Last night I dreamt that Toby Fox had created a game where you played as several generations of Hiveswap cutesy art style cartoon animals in a reactor facility, and that it was a fucking disaster

The second generation was like “let’s change the reactor design” and the third was like “let’s make that even more dangerous!” and then there was just a series of generations becoming more and more incompetent and disasters piling up until something blew and I was just like “this game sucks why are these animals so incompetent, the first generation would have been fine if they didn’t fuck up everything”

I want to do a hear me out cake but i think my perception of what even counts as a hear me out has been horribly warped by the simple fact that i am on tumblr

i think what michael shelley wanted more than anything was to be loved or even just appreciated, but in the neurodivergent way where you think that the reason you aren't recognized is because you haven't done enough rather than because the people you want recognition from won't give it to you

the distortion reflects this by being bizarrely overt, making campaigns of terror against specific people, being the center (or at least a very hard-to-ignore presence) in the lives of its victims, rather than eating them outright or befriending them like helen does (which reflects a much more businesslike "get the job done, make some connections, and move on" attitude that likely reflects her job when she was human)

I have one braincell and it is unfortunately autistic. And it cant choose which old special interest to spontaneously revive. Rn its on fucking. *daria* of all things. Being in fandom spaces is so surreal-

Bc once your age hits a 'serious' number, you start to think - "damn, I should probably stop geeking and get more serious."
