Shippy thing for the couple.
Cinder teaching Izu how to swim/surf. Like, in canon Izu never was in a beach (sigh we do have a light novel where the main joke is "Izu is almost eat by an orc bc he thought it was the hero orc" hate it) well, here Izumi has a beach day.
A few details.
Aside the scars on her arms. Izuchan has big boobs.
No, this isn't ecchi. There a narrative reason for that.
Heroines with big boobs are more profitable bc you can explore the sex appeal, see Momo. But what you think happens with villainess that are well endowed?
They are seductress, sluts who will steal your man.
Izumi never even kisses someone ...she is getting comfortable with a lot before considering kisses. Which it's funnier bc the media paints her as this slut when she is not. Before meeting cinder she was on the path on finally seeing her scars as smth other than painful. (Not to attribute this to one guy)
So...in a beach day, Izumi in her bikini is a character development visually.
Cinder is allowed to admire...she is a pretty girl.
He uses his quirk and teaches her how to surf.
They just having fun.
Oh I was totally into making a good beach day for them. It's the quintessential form of fanservice after all.
The orca thing was actually canon? I always thought it cames from that "smash" comic that was explicitly non canon and self parody.
Anyways, while I'm not super into big boobs for woman to be considered attractive, is a fact that if Midoriya was a woman she would have the same atributes as Inko who certainly has very generous proportions.
And Cider surely likes that, and oh boy he sure isn't shy to express how much he likes the body of his girl (scars included of course).
And do you think Izumi is into guy with big pecs? Because Cider got some nice ones and he loves use tank tops just to make them look better.
Them having a good day in the water is all what they deserve after dealing with a lot of shit. And Izumi is a quick learner so by the end of the day she would be surfing like a professional, impressing Cider.
I like to think they would end the day looking at the sunset sitting together on the warm sand, Izumi resting her head on Mizunami shoulder and he has an arm wrapped around her waist. They got a kissing sessions of course, what a way to end a good day.
Kai is that impossible crush.
I know he loves Chrono despite everything, people overlook how much Kai values him. Is just that he's too busy being the perfect yakuza leader to attend romantic feelings.
This is such a fun scene when you think about the context, cause is supposed to be from Chrono's perspective.
Chrono really think he can fool us and make us think Chisaki, a person with severe misophonia, would voluntarily enter in a cage fight shirtless AND without gloves?
Especially considering we have another the flashback of the same or a similar situation from Rappa's perspective and we clearly see Chisaki doesn't take off his clothes for "fight".
Is Chrono so thirsty for Kai that he unconsciously imagines him shirtless?
Well I can't blame you at all Hari... I do the same thing all the time.
I post my first ever fanfic on ao3!
Write fanfic again was such a strange experience after not doing it for so much time. There's like hundreds of things I could have done better but overall I'm happy with the result.
Also this is the 3rd SeltzerBunny fanfic ever published.
If you don't mind the fact it's written in spanish and use a translator I hope you enjoy the story:

Hi, I saw some rewriting idea about Nine saving Shig and yeah it's cool. I also not a fan of the whole "Izu wants to save Baby Tenko" HE NEVER EVEN MEET TENKO OR SAW HIM AS A BABY.
So I want the whole Izu saves Shig still but their relationship would have to be work...and comes an idea.
What if Shig wanted Izu to join his side? He saw how Izu is mistreated by everyone and he wants to save Izu. For once, Shig wants to reach for someone.
Nine is in this equation and we can say ...he wants shig to not be used by afo.
How about that?
An au where Shig wants to make Izu join his side. Shig is making an effort for one hero and later said hero retribute the action.
That could shake Nine's beliefs...or not?
I actually want character development for Nine in the sense he realizes most of his beliefs are not entirely what he actually wants, but more the way being born in extreme conditions molded him to think only the power and strenght matter in a cruel world where people aren't treated equally.
After all, like I said in other of my post I think Nine internally has an unconscious desire to protect the weaks using the strength he possess. And his supposed distaste for weak people is more like a defense mechanism created due experience a hard life marked by the way society puts him down despite his rightfully called divine powers.
Because when you think about it, how did he even knew his friends are all that powerful before know them? He just saw them in such low life conditions and was like "I need to save them".
