Got inspired by the fantastic @the-stove-is-on-fire , I wanted to make something more complex but this will do >:)

Hi everyone long time no see. There’s a post on the miasworld tag by maddogs187. That is a pornbot. Don’t click on it, don’t click on the profile, they aren’t a new fan, they’re a pornbot with a very nsfw page. Shame the bots hit the miasworld tag somehow (it’s such a small corner of tumblr, h o w)

Okay entirely ignoring the fact none of us know what the fuck is actually going on in tmp 8, can we take a moment to just feel happy for Gerry. He was so happy, 'deeply, plainly happy' according to the script.

Gerry who in his last moments turned his back on his mother. Gerry who couldn't kill Jurgen Leitner. Gerry who was betrayed by everyone he ever knew in life. Gerry who never knew how much his father loved him. Gerry who always wanted friends. Gerry who was ready to go.

Whether tmp Gerry is the same Gerry from tma, him being happy in any capacity brings me a world of peace.

Imagine if the distortion’s hallways respond to the person trapped in them, but in different ways

Door (pre-michael): automatic and pretty fast. Just root out the things the victim finds most unnerving and change form to echo that

Michael: it’s still automatic, but the part of michael that is something sort of like a “who” keeps being surprised by the hallway shapes it’s currently in. Not surprised enough to react, especially not after years of being michael, but still “huh, that’s a new one”

Helen: no longer automatic, but a lot more precise. Human-helen’s experience with real estate means she’s seen a lot of buildings and talked a lot of strangers into buying those buildings at a higher price than maybe they should have sold for. She makes sure that the design of the corridors is optimized in a way the distortion never quite bothered with

As much as i love ruminating on michael, i also love helen, because i see her as being the best of both human and spiral, able to use everything she has from both experiences in a way “existence tied to its pointlessness” michael never really could

With their unrelenting curiosity, Eye Avatars are probably either some of the easiest people in the world to rickroll or they’re completely and utterly unrickrollable. No in between. Whether it’s the former or the latter depends entirely upon whether The Eye is lets its Avatars Know when a link is a rickroll or if it chooses not to tell them so it can instead watch them go through all five stages of grief at the sight of Rick Astley

If you delete the “tall” then either one could fit either description and i love that about them.

Hordak is silly and i don’t take criticism

One thing we don’t talk about enough is that michael distortion looks… basically normal. Like canonically.

Wiki excerpt: “Michael is a very tall man, approximately 6.5 feet, with a round face. His hair is blonde and forms ringlets that come down to his shoulders.”

He only looks like our silly horror guy with knife hands when viewed through reflections or warped glass. So technically almost all fanart done of michael is actually a reflection of a much more normal-looking drawing of a random blonde guy.

I think one thing a lot of people miss about drifting stars au (and other such aus where mabel gets cut off from her home dimension) is that she has braces.

Let me explain. I had braces put in in 2018 with the expectation that they’d come out in 2020. Then 2020 happened and i felt like it would be rather unwise to go to a place where someone tinkers with your mouth during a literal plague. Sooooo they stayed in, untouched, for a WHILE. I eventually started going again (and still needed adjustments for several more months!) I think sometime in 2021? I can only be glad the shutdown happened during one of the milder phases.

Back to mabel. Unless she has the time/money and finds someone with knowledge of human dental care, she’s stuck with those braces as they are for the foreseeable future. Which depending on the version, could be years. This will alternate between annoying and painful.

Also, just removing the wire doesn’t really help! Because of reasons, there were a few days where i had the brackets but no wire. Without the bands and wire, the brackets are SHARP. My lips were mad at me until the wire got replaced. Not only that, but the lack of the pressure feels really weird if you’re not used to it.

Anyways this has been my rant on what it feels like to have braces left on for way too long. Enjoy!
