My life has always been a sham. I am a simple replacement. An android, or at least half of my body, designed to destroy beings equal or more powerful than Shade herself.
Jane Todd came to me, saving me from the suffering caused by my creator, Lex Luthor, promising me a better life. Promising me to find my family and if not, the chance to be a part of hers. He came to me when everything around him seemed to be falling apart.
I arrived with the Wayne family a few months before Angella almost stuck a knife in their back.
Assana told me everything, including the plan they both had for Richard Grayson's supposed biological daughter to be accused of treason, not only against the Wayne family but also against Shade.
When I woke up the first time, I didn't know anything, where I was, or how things worked. I was human, but I knew nothing about humanity.
During that time, Jane trained me, teaching me to use the skills Luthor and my parents had accidentally given me. She lent me her clothes, accompanied me if I had nightmares, taught me how to use the sword, even taught me how to use the microwave. Before long I was on his level, ready to carry out the plan.
The supposed Angella Grayson was nothing more than a conspirator, using Eclipse for her own benefit and manipulating different members of her original team of heroes.
Shade, Eclipse, Cheis themself and Scorpion had a deep hatred for the traitors, treating them like scum for months until they found out who had put those ideas into their heads.
All those who had doubts were sent to missions in other cities, even to other countries, but when the threat grew, the traitors stayed day and night in a single district.
Nightmare, White Scarab, Red Sun, Velma, Percia, Alchemy. The greatest team of young superheroes, the Warriors Society, was disbanded. And what were they thinking?
Betray Assana Jernigan, heir to the enormous power of Shade, the most powerful person in this universe, capable of destroying entire planets just by thinking about it, who received the same training as Jane Hart, the girl who in seconds can make you puke your guts out.
The breaking point was when Assana, with the help of Malowe, Callan, and Jane, exposed the name of Angella's real father. Slade Wilson. The ability to read minds had taught her that this data must be in the back of her mind.
Even the world's greatest detective didn't see that coming. But that was obviously part of the plan. Shade gave her one of the worst punishments ever imagined, she would live, free, but she would be permanently erased from everyone's mind.
She begged for forgiveness, and Assana told her that she would let only two people remember her. For a moment, I thought she would choose Dick, but she didn't. She chose Jane and me. Assana, being the one who administered the punishment, couldn't forget her either.
The situation with Richard, having so many memories with Angella, would be different. His memories of his supposed daughter would be erased. He would not remember the main reason why Eclipse took me in or the fight Angella and I had and why in the future he would decide to make me his temporary companion. But after all, he took me in as if he had known me all my life.
When I arrived at the Manor and was left in Richard's care, I thought he would abandon me, but I was wrong. He taught me how to control my powers, he taught me how to cook the basics, he even taught me how to socialize.
Jane was the first person to show me trust, respect, honor. I consider her my best friend, my cousin, my sister, my partner. She showed me what it is to be human. And even though we obviously had some misunderstandings, we always managed to make up in no time. I owe everything to her. I even have so much respect for her that during the time Ric had amnesia, I gave the mantle of Nightwing to her while I infiltrated the court of the Owls.
Without Richard and Jane, I wouldn't have survived more than a week in Gotham.
I was thinking about all this as I arranged the chemicals we had taken on the shelf. Jane had not shown up for class, and most likely she was still talking to the principal, those conversations sometimes lasted for hours.
As I left the room I checked the notifications on my phone, to my surprise, Jane's messages abounded, explaining in a not so brief way her situation and begging me to find a way to get out of the school.
I had no choice but to escape through the school's emergency exits, even though Jane had already told me that Uncle Roy had already asked permission to take me out of the school. I ran to the classroom, grabbed my backpack, and retraced my steps back to the gym. I placed my artificial hand on the door to deactivate the cameras and alarms and finally got out.
I walked down one of the alleys so I could take off the annoying uniform and the necklace with Zatana's spell to cover my robotic parts and put on the suit I had designed with the help of my cousin.
When the location of Eclipse arrived on my phone, it had already started to rain, I had no problem the water would not reach the circuits easily, but I knew that if they continued fighting it would be much more difficult to finish the fight.
The message Jane sent me didn't say much, she was on the roof of a building, far from where I assumed she would be. Still, I decided not to ask questions and help her with whatever she was doing.
