So I haven't gotten tested because it's the weekend for me, but based on my current symptoms, there's a good chance I have the vid-19. Which is really not fun, but at least I've been dealing with it a bit. I left work early on Friday and am not able to work today thru Monday, which could potentially cost me my job, but fingers crossed.

I am currently looking to apply for a different job on my university campus, and I already know I'll get the job after I apply (my way of manifesting, lol). It'll be nice to do something a little different than my current job, for sure.

I'm going to try to get back to my regularly scheduled posts and routines as soon as I find myself in better health. I feel bad not posting, but I've also been resting a ton to try and heal faster. But yeah, I currently feel like -12/10 in gems of physical health.

Fingers crossed, I'm better by Tuesday! I have my first cooking class on Tuesday evening, so hopefully I am better and can attend because the professor for that class is amazing!

Also, thank you guys for 150+ followers! Just a few weeks ago, when I started taking my blog seriously, I only had 7 followers so having over 150 now is incredible! I appreciate all of you so much <333

Wednesday was such a long day, a day for no reason at all. It was a good day, tho I ended the night all moody. But it was a good day!

24 Minutes of Leg/Thigh Pilates

took a nap before worked

worked a ~6 hour shift

got to hang out with my work friend for a bit

made plans to go shopping with that work friend next week

got to talk with my dad a little bit

did really good at work despite walking in and being told I had one hour to prep my station for the 400+ people we had coming in that night

started studying Spanish again!!

Dang, I was not as productive yesterday as I had thought. And there's not really much to do today either. Crazy! but I always enjoy the more mellow days, that's for sure! and I'm so excited to spend time with my dad today, I haven't gone out to eat with him in a while.

Last night, I was decently productive to the point where I was actually proud of what I was able to accomplish. It was a nice feeling. I'm still grappling with the thoughts of what to do in regards to continuing my education, if I go the community college (Medical Assisting) route or continue with my university (Nutrition and Dietetics), despite the possible financial issues I'll be facing.

What I Accomplished Yesterday (March 28th) โœจ๏ธ

did a hydrating face mask (it was amazing)

washed and put away a load of laundry

paid my rent

wrote out some chapter 8 notes + chapter 8 vocabulary notes for health and exercise psychology

wrote out a solid chunk of my chapter 9 notes for exercise physiology (need to finish chapter 9 and start chapter 10 asap, but that's what I get for being 2 chapters behind)

journaled about some stuff going on in my head (mostly the continuing education stuff that's been plaguing my thoughts)

studied/did schoolwork for a total of 122 minutes

looked at potential classes I could take + other options for switching to the community college here in town

Yesterday was definitely a decent day in terms of stuff I was able to get done, but I also know I slacked off A LOT. More than I am comfortable with having slacked off. I'm slowly getting back into my school grind mindset, especially with the semester coming to an end soon. I really want to get my grades back up where I need them to be and end the semester on a high note, with a good GPA and a sense of pride in knowing I tried.

My goal is to get all of this done today, and I have a strong feeling I'll be successful as long as I keep my head in the game and remember that I have priorities and things need to get done. If I don't do the things, then the things don't get done, and I can't have that.

Hello again lovelies! Life's been too busy to make posts about my days, but rest assured I've kept myself productive and busy with school and work and life in general! I actually had down time this week which was pretty cool, as I usually don't ever have time to rest without guilt lately. But, today's a new day, I don't have work scheduled today, so I'm going to do a bunch of school work and a few household chores today too.

write my mini proposal paper that's due tomorrow night ๐Ÿ’ป

Should definitely be a good day today. I might go and get a smiley piercing today, I'm unsure if I really am or not yet. And I need to plan my next tattoo since I recently got some extra money, and I've been craving some new ink. Lots of stuff, lots of stuff!

I am officially back home from seeing my boyfriend and now I am big sad because I already miss him again. I was not as productive as I thought I wouldโ€™ve been while with him these last three days but Iโ€™m also not mad about my lack of stuff done. I got some quality time with him and I am so happy with that. I did do some things that would count s productivity, such as some Japanese studying and a short amount of homework. I think Iโ€™ll use this post as a motivator for some stuff I need to do with a little bit of what I did this weekend.

