Summary.

It's said world (of which is hopefully going to be a game? someday?) I've been working on with one of my closest friends!

Basically one day I just decided "sea bugs" and this happened:

Later in the week, me and Friend went to the beach, and proceeded to make an awesome sand bug city, worldbuild for 13 hours straight, pass out at 2AM, then worldbuild some more.

We tied in the above drawing and both wrote it all down in a Google document (and are still writing more!), so there's a lot! But here's as much of the entire 22-page current draft of the doc as Tumblr will let me post, spread across some number of posts, including the random bits of information we haven’t yet...officialized? I guess? As this consists of plans for a future game and some of the “meta” stuff relating to it?

additionally once again: special thanks to @magnumopos and @muzzleroars , neither of which I have actually spoken to in my life but both of which are credited with partially inspiring this! (dedicated section under the readmore due to the fact I do not generally tag people at all ever and wasn't sure if I should, but thought it was worth mentioning!) The former for giving me the wonderful idea of dragonfly V1, the latter for drawing V1 like a strange little creature + for the feedbacker plate, I enjoy both your works :]

(retroactively, on march 27th of 2024, assigning them a full bingo with credit to deep-space-lines. ehehehehe)

contest will be held in the traditional tournament bracket format, with (hopefully) fair match ups that don't pit the most iconic robots out there with mr. literally who tf are you.

i will TRY MY BEST to get said match ups right but i MIGHT fuck it up. if so i'm sorry

robot swag being included in the title does not necessarily mean the robot has to have swag. the robot in question could be the most pathetic wet cat you've ever seen, and they could contest here. this is just for robots in general!

if you need to ask "does this character count as a robot?" when submitting a nomination, the answer is probably yes. don't think about it too hard

polls will last 24 hours each!

i made this contest with FICTIONAL robots in mind, but real ones can be included too!

i'll likely be restricting things to one robot per media, sorry for anyone who wanted glados vs wheatley action!

as for contestants, i'll mostly let the public decide, but i might sneak in a few of my own nominations! i've got 32 slots to fill, so get nominating!

The Moth of Snakemouth Den, and Bugaria’s Leading Expert in Archaeology

Read the Team Fakemouth swap au by @professorneolith and felt compelled to make this (it's actually relatively short and that blog hasn't been active in a year but idc!!)

(Headcanons, with spoilers:)

- Both moths are the same age as they are in canon, but the whole Snakemouth Lab: Cordyceps Failed Experiment thing happened significantly later, Neo's team is a different, younger one than canon Leif's, and all its members are still alive. (With the technical exception of Neolith.) Leif was never an explorer at any point in time.

- Kabbu got into Bugaria the same way as canon (and never got to enact his revenge on the Beast). Leif was the one who met/helped Kabbu in the Lost Sands this time, and Kabbu and Neo have no relation besides briefly meeting post-Snakemouth in the Outskirts. We don’t actually know anything about Eetl’s backstory but it’s safe to assume it’s the same as canon here. 

- Vi ran away to the Wasp Kingdom instead of the Explorer's Association. She was/is general under Hoaxe (I always thought Fuff became general during Vanessa's rule rather than Hoaxe's but I'm not actually sure?), though she's immune to his control.

Not sure how battle would go but I'm assuming that unlike Fuff who's boastful until his backup gets knocked down, Vi's better at combat, underestimated, and too hubristic for teammates.

Going to stop writing now so I can just post this instead of waiting two more days