"He flies through the air with the greatest of ease, the daring young man on the flying trapeze," I began to sing as I swung between the buildings, just as my father had taught me.
Arriving near her location, I could make her out, her hair and clothes soaking wet, kneeling on the ground, and hugging herself. She was not alone.
In front of her, Genesis, Angella Wilson, was making her appearance again, without the costume we saw her in a few days ago.
I didn't wait any longer, I took out my spear and threw it against her, not to hurt her, but to make her notice my presence, it fell a few centimeters away from her, burying itself in the ground. And I covered the distance I needed to reach them under her watchful eye.
"What a nice meeting, isn't it?" Genesis asked, raising her foot to lift Jane's head with her tip so that they could look each other in the eye -although there is still someone missing," she said, dropping her foot back to the ground. At that moment I had the opportunity to pick up my spear again.
"Get away from her," I said, pointing the halberd at her throat.
"Why would I do that? You have no control over me," he said, with a huge smile on his face.
"Don't worry, Pandora. I'm fine, it was just a scratch," Jane said, trying to get up behind me. But from the sound of her voice, I could tell it wasn't just a scratch.
"How cute," Genesis joked, "What are you two planning to do against me," she asked.
And that was my cue to disappear the spear and throw a punch to her face. I didn't want to start a fight, I just wanted Jane to have time to get herself together so we could get out of there. Nor was it in my plan for Nightwing or Red Robin to show up there and ask us a thousand questions.
Between Angella and I, a fight started, although I clearly had an advantage, the rain didn't bother me as much as it did her.
"I don't feel like fighting with a cheap copy," said Genesis, standing on the edge of the roof, then turned to my cousin, "Let this be a lesson to you Eclipse," when she finished speaking, she let herself fall, but I didn't dare to find out if she had survived the fall. I ran to help Jane, who with the help of her shadow created support for her weight. When she looked up, not only did I see that she was about to start talking, but also that her eyes were completely black, and a deep wound in her abdomen was a bad omen.
"I don't want explanations now, I'll take you home and help you with the wound," I said, putting his arm around my shoulders to help them walk, "We're not far away, just... don't fall asleep.
We made our way to my Uncle Jason's apartment in total silence. We entered the building through one of the windows in the hallway on the floor where the residence was located. With the help of Jane's shadow, we opened the door.
When we walked in, we saw a shirtless Jason, wearing sweatpants and wet hair. But when he saw us enter, he quickly put his shirt back on and got up to help me with Jane, who was beginning to close her eyes.
"What happened to her?" he asked me, leading his daughter to the biggest couch in the living room.
"I don't know, they were already like that when I arrived," I told him, going to the kitchen to look for the first aid kit.
Jane, what do we do now?

Stephanie: Bet you guys can't make a sentence without the letter "a".
Jason, resident english nerd: You thought you did something there, didn't you? Well, sorry to burst your bubble but numerous sentences could be constructed without employing the first letter of the english lexicon.
Stephanie: Fuck you, zombie boy.
Chapter 5: Blackbird
Night fell and with it came the criminals, the insane, and the sociopaths. That was the hour where we put on a mask, not just to hide our identities, and went out into the streets to do the job that the police couldn't do or weren't able to control. The first to go out were Batman and Robin along with Hakan, followed by Nightwing, Red Robin, and Pandora. Lastly, Red Hood, Shade, and me.
Pandora, Shade, Haken, and I were known to be part of a group of young heroes, then still unnamed. A small group of teenagers still in training that did not meet the qualifications to belong to the Teen Titans.
"Do you want to go on foot or on my motorcycle?" I asked Assana, while I passed my hand over my face to put on the visor that was part of my suit with the help of my shadow.
"With how bad you drive when there's traffic on the main avenues, I'd rather steal one of Batman's and drive myself," she answered as she fixed the short cape of the suit I had designed for her when she joined the second version of my team.
"See, I'm not the only one who drives badly," said Jason, arriving next to me with his trademark helmet in hand. "And unfortunately there are only two bikes here, one of the two will have to ride with me if you don't ride together."
"Okay, I'll go with you." As I answered, a huge mass of black smoke that I did not control appeared in front of us.
In a few seconds that smoke dissipated and, instead, a boy a little taller than me, with white skin and black hair appeared. He was wearing a very similar outfit to Jason's, only completely in black and with some silver details.