๐Ÿฉท What I Accomplished -

Kept up Duolingo daily streak

Kept up Busuu daily streak

Began working in Lesson One in Genki I

Submitted and passed Psyc Quiz for Chapter 7

Began using LingQ for Japanese

Looked into Kanji learning books

so yes, I didnโ€™t accomplish much but again, not mad. I am still happy with what I did accomplish. I also really enjoy the Genki I textbook so far, Iโ€™m still trying to figure out a good note taking technique for myself with this textbook but I really like writing down the end of lesson practice exercises. I think I want to get better at reading and writing, and listening, and my goal is to start italki lessons by December/Jaunary. If I donโ€™t start my italki lessons until a bit later tho, I wonโ€™t be upset because I know learning Japanese is a long process and something Iโ€™ll be working on for a good chunk of my life.

not much academic stuff on the list for the day but Iโ€™m trying to take it a little easier with my school things as I am exhausted from a long day of flying and airports yesterday. However, I am using today as like, a set up day for my upcoming days/week. Productive planning is basically my goal for today with a little bit of actively doing some work. I am excited to start my language tracking bullet journal and plan some stuff for working out as I am planning on going back to the gym next week. I want to start with light cardio for the first week just to get me in the habit of going and then after Iโ€™m going to step back into the weight room and start lifting light. My boyfriend got me motivated to work on my mental and physical health a bit better, so Iโ€™m definitely excited!

I feel with the exercising, it will help me manage my stress better, which I feel will lead to better mood and better food choices. Exercising alone is enough of a motivator to take my nutrition more seriously. Iโ€™m more focused on the mental and emotional health aspect of working out than I am the physical stuff, but Iโ€™m excited for all the benefits regardless. I just want to take better care of my health in every aspect, in a way that aligns with my values. Hopefully I will have better posts full of more information and stuff Iโ€™ve done during the day once I get all areas in my life back in balance with each other.

today was such an easy day for me, I am so glad that Iโ€™m taking yesterday thru Thursday for myself. I really need it.

not a heavy eating day for me as I havenโ€™t had much of an appetite thanks to being sick. Might still snack on something tonight since thereโ€™s still time left in the day.

Iโ€™m hoping to catch up and work ahead on stuff a little bit so that way Iโ€™m not struggling next weekend. Iโ€™m actually going to go see my boyfriend next weekend for about three full days, which Iโ€™m excited for because I havenโ€™t seen him in person in three months. (Thank you 1000+ miles of distance haha)

because Iโ€™m just starting out trying to re learn and familiarize myself with the Japanese language again, it was hard for me to think of current goals I might want to achieve, and what time frame Iโ€™d want to achieve them in. I think I will begin posting a monthly goals list because as I learn more of the language, my goals are definitely going to change. Right now I have my long term goals for Japanese and then some short term daily/monthly goals!

๐ŸŒธ Long Term Japanese Goals -

conversational fluency - I want to be able to have comprehensible conversations with native Japanese speakers, and be able to understand what they say and also be able to speak the language myself

understand Japanese media - I want to be able to listen to music and watch Japanese YouTubers and Anime without subtitles

understand spoken/written Japanese - again, I want to be able to know what other people are saying in this beautiful language and also be able to read it to some extent.

My main goals long term are to travel to different parts of Japan in the coming future so being able to speak, understand, and read japanese are my biggest concerns but Iโ€™d also like to have that knowledge of writing the characters and knowing proper stroke order too, just for fun and education!

๐ŸŒธ Daily Japanese Learning Goals -

Use one type of media as a passive learning tool (music, tv shows, YouTube, anime)

Study Flashcards 2-3 times (currently using my hiragana Flashcards I made on Anki)

Minimum of 2 Duolingo lessons

Practice writing the characters in an app (again, currently re learning hiragana)

1 other app lesson used as a supplemental learning tool (renshuu, Bunpo, LingoDeer, drops, etc)

My daily goals are a bit broad as this is typically what I want to do on a day to day basis for about a month of two, and then I will incorporate using textbooks, workbooks, notebooks, and really dive into the self studying and learning more structurally.

๐ŸŒธ Monthly Japanese Goals (September) -

Memorize hiragana characters

Begin learning basic vocabulary (~30 vocabulary words by end of month)

Begin studying katakana characters (make Flashcards, use apps, etc)

Practicing speaking and pronunciation skills (shadow speak: use YouTube and some tv shows)

Practice realistic listening skills (YouTube videos, tv shows, anime)

Purchase Genki I and Genki II workbook and textbook + Answer Key and chart bundle

Kept a minimum of a 7 - 10 day streak on Duolingo

Joined Japanese club at my university

These are my current goals for the month of September! As the weeks continue, i will assess my progress and build new monthly goals depending on my current progress levels. Iโ€™m really excited to be doing this and sharing this journey with everyone. The biggest thing about why I made this blog the way I did was to keep myself accountable for my goals and that is exactly what I plan on doing; reaching my goals!

I so deeply appreciate the encouragement and support you all show me on a consistent basis! It means so much to have this community to keep me accountable and just help keep me on track with my goals but also remind me to be kind to myself! You guys are absolutely amazing <3
