do you ever think about how you have such double standards for fic writers vs book authors and tv/movie writers?

like you don’t like when fic writers do xyz, but when you read it in a young adult novel you have no problem, or you see it on the screen and you love it.

that’s just so funny to me. the hypocrisy is so funny to me.

you’ll bitch about an age gap fic (even though both characters are concenting adults) but you adore call me by your name which has a 17 year old fucking a 24 year old (and i’m not bashing cmbyn i love that movie i’m just using it as an example).

you’ll bitch about adult fic authors writing minors having sex with each other but you’ll watch gossip girl where teenagers are fucking like crazy on screen.

you do realize that all of that was written by adults, right? most of the media you consume is created by adults. and when we write about teenagers fucking it’s not because we want to fuck teenagers. that’s gross. we’re writing about experiences, and we’re writing coming-of-age stories because we’ve already fucking been through that shit and we have life experiences that you don’t. if we didn’t the content you would have would fucking suck. it would suck.

most of your favorite fic writers are adults. your favorite novels and tv shows and movies were all written by adults. and if you enjoy that media anywhere except for when it’s in fics why is that? is it because fan fiction authors are more accessible to you? is it because you can find us on discord and tumblr and tell us all about your favorite and least favorite parts of what we’ve written? and you can’t do that with the authors of your favorite novels and the writers of your favorite tv shows and movies?

i just think your hypocrisy is bullshit, and maybe you should think more about what the fuck you say to people who write things for free. no one is forcing you to read anything. if you don’t like it don’t fucking read it and leave the people who do write it alone.

HP Rewrite: Possible Muslim Character.

I just found out that Muslims believe that every kind of magic is Black Magic (correct me if I’m wrong). Now I’m a bit afraid of writing them into my Harry Potter rewrite, since I wanted to represent them but if it’s going to offend my Muslim readers, then I think I probably shouldn’t. Still, here’s what I had in plan for them (there was supposed to be two characters who were Muslim).

They’re best friends whose family are also very close. They’re supposed to be muggleborn witches. One of them (Zaneerah) is blind, and the other one (Saida) doesn’t have any disability. So once they get to Hogwarts and they realized just how inaccessible the school is for students with any kind of disabilities, the two muslim best friends work together to find magical ways to make life easier.

After their project is done and over with and Zaneerah begins excelling in her classes with her new spells and such, Saida finds that her passions lay in helping those with certain disabilities. She spends the rest of her school years working closely with other disabled students to find something that helps them without actually erasing their disability (if they don’t wish to).

I’m disabled, so I thought this would be a cool idea. But if it’ll offend my Muslim readers then perhaps I shouldn’t proceed? What do you think? Because I do believe that there must be magical people all over the country regardless of where they’re from or their religion, should these girls struggle with their newfound identity while at school? Maybe have some issues with their families? They would have to attend Hogwarts or some magical school because otherwise they’d become Obscurials.

I saw a post where someone posted that if the character is born with magic, then it might be viewed as a gift from Allah, but I want to make sure it’s right.

Again, if it’s too complicated, or would still offend my Muslim readers, just tell me the word and I’ll remove this idea and replace it with something else.

I’ve briefly read about Navratri, and it sounds like so much fun! It was quite shocking to me, I remember, because I’m Latinx and I thought we knew how to party. But you guys really outdo everyone by partying for nine days straight. I’d love to write about how the Marauders & Co will react and what they would do when the Potters invite them to celebrate with them.

Finally, I just googled what Khichdi was and oh my goodness…it looks so good! I want to try it now, let’s see if I can manage to find a place nearby or maybe even try to make it myself (although unlikely considering I’d burn the dorms down).

During this week, the village or family would gather around in prayer so that the Amender will show its holy compassion as a sign of compassion towards the sufferer.

Once the Amender arrives, they shall see if a person’s true self would be what they claim. If they deem it necessary, they shall begin the performance of sex reassignment, which really involves powerful magic being used while they fly in circles around their target. It is said that the experience is a mixture of thrilling and painful, so it would really depend on who the person is.

Unfortunately, this ceremony was banned in 1903 by the Minister of Magic at the time — K. Rowl. Ever since then, the wixes were forced to forget about this ceremony since they would be persecuted if they attempted to relieve a sufferer’s pain. Sufferers were soon scorned and mocked if they came out.

I’ve changed my mind about the title. It’s going to be called the “Reasons to Stay” series. I just listened to the song again and I realize that, while beautiful, it doesn’t capture the essence of the story. The new title is not a song, but I think it fits.

Today was such a good day. I finally settled on calling my Wolfstar series “The Truth Untold” Series because that’s what the Marauders are, one big, hidden truth from Harry. (It’s also the title to one of BTS’ songs, which I think everyone should listen to). I also love the fact that I finally found a half-Japanese face claim that fits Sirius beautifully I really cried. It’s Conan Gray. So yeah, today was a good day.