"I was unconsciously begging for you to show up," said my father, getting off the bike and turning it off for a moment. "I've been waiting for you since morning, what happened?" he came closer to where the three of us were.
His name was James Rhodes. My best friend during my time at the orphanage, my petty shoplifting buddy, and my soon-to-be brother. Jason was trying to adopt him, for reasons I still didn't understand. Whenever I asked him he would tell me it was because we were both very close, and other times he would tell me it was to protect him. Don't get me wrong, I really wanted Jason to adopt him, but there was something very strange.
He also had powers, very similar to mine, because he could transform into a black mass and move from one place to another, sometimes he could even transform into a raven or even a flock of those birds. His hero's name was due precisely to this ability. Blackbird.
And as the family that we were, he was also part of the team, specifically, he was one of the co-founders of that team.
"I wanted to come since last night because I knew Jane would be here, but I had to move up some homework I have to hand in on Monday," he replied as he hugged Jason. Of course, one of the few people with whom my father showed a little more affection was James.
"I forgot for a moment that you're a nerd," I said, trying to annoy him as I placed my dagger in my belt. I headed towards the bike I was supposed to drive, but arms around me stopped me.
"My pretty little sister." He said, lifting me up and pressing me tighter against his chest. "I missed you so much," he spoke again, still not letting go of me.
"We met on Thursday," I said, trying to pull away from the embrace, "Can you let me go," I asked and I knew what the answer was going to be.
"No."
"But we have to go."
"But your girlfriend can wait."
"She's not my girlfriend!" I said, with intense heat settling on my cheeks.
He finally released me, turning to Assana to greet her with much less physical contact.
"Chief, reporting for duty," James said, bowing.
"Yes, yes. Give me $10 and we're good." Assana said, holding out her hand.
"Hurry up or we'll leave you!" Jason shouted, almost starting the bike.

I NEED HELP
So, the other day I was talking to a friend of mine and I said "sometimes I would like to rewrite the Harry Potter universe and make it a little more logical," and I regret that. Because now I hace the idea of making my own magical universe.
I have a goggle doc in which I am writing the basics of the story, my world building and some character sheets. I also added a few designs of uniforms for the school and now I'm working on my Villain design (because is the arc that has the most develop until know)
Now, I may have my basics but I'm still missing a lot. If someone would like to help in character design, reviewing and beta reading the story, helping with new concepts for the world building or even helping with the designs of places in this universe you can send me a dm and I will send you the Google doc. For now I only have de doc in Spanish but I can translate it to English.
Thank you in advance
Chapter 18: News in the Woods
The Justice League is an "organization" of "global" heroes and is non-governmental. The government should not tell them when and how to act. These heroes claim to be the ones who bring peace to the world. The ones who end wars and the ones who are going to end crime.
It supports other young hero groups like the Teen Titans or the former Warriors Society. Sure, there are many more but the names were so irrelevant that they faded from my memory.
And at the time, that was the topic of conversation in the living room of the Todd family apartment. The news was misreporting some events that had occurred months before.
"What I don't understand is why Superman hasn't come out to clear all this up, isn't he the public face of the league," my brother said and then stole a handful of popcorn from me.
"If big blue comes out to show his face, now they will say that he is on the side of the bad guys because he is also an extraterrestrial. The one who should come out should be someone from the earth. But I don't think that would be a good thing," he said. There was a certain tension in Jason when he spoke of the Man of Steel, but who wasn't afraid of Superman?
"So, you're saying that the most normal among us would have to come out. What would it be...Batman?" I commented, tossing the bowl to my brother so he could finish his snack.
"You're right, it's weird," Jason agreed, starting to search for the remote to change the channel.
"These acclaimed heroes ruin the lives of so many and then act like saints, asking the government to pay them with our taxes. Don't you think it's suspicious that an alien spacecraft has arrived on our planet out of nowhere?" The commentator on TV was going to make me lose my appetite. Can you hate a person you only know through TV?
I enjoyed being with my father and brother, without any worries, and just talking about whatever was on TV. We rarely got to do that, as we always finished patrol late or someone was absent. Those moments were more important to me than the names of those other hero groups.
