It would be interesting to see an AU where aizawa finally teetered over the edge of insanity due to trauma, with present mic there of course in some way to attempt to help.

I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to take this and so after much research this is what I came up with. I'm not completely satisfied with it but may continue it in another part eventually.

“Aizawa maybe you should get some help-” 

“No” This wasn’t the first time he and Mic have had this conversation despite not having really spoken in a couple months now. In fact, Aizawa hadn’t even come out of his house in the last two months, always muttering about something coming to get him much to his friends and coworkers' confusion. Of course this was strange even for the raven haired man as he was usually on top of his work. But from the smell of him, he hadn’t been on top of anything in his life recently. His house was dark and unusually messy for the usually neat and logical hero. “I’m serious Shouta this can’t be healthy” the usually loud and upbeat hero said seriously as his coworker looked around wildly as though seeing something that nobody else could. “They’re watching me, they’re always watching me” the dark haired man muttered walking away from his friend who stood there in the living room silently as Aizawa once again, shut himself in his room. What or who was watching him? What was he talking about? And how could they help him? All these things Mic wondered as he made his way out the front door, distraught from not being able to truly help his friend as he teetered on the edge of complete and utter insanity.

It was dark.

Much darker than any of his dreams had ever been before, with nothing but darkness everywhere he looked. 

Or so he thought.

Glancing to his right, his gaze landed on something he’d hoped he would never encounter; his child, facing off against the very nomu that messed him up at the USJ. His panic flared as his heart beat quicker than it had in a long time, but he couldn’t move. Something had him stuck in place as he watched his daughter fight the nomu using the capture weapon he himself had taught her to use. She put up a good fight, despite how much it hurt to watch as the nomu threw her to the ground over and over again he still couldn’t move no matter how hard he tried as she lost more and more blood, slowing her down enough for the nomu to get devastating hits on her, the sounds of bones breaking all too loud for him to handle as tears gathered at his lash-line. 

Finally, when it seemed she could no longer get up off the ground was he able to move as he sprinted towards her as her body twitched and limbs were splayed out in directions that surely weren’t natural. “Y/N, wake up” he said frantically, lightly smacking her face in an attempt to wake her from a slumber that seemed all too eternal. But it was no use, as her breathing slowed until it stopped all together and sobs wracked his body. She was dead.Waking with a gasp, sweat poured from his body and tears he hadn’t even noticed stained his face as he tried to ground himself, telling himself it was only a dream but it was in vain as his breathing only sped up as he rushed out of bed and into the hallway. He had to make sure she was ok, that she was here, that she was breathing. Quietly, he opened her door, wincing at the sound it made as it eased open revealing the dimly lit room where Y/N lay sleeping. Walking closer, he watched relieved as her chest rose and fell, a sure sign that she was breathing. Sitting on the ground against her bed, he let relief flood his body now that he was sure of his daughters safely if only for now.