In my rewrite version of the story Nine does indeed have the heart of a hero, but due his life experiences he knows more drastic actions need to be made in order to improve something. He would be like a middle point between Deku who is pro status quo without realize, and Shigaraki who also shares a similar view but don't view ahead of destroy.
Speaking of which I guess the dynamic of Shigaraki trying to be a hero on his own way for Deku would result of him being scared at first. Because let's admit it, even if Shigaraki has good intentions for Midoriya I think his methods would be far to extreme to Deku accepting his offer, at least at first.
And that's where Nine would act a as a middle point between them.
I talked a lot of why I think Deku and Nine are perfect foils for each other, but his rivalry could find a neutral spot when both of them try to save Shigaraki from the influence of AFO.
Except in this case Nine would be the one to call out Deku for having a very surface level desire of save Shigaraki, a person Midoriya never knew or understand. Deku just want to be a hero because he had a preconceived idea of what is good for criminals, but never look the big picture or care about what happen to them after being arrested (like he does in canon duh).
Nine desire to save Shigaraki in this version of the story (following my previous post) would came from the fact he found Tenko as a child after the Shimura house incident, and they grow to together since they were childs, practically rising him as his little brother. So he knew Tenko better than any other person and also knows how bad AFO influence can be.
Oh I forgot to mention but in this version we skip the body snatching plot point for Shigaraki, as I have other ideas in mind for what AFO would do in this version on the part of getting a perfect vessel.
Well perhaps that's a good way to describe it, because I don't like how he' written and I hate how he ends being a big detriment for the quality of the story and ruins a lot of good character with his presence alone.
In concept he's fine, there's some elements about him that could be good if Horikoshi didn't overstay his welcome forcing him into a main villain role.
If he was like Mahito who dies at the middle of the story for example, it will be far more tolerable.
...
I will also support Muzan, but not because I like him more than AFO, but simply Muzan at least never let his creations outsmart or overwhelm him in any way. He was truly in full control, something AFO never truly felt in canon.
Wonder how Muzan would react to AFO desire to create a world in which everyone exist only for him, as he said to Yoichi.
Muzan probably will be like "how this inferior maggot think I would exist for him?" and he will be very offended.
What do you think about another crossover AU for SeltzerBunny? This time with Demon Slayer.
It's kinda easy to adapt the respective canon quirks of our dear couple into Breathing Styles.
Cider/Mizunami obviously would be a water breathing user, and for this AU I like to think he would be tsuguko of Sabito who survived this time.
While Midoriya is a wind breathing user (cause you know air force and float and green aesthetic... whatever) who was saved by Masachika (Yeah he's also alive at least for now) from the lower moon who killed his mother.
That lower moon would be no other than BK, who is a promising demon in ascension who is capable of generate explosions like his quirk in MHA.
And this would make Midoriya quest for revenge his principal motivation.
Still thinking about the details for this AU and who should be the other characters adapted into it, as MHA having such a big cast compared to DS force me to pick only the necessary lol.
@nyc3 hello
So while I did saw the first season of DS and do think it's well paced and better than MHA in every way -not a big achievement to behold. I didnt saw the other seasons, I got spoilers here and there. My point is how some of the names here are unknown to me.
That being said...I do like more aus for this ship.
Cinder is still a thief in this au or he seeks revenge?
How they meet and how is their dynamic?
(Almost finishing chapter 1 of my seltzer bunny fic)
It's kinda weird, as the way that detail about the age is presented seem a bit important to be just a little discrepancy.
On a side note why in general there doesn't seem to be options for people to become heroes if they're past the high schooler age?
We know thanks to Vigilantes that isn't totally impossible became one later in life with how Koichi became one at the end (even if you can say he became a hero under USA terms not Japan).
Also isn't dumb how you only have one chance to take the exam and never again? And isn't just fail the exam what cut your hero aspirations, just not attend to the exam even by circumstances out of your control seem to be equally valid on the school eyes.
That's again how Koichi story begin, but loose the chance in one school means you don't have any chance in other different school? I don't remember if Vigilantes cover that detail, but using japanese real life education system as reference it might as well be equally unfair.
