This “should” be the last post from this chapter, but there were just too many scenes to choose from. Mabel giving him the sweater actually made me cry, along with him cuddling it to sleep, and then being happy to see Mabel again in the mindscape. This fic consumes too much of my life someone stop me. @sapphosscribe

I FINALLY got my new iPad chat !! And just as I promise from my last artwork of Bill, I would make A Human Condition fanart !! And LORD the new chapter hit so HARDD !!! (Rip Bill, you would’ve loved Jinx) His crash-out was so AHH, I’m not ready to face more of his deteriorating mental state yet 😭😭

First things first, your work is amazing! I love the storytelling and character interactions, especially between Mabel and Bill. Their scenes together are pure gold. Without, your writing. I may not have survived my exams… ^^

This brings me to my message. I just saw your post about your furry employer, also known as your cat.

I just love the way that @sapphosscribe writes words. Reading a story and feeling a story are two completely different things, and I absolutely love that I can feel every word that she writes. When reading through this scene I could feel Bill’s anger radiating through the screen. I felt as though I didn’t master his expression enough in this drawing, and it needed something more to truly encompass Sapphosscribe’s words. And so as I was thinking of that I decided to actually put her words around the side. Fixed it.

Is this still technically ‘A Human Condition’ by Sapphosscribe?

So I had a dream that Bill (Specifically ‘A Human Condition’) had to draw himself a a kid with both his parents. I don’t quite remember why, but he just had to. Wendy, Soos, and all the other characters that don’t know who he really is were there, so he had to draw him and his parents as humans. This is the picture that popped into my mind and I had to draw it the next morning. This has nothing to do with the actual plot so I have no clue if this still counts as fanart.

These drawings are from chapters 8 and 13 of A Human Condition by @sapphosscribe on AO3, an amazing BillFord/Human BillCipher fic that I discovered a few weeks ago. It explores the characters' psychology and Bill's redemption, which pretty much comes down to: one step forward, three steps back.

Though I have to say, my human Bill design strays a bit from the fic's description, but you get the idea.

Anyway, I highly recommend this fic!!

The Long Awaited Update as the Prophets Foretold!

We’re all overdue for an adventure and I’ve had a blast writing this one.

First of all, there is an update coming this Sunday for A Human Condition!! I think you’re all going to enjoy it! It’s been a long time coming and I’m excited to roll it out!

Secondly, though this is not strictly Gravity Falls fanfic news, I recently went to help my mum go through her bookshelf and HOO BOY! Did I learn ALOT!

My mother, gentlefolk, the original fanfic girlie, has totaled out with 425 romance books, 45 of which are exclusively time travel tropes, 34 are thruples, 27 are gay/lesbian and an INCREDIBLY SURPRISING 64 of them are supernatural romance featuring either a vampire, werewolf, sea monster, demon, demigod, or shapeshifter.

She has also informed me these are just “the best ones” the others she donated to the library and gave away at book swaps back in the day.

She’s insane and I love her 🥰. She’s the one who turned me into a reader in the first place and inspires me to write everyday.

Despite best efforts, it’s just not ready and I’d rather hold on to it and give you guys something really good that I’m happy with than something blah that I throw out just to have it done.

📚 Hello Dear Readers 📚

I’m going to try and get you all an update to A Human Condition on Sunday. Between my whole household getting sick with COVID and writer’s block, I’ve been fighting demons trying to get it done. Rest assured, it’s in progress.

i was listening to habits (stay high) and couldnt help but think damn thats so Bill in ch21 after singing his ass out to céline dion

Funnily enough, part of my writing process is finding music to “score” scenes with in my head in order to capture the right kind of tension or emotion I need and find a way to articulate it.

With minimal spoilers, I listened to this while doing a pre-write last year for Bill’s spiral after Ford shut down the portal and cut him off.

So you all have that to look forward to 😉

But definitely a mood for post-karaoke Bill. Very good ear! 💜

I was so excited with the new chapter that I read it to fast, I'm going to re-read it later, I just want to say that the way you describe conflict emotions and thoughts hit me deep, I really like your writing. I'm not sure if I can make a deep analysis right now, but I wanted to say that I'm really enjoying your history.

And OMG in the final piano scene, I just saw the song and couldn't stop thinking, "Not you planning to play love dream to the ex dream demon lol"

Always love to get compliments on my writing style mostly because I’m still settling in and feeling out my “authorial voice” which is a tricky thing to develop. It’s nice to see so many people commenting they like how I describe things and write emotion. 🥰

Actually fell in love with that chapter and while I was rendering the background after reading, I thought about making a duo drawing of Ford playing the piano, so it be a duology !!! If there’s a reference that mimics this I’d love to grab my hand on it !!! I love parallels 🙏 (this been edited bc the lighting was messed up and i forgot the other without the lighting 😿)
