One time i left a persimmon in a bag for two months and only discovered it when my hand went through it. Very very unpleasant. The really funny thing about being three-dimensional creatures is that we really cannot conceive of two dimensions. I've probably seen Euclid and Scalene drawn in three-dimensional space twice or maybe three times as many times as I've seen them drawn in two-dimensional space. We just love adding dimensions to things, and we all know what Bill looks like when turned on his side, so surely his parents are like that too! Never mind that the only reason Bill is remotely three-dimensional is because he kind of broke reality.

I know that realistically you can only fit so many movies into a list of approximately 100, but I cannot take that "How many of tumblr's favorite movies have you seen?" list that's been going around seriously because there are some truly egregious omissions.

Some of it is very clearly recency bias, which makes me wonder if the op truly wasn't on here in 2013 or so, but you're telling me you made a list of "tumblr's favorite movies" that doesn't include Pacific Rim or Mad Max: Fury Road? Because, like, I was there, Gandalf.

Fun fact about me: sometimes i know a franchise exists but i have no idea what format it’s in. Is this a podcast? A book? A game? A movie? And i’ll have to say, “no, i’ve heard of it, but i haven’t (verb of having interacted with the media) yet”. And people get weird if you say you haven’t read it and it’s actually a video game. So i usually say “absorbed” or “consumed” if i don’t know what the format is. And then i frantically google it under the table so that i can use the proper verb the next time it comes up
