Why is it cute and trendy for girls to wear men’s flannel shirts and baggy boy’s sweatpants, but when a boy tries to wear anything remotely close to girl’s clothes, they are considered “girly” or “gay”?

Do you know why?

Because our society thinks its degrading to be feminine.

And i gotta ask, I cannot be the only one who sees these things, like

Writing tips to help get published! Problems an editor always has to point out!

And I'm just like, please don't do that?? As a reader, i do not agree?

For example, i saw one guy saying, "Don't use one-off side characters. Combine them into one character, so that the batista the MC sees everyday, the secondary love interest, and the childhood are all 1 3-dimensional person instead of 3 1-dimenaional characters."

I saw that and i just immediately thought, please god no, don't do that. I love random side characters! I hate it when it feels like the MC's world is so tiny, like they literally only interact with 2 or 3 people. I wanna see how they are with strangers! How strangers percieve them! It makes the world feel larger!

And i admit, i am NOT a writer, at all. But I read CONSTANTLY. I'm part of the audience, and i prefer when my book/fanfiction does the opposite of what professionals tell them to.

Please tell me I'm not the only one

Dear Bunjy, as I understand it most predators do a threat assessment and attack when the situation is in their favor. But some animals are more aggressive than others. Who would you say is the most dgaf predator?

all predators run that risk assessment to some extent and avoid situations where they might get their head kicked in, but the closest is probably mustelids in general. having the "if I die I die, but I AM TAKING YOU WITH ME" to every other animal in their area is very much the defining trait of the mustelid family.

(it's because they want to establish that their kind is Not To Be Fucked With deeply in the minds of every other animal, and this tactic is in fact largely successful)

Types of fanfic summaries and what they mean

First paragraph of the actual fic: I judge the whole fic by the first words and I assume you do too so here it is

"Just a series or drabbles/headcanons/prompts": Someday I want to write an incredible 200k fic but for now have fun going through all the chapters trying to figure out which one is the one you actually want to read

"Will X be able to find love before Y happens?" And other questions: I read entirely too many YA novels

Quote from the actual fic: I watch entirely too many movie trailers

"Basically just an X fic with Y characters": I can probably write a good summary if I cared a little more

Song lyrics: I have no idea how summaries work and I'm trying to be like the people with poem quotes

Poem quotes: either the best thing you've ever read or 13-year old English literature purple prose there is no in-between

Lol I can't do summaries: I'm not entirely sure if I want you to read my fic

"Wtf is this" or other author questioning themselves: it's either porn or crack

Explicit rated fics: listen my man I know you're not gonna really read the summary just read the tags and decide if my sin is the sin for you

Paragraph of tags and one line summary: ok listen I can't do summaries but I've got this ok IVE GOT THIS

dictionary definition: fluff or angst here you go

Either a meme or a tumblr imagine your otp: I was bored and I had emotions about my ship you can have emotions about them too
