See sometimes I worry I make Steph into to much of Cass's special person. Then other times I wonder if I make Cass to much into Steph's special person. Then I remember that these two hallucinate eachother and I give up.
I think it’s humorous when DC villians are all (inconsistently) honorable when it comes to their heroes being injured or getting unmasked, like that could never be the case for Billy Batson. His dynamic with his regular villains kinda hinges on the fact that most of them know he’s 7-14 years old, an orphan, and/or likely homeless depending on the timeline they’re attacking him.
They’re just 1000% down with killing him the moment he’s gets caught flat footed and joking with him they fail because it’s the Same Shit As Normal for Billy. He doesn’t really know any other way of life since because of his uncle’s schemes to steal his inheritance and forcing Billy to steal if he wants to come back home.
It must give other heroes whiplash.
Valentine’s wardrobe malfunction…
Scenario where Billy is the Champion of Magic as usual, but he knows absolutely NOTHING about magic cause the wizard just died after giving him powers.
So all the JLD members are freaking out once they find out the dude —who can make or break their careers in magic— knows fuck-all about it!
Cue shenanigans where all the magic users are trying to teach a god stuff he should know by default.
Superman exposed to kryptonite, call that experiencing homesickness.
This is peak spoiler design i don’t make the rules
i think cass is always quietly trying to encourage her family to protect their necks, whether training in instincts during spars or by vetoing costume designs without throat protection. she knows it's not anymore vulnerable than your soft tummy and achilles tendons, but the illogical part of her will never forget her hand slick in blood watching a body do something she's never seen before and wondering why is it doing that? what did i steal from him when i grabbed? what was so important that i tore away?
Scenario where Mr. Mind forgets his voice amplifier and when he stands in front of Billy about to monologue, Billy doesn’t notice him and just steps on Mr. Mind, killing him.
So like a few months later, Billy’s just wondering if Mr. Mind retired cause he hasn’t shown up recently.
