If I Had A Dollar For Every Well-dressed, Manipulative, Cunning Mass-murderer With A Funny Staff Thing

If I had a dollar for every well-dressed, manipulative, cunning mass-murderer with a funny staff thing that I got emotionally attached to, I’d have $2.

Which isn’t a lot, but it’s completely predictable weird that it happened twice.

If I Had A Dollar For Every Well-dressed, Manipulative, Cunning Mass-murderer With A Funny Staff Thing

(And yes, guys, I know it’s a sceptre, and I know it’s a microphone)

uh.. oh god. Ocs.

im making them for a book concept and... God its getting out of hand. I gotta do a total of ... what, 25 of them?

Its a whole thing. Tell me if your interested in the full lore.

Ima show them off in waves! So first let's do the court of the cherry blossom:

First is vimal, the head member who represents purity within the council.

Uh.. Oh God. Ocs.

then we got those below him:

Uh.. Oh God. Ocs.

malum, the judge, who's name totally doesn't mean evil in Latin. He's probably the most plot relevant character.

Uh.. Oh God. Ocs.

kocai, the herald. (Ignore the thing on the bottom, I forgot to change it). She loves skinks and speaks in sort of a southern/aussie accent..? Accent or like just way of speaking. Kinda is a jerk to everyone, but a funny jerk. She means well.

Uh.. Oh God. Ocs.

then the last of the ones I have from the court of the cherry blossom is lehrer. Named after Tom lehrer, who fun fact, lehrer means teacher/teaching!

(I still need to make like, 3 more of these guys.)

Next post gonna be about the court of the spider lily, which is like the chaotic neutral guys

Ode- a formal, often ceremonious lyric poem that addresses or celebrates a person, place, thing, or idea. It typically follows a specific structure.

Elegy- a reflective poem that grieves the loss of someone or something.

Sestina- a complex form with six stanzas of six lines each, followed by a three-line conclusion stanza.

Pantoum- composed of quatrains where the second and fourth lines of each stanza become the first and third lines of the next stanza.

There are more but this is all for now!

three cheers for sweet revenge fanart... I think..?

Due to the fact I've been absolutely pumped for the "long live" concert ofc I've basically listened to every song and the chorus of "i never told you what I do for a living" is stuck in my head sooooo.... yeah.

Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge Fanart... I Think..?

Its not amazing, but I'm still proud of it.

Writing Advice for Brainstorming

Mix genres and time periods: Experiment by combining elements from different eras or genres to create unique settings and narratives.

Use "what if" scenarios: Pose unexpected questions (e.g., What if time travel operated on emotions rather than mechanics?) to spark novel ideas.

Draw from diverse mediums: Engage with art, music, or even scientific papers to inspire unexpected plot twists.

Embrace absurdity: Let illogical or surreal ideas guide you; sometimes the wildest thoughts lead to compelling stories.

Reverse clichés: Identify common tropes in your favorite genres and deliberately invert them to create fresh perspectives.

Incorporate personal anomalies: Transform your idiosyncrasies and personal struggles into rich, multi-dimensional characters.

Use mind-mapping: Visually plot your ideas in a freeform way to uncover hidden connections between disparate elements.

Crime and Punishment: Incorrect Quotes

I would never stop thinking about this novel. I never will. So here I bless you with some incorrect quotes that I wrote on our beloved characters! Hope you like it!

Porfiry, giving a whole damn monologue throughout the novel:

Raskolnikov, internally resisting the urge to not bring his axe out again: .. you're all good, Rodya. You're all good.

---------------------------

Raskolnikov, talking about Luzhin: I said, that I don't think that he's good for you!

Dunya: How do you know what's good for me?

Raskolnikov, in an outburst: That's my OPINION!

Dunya, shocked:

Pulcheria, confused:

Razumikhin: .. oh.

---------------------------

Raskolnikov: I might have to beat someone up just to get rid of all this blind fury.

Razumikhin: Oh, wow..

Raskolnikov: Now I feel pretty sorry for the next guy who looks at me funny.

Razumikhin: Hm.. what about that guy?

Raskolnikov, turns around to see Porfiry smiling at him sinisterly:

Raskolnikov, faints and passes out: Bozhe moy—

---------------------------

Luzhin: Yup, sometimes you got to beat the ladies off with a stick!

Luzhin, swinging his stick: Back woman! Back, I said!

---------------------------

Sonya: Ha! Footprints in the sand.. but then you turn around and see another set. Cause Jesus was with you, all along.

Camera pans to the next person beside her: .. but my name is Raskolnikov?

---------------------------

Svidrigailrov, when he kills his own wife so he can marry Dunya but gets rejected after getting almost shot by her:

Svidrigailrov: Well, guess I'll die? *shrugs with the gun in his hand*

---------------------------

Raskolnikov: I'm Napoleon. I'm a hero. I'm strong. I'm brave. I did something for society and humanity. Why should I be —

The old artisan: You're a murderer.

Raskolnikov, walks away: Nope. I'm not Napoleon. I'm a failure. I've been sinned. Sorry Mama. Sorry Dunya. *soon faints in between*

---------------------------

Luzhin, exists:

Raskolnikov: How dare you breathe in our presence?!

Luzhin: Then am I not supposed to breathe? Why don't you do the same?

Raskolnikov: At least I'd be happy to die knowing you died with me too. *flips off at him*

---------------------------

Alyona, lying on the floor dead:

Raskolnikov, stares at her dead body: .. well shit.

Raskolnikov, making a cool pose: But at least I've got that money!

---------------------------

Fyodor Dostoevsky, creates Crime and Punishment:

Me, travelling back in time, and bowing down next to him: Thank you for writing such an amazing book. It changed my life.

Fyodor: But I just wrote this book about human suffering?

WAR IS OVER WAR IS OVER

RAAAAHHHH WAR IS OVER 🔥🔥🔥

I think I cooked on that test hbu? :3

WAR IS OVER WAR IS OVER
Dostoyevsky Was Surely A Master Of Nomenclature As Well. I Don't Know If All Editions Include This, But

dostoyevsky was surely a master of nomenclature as well. i don't know if all editions include this, but my copy of crime and punishment (penguin) includes info on the names of the characters and their meanings. dosto's versatility is unbounded since even the names of characters match with their actions and character traits.

from raskolnikov's name, "raskolot" means to chop or split. "raskolnik" refers to religious schismatic. "razum" in razumikhin means intellect or reason. "zametit" from zametov's name means to observe. most importantly, sofya who is mentioned often as sonya, refers to wisdom.

Neither enemies to lovers nor slow burn but a secret third thing called Schrödinger's intimacy. We are in love and we are not in love do NOT open that lid I swear to God.