"There is an organization that is in charge of overseeing travel to other planets in this universe, isn't there?" asked my father, who was sitting in one of the individual armchairs. My brother and I just looked at each other, trying to read each other's minds or talk telepathically (which we wanted to, but couldn't do), and then just shook our heads.
"It's supposed to be a job that belonged to the previous Shade, don't ask me, I don't get involved in those matters anymore," I answered, lying down on the couch.
"You could ask a Lantern, those guys spend more time in space than on a fixed planet. Ask anyone but the Reds, we should never have trusted those guys," James said, then popped another handful of popcorn into his mouth.
"You'd better go to sleep, Bruce is going to scold me if you don't go to school." Jason and Bruce's relationship was never the best, at least not since my father came back to life. They tried to get along, but with the messes that James and I were bringing it wasn't very easy to make that relationship more bearable.
Olive, Jared, and basically the vast majority of my fellow Warriors Society heroes were in the same school year, but at different schools. And let's just say that being surrounded by rich kids from the cradle was not my thing. Although according to some "friends" of mine, they didn't understand why.
My brother and I got up, took the plates and glasses we used to leave in the kitchen. We each went to our rooms.
I still hadn't forgotten that I had to talk to someone important. The gas idea was very similar to something that had been used in the past. Although honestly the last thing I wanted to do was talk to the person who had helped us back then, but when the Joker's venom problem came up, he was the first person I thought of.
I picked up my phone, wandering through the contacts I didn't even know I had. I clicked on my target's name and the call icon.
"For the last time. I won't help you with your crush Jerni... Oh excuse me, your highness, I didn't read the name right and I thought it was...- The boy on the other side of the line started to say.
"Don't call me your highness, I left the title a long time ago," I interrupted before he said something inappropriate.
"Yes, I remember."
"He spoke to you to ask you a favor, not to discuss politics," I interrupted again, "We will talk about all this on another occasion and with fewer worries," as I knew he would soon ask, I decided to answer him first. I began to walk around my room, picking up the things I had left lying around in the afternoon.
"You know I'm always available. Work is work. Although if you need my help, it must be something important" That guy never shut up?
"The Joker and the Scarecrow, I need something to neutralize the gases they use," I informed him quickly before he brought up another topic of conversation.
"If it is for your team, let me tell you that you already had something like that. I'll send you the formula in the morning, ask someone to read it and do it," he replied.
"Okay, I need it as soon as possible." I was hoping at least one of the guys knew chemistry."
"Of course, boss." He said, laughing at the end, "I don't know what time it is in your city, but good evening.
"It's nighttime, but it's the intentions that count," I laughed too. I liked those moments when I could laugh with the people I considered friends.
"Andrew out," was the last thing I heard.
I got up from my bed where I had sat after throwing my clothes from the floor into the laundry can. I opened my closet to put my suit in.
I stood for a while admiring my suit, holding the fabric between my hands. Lightweight, sturdy, with small details in some areas simulating scales. A three-piece suit, with optional long gloves, when I didn't wear the trench coat and a pair of high-heeled boots, because, according to the person who helped me design it, I needed to look taller.
The blouse was a dark gray, reaching to black, sleeveless, and with a high collar. The pants were the same color, they were tight. The trench coat was black on the outside and wine red on the inside, with lots of little pockets. The fingerless gloves went past my elbows.
The visor was the best part. Although at first glance it was a simple piece of plastic that helped my blindness (myopia) it was actually more than that. It was connected to one of the most advanced computers in the entire universe.
When I finished admiring my suit, I folded it up and put it in one of the locked drawers where I kept other things important to me, and went back to bed. The next day would be a heavy day, and I knew it.
Jason steals the tires off of the Batmobile every time he gets mad or needs attention. Later on, Jason teaches Tim how to do the same thing and Tim is just like ‘wtf’
Batmobile: (has no wheels)

On Wattpad, I'm starting to write the prequel of my story. As you probably don't know, once I finish the first story it's gonna go to edition, again.
And once I finish publishing it here, it's gonna go to edition, maybe with changes maybe not. The prequel will also be up here once the first part is completed. I won't let you without content.
Right now my laptop is in reparation and I'm using my mom's desktop, so it'll be more difficult for me to edit and write these few days. Fortunately, after this class week, I'll have another two weeks of vacation.
I love it when dogs try to help but the task at hand requires zero dogs so they just kinda stand in front of you and look serious.
