Damn scan lines! Also, here are some backgrounds Jonathan sketched out a while ago.

Posting a little late today since we’re working on some pages for the webcomic. (check it out at highoctanerevolution.com) Here are some old thumbnails Jonathan did of X-Key kicking with red pencil.

Here’s some vectored ink art for a swag bag we gave out at last year’s C2E2. 

Lead artist Jonathan likes to do what he calls “non-destructive drawing”, in which layers or other methods are used to separate different steps of an illustration in order to make changes to specific parts.

 This can result in a lot of layers being put down but it’s nice to be able to go back and see how the rough sketch led to the final drawing :)

Working on pages for the X-Key webcomic you can read over at highoctanerevolution.com (that’s a mouthful). Gotta love Wacom! 

I can’t believe we never posted this! I left her lips on in the shading version just because I think it looks really cool. Anyway, we’re back on the webcomic and will be posting new pages regularly at highoctanerevolution.com so come check it out!

Chibi X-Key and Lilith! 

This is line art from a short clip we did in 2014. Two bandits rushing X-Key. I don’t remember why the one guy’s arm disappears like that but I know we fixed it in the final version =)
