Duke can see a few moments into the future but will deliver it in the most needlessly cryptic way
Jason and Bruce are arguing. Just before Jason storms off, Duke says, "If you walk out that door, you will experience unforeseeable pain and have no one but yourself to blame"
And Jason's all, "Stay out of this, Narrows"
Then he trips over his shoelace and Duke's like, "Told you so"
Post Captain Marvel identity reveal some of the other JL members try to go into Fawcett to check on Billy (cuz he’s a literal child superhero) and Billy has to chase them out like someone shooing away raccoons from their rubbish bins.
Scenario where Billy is the Champion of Magic as usual, but he knows absolutely NOTHING about magic cause the wizard just died after giving him powers.
So all the JLD members are freaking out once they find out the dude —who can make or break their careers in magic— knows fuck-all about it!
Cue shenanigans where all the magic users are trying to teach a god stuff he should know by default.
i will never understand how people can be a steph fan and hate cass or vice versa. like the venn diagram of steph fans and cass fans should be a circle. sorry but this is my truth
One day a man goes missing in Gotham. Nobody special, just another unlucky lowlife schmuck who owed money to the wrong people. The kind of guy with nobody in the world to miss him. Bruce and Babs are sharing notes when Cassandra wanders in. When she notices a picture of the guy's face her eyes harden in a way they're very unused to and she insists they put her on the case. She very pointedly asks for his name before pulling down her mask and leaping out the window.
They don't see her again for the next several days. She tears through the city's criminal underbelly with an unmatched ferocity. She's always driven but this concerns even Bruce. If experience has taught them anything though, it's that there's no talking to her when she's like this so they can do nothing but wait and hope.
Eventually she puts enough pressure on that somebody gives her a location. Not an hour later she's untying the man from a chair in a dank cellar in a dive bar on the outskirts of the city. He's not exactly on the right side of law so when he pulls the blindfold from over his eyes and sees a Bat standing right in front of him, especially this bat, he yelps and recoils in fear. Then she hugs him. She hugs him tight and holds on long enough that he forgets his fear and instead starts to feel distinctly awkward. Then just as quickly she vanishes, leaving him alone and too stunned for words.
He doesn't remember, but then, she never expected him to. It was years ago after all. A cold night, even for winter in Gotham when a petty crook decided the girl huddled on a street corner with no home to go back to looked like she needed that hot cup of cocoa more than he did. She remembered though.
TIL The Double Empathy Problem theory suggests social difficulties experienced by autistic people when interacting with non-autistic people are due to reciprocal differences, not an inherent deficiency, most autistic people are able to display good social reciprocity with most other autistic people

See, while I agree that Steph would understand Jason... Maybe even agree with a choice here and there... I can't help but feel like she'd resent him. Resent his attitude, he's Bruce's son and it's obvious. Nobody has suffered like he, and nobody can understand him. He's so hard done by and he has to be the way he is. It's all the talk of Bruce, with a half baked plan to fix the city's current issues and create brand new ones.
And Bruce bends BACKWARDS for this motherfucker. Looking the other way and giving a million chances. Stephanie knows that if she did just one thing like Jason does on the daily, she'd be Bruce's top target. If she had came back from Africa and tried to kill him, to kill OTHER sidekicks, Bruce would have wasted nothing trying to take her down.
Jason wasn't the one failed by Bruce, Jason wasn't the one that had to fake his death to get away. Jason wasn't the one hurt by Bruce.
Stephanie faked her death. Stephanie died. Stephanie saw her best friend failed time and time again by the boys.
Jason gets no sympathy from Stephanie. He's just another boy who can't control his emotions. He's another man with a gun who thinks he's had the hardest go of it, not knowing just how much worse others, how much worse women, have it.
All Jason is to Stephanie is proof of Bruce's hatred of her, proof of his bias. A boy spoiled by privilege. She would not see the boy from Crime Alley, she'd see the boy from Wayne Manor.
I think you should know that every time you update your drabbles on AO3 somebody alerts everyone in the Divine Discord server like a town crier and we all go “HURRAH!!”
You’re basically a celebrity, I love you please don’t blow up 🙏
One day you take on a fandom you know only by a single movie everyone apparently hates and the next you are vomiting fics for said fandom and learning all kinds of details along the way, always blows my mind to see how much people enjoy my admittedly sometimes wild and flat out random ideas. When I first started writing I didn't even know Billy and Mary were supposed to be twins or who Tawny was or even HOW was Billy's boss called (Mr. Morris), I just threw anything that came to mind without expecting actual feedback. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect it to blow up as it did
Very grateful for all the support and positive feedback from my readers ⚡🌟🐅⚡🌟🐅 Gonna keep that screenshot if you don't mind, haven't been this popular since the day I was born
everyone in the jla is shocked when a group of aliens bow down to billy as he's the champion of magic and they also use magic
Tawky Tawny, walking past another tiger that was quite rude to him once: *starts very obviously showing off his opposable thumbs*
The tiger: 🤬
It’s my first Ides of March on tumblr! Very excited to stab a politician
