justice. katniss and peeta are literally covered in blood (fresh and dried), and dirt. their hair is matted, peeta can't even stand on his own. they’re both almost skeletons. when they realize the capitols going to make them kill each other peeta throws away his knife but katniss has so much ptsd she almost shoots him without even thinking when she sees him raise a knife, and then panics realizing what shes doing even though peeta is almost begging her to let him die. he's so close to death that he knows even uncovering his wound (which he does) will be letting katniss win. when katniss comes up with the plan to eat the berries the berries are FULLY in their mouths, and they can taste them before the gamekeeper call it off. and peeta gives her a 'very gentle' kiss (in katniss's own words) before they eat the berries. peeta passes out the second they're on the helicopter and katniss is so feral they sedate her from behind after she’s done screaming for peeta

everything about this scene is absolutely tragic and horribly painful.