The narrative goes out of its way to hammer home the parallels between Gentle and Izuku. They both shared an impossible dream of heroism and personal acknowledgment, both coped with despair through extreme positivity, and both had to carry the weight of their parents' lack of faith in them. Both Inko and Gentle's mother's first appearances were the same: crying in self-pity because their children couldn't meet societal expectations. The burden was put on Izuku and Gentle to maintain hope on their own. (Inko did get better, but only after Izuku was given an opportunity Gentle never had)
But Gentle's backstory also shares a lot of parallels with Toga. A public incident occurred that harmed someone unintentionally, and their entirely family was targeted as a result. The unloving parents drawn without faces threw out their own school age children to escape scrutiny. Both Gentle and Toga seem to be from a similar upper middle class background given how their family homes were drawn. And both ended up seeking romantic connection after losing their family ties.
It's funny cus what @thr0wnawayy mentions is sort of what happens in the fight of Cider House and Bakugou, as C.H shooting water beams at high preasure was giving BK a lot of problems and was Shoto who defeated Cider (even if there's problems with that too).
Realistically a lot of quirks should be a complete danger for everyone in the battlefield, explosions are just one example. But what about any fire quirk? Shoto almost killed Shindo once, but obviously outside that very specific case Horikoshi never make a big deal out of the dangers of using fire in the wrong situation even if that's even more dangerous than explosions if you ask me.
Or what about Mina shooting literal acid, how tf that's not dangerous in any situation? We seen that shit disolving everything in the blink of an eye, how she even uses it and not kill every villain? It's silly.
Quirks are dangerous only if Horikoshi decides to make them dangerous. Which is giant flaw in the logic to introduce the concept of "villanous quirks" that seems to be a big social issue.
What's even a "villanous quirk" then? Brainwash is super horrible but burn people with fire/acid isn't?
What bothers me the most about Izuku's character is that it seems like he can't feel anything, like because he can't be angry with what happens to him, you know why he can't have negative feelings towards Bakugou? This admiration he has for the bomb boy is not normal and healthy, it reminds me of Stockholm Syndrome. Bakugou stans say that Izuku is boring, but when talking about this thing about him not being angry with Bakugou, they keep saying that we don't understand Izuku's character. What's your opinion? Am I exaggerating?
I don't think you're exaggerating. In fact, I think it's deliberate on Horikoshi's part.
I began to realize Izuku's character was regressing the minute I first came across this scene:
This is the only scene I can justify hating Izuku's character because it was such an out of pocket line coming from him. And it kind of stuck in my head for weeks because it felt so OOC. Like, Izuku of all characters pushing for Todoroki to forgive Endeavor? It made no sense to me.
But do you see how it pans to Bakugou?
To me, this is Horikoshi indirectly attempting to absolve Bakugou. Izuku's line here is trying to communicate that that's how he feels about Bakugou.
Similarly to All Might saying Izuku doesn't hold what Bakugou did against him, this is another piece of plot manipulation from Horikoshi. Bakugou's redemption is pushed through the words of others, not through his actions. Especially when it comes to how he treated Izuku.
If Izuku, at any point, was still upset or noticeably traumatized by Bakugou's actions, Bakugou couldn't have been reasonably redeemed. Because there would be no feasible reason to even have him around Izuku and the only reason Bakugou's even relevant is due to Horikoshi sticking him onto Izuku in every arc
If I remember correctly Kai used to get into a lot of fights when he was younger trying to make a reputation for the yakuza, and getting into underground cage fights was a way to get powerful goons like Rappa.
But getting shirtless when he hates being touched? Nah that's just Chrono fantasies getting out of hand lol.
This is such a fun scene when you think about the context, cause is supposed to be from Chrono's perspective.

They are really the battle couple of MHA
Look how much Deku cares for his italian lover
Yeah, while I'm not a big fan of his mask as Stendhal I do like the outfit.
And how it looks way more clean, profesional and stylized, which marks a contrast with his later more savage look as Stain. Even Chizome's hair was silky and better stylized as Stendhal to reinforce the idea.
Random take but: Stain had the coolest and most insane boots design on his debut.
Like we should normalize black leather boots with a lot of metal and with small chains for laces, that looks cool as hell.
