STOPPP I’m going to cry this sounds exactly like something he would do and you KNOW those letters are going to be so sappy and so full of love that it would seem false coming from anyone else but every word is completely honest and he’s not exaggerating how he feels in the slightest. The ones from early in the relationship are going to be so sweet especially the one where he says “I think I’m really falling in love with you” mmmmm yeah you’re going to be spending you’re wedding night crying hysterically over how thoughtful he is which will confuse him because all he’s doing is telling you how he feels

TMNT in correspondence to elements of earth

So my friend (who's a big nerd) walked in on me fangirling about TMNT and commented on how he didn't really like the series because the character development sucked. Of course I argued back but none of what I was saying was making any sense to him, so finally I attempted to put my insight into a perspective that he would understand.

As I see it the family of turtles (and their rat dad/sensei) are similar to aspects of the earth. Imagine that earth itself is New York City and the sun is the Foot Clan, each member of the family is an unseen force connecting to the earth.

Leo is the magnetic field surrounding the planet and keeping everything in place. He could also be gravity because he keeps the team grounded and in place even when they try to break and or test the boundaries. His family expects him to always do his job and they rely on him to lead them, but sometimes he finally starts to feel the strain of keeping everyone together and considers giving up. However he continues his efforts because that's what he's supposed to do, so he puts his problems aside and does what he needs to do for his family.

Raph is solar flares sent from the sun because some people who aren't familiar with the film think he's going to turn and go rogue (which he kinda does in 2007), but also because his opinion is contradictory to the other family member's. He also clashes with Leo (the magnetic field) who keeps him from causing destruction, and although his take on things are normally considered dangerous or extreme, after passing through his brother's rage his words come out as something beautiful that people treasure if they take the time to appreciate it (in other words it becomes the Aurora Borealis). Plus he tends to remind the team that there's a whole other point of view of which to view things from, constantly giving the team a reality check.

Donnie is the atmosphere, giving people the air they need to breathe easy and also evolving the species according to the environment. He may not always be viewed as a very important piece of the team but he is an essential aspect of their success. His inventions make it possible to get things done and are why they didn't die jumping off a plane. He is prepared for anything and never hesitates to do what he needs to do to help his family.

Mikey is the weather, giving everyone what they need to keep moving. When the team is in a heated argument he's the clouds attempting to cool the mood, when they feel like giving up and quitting he's the e rain giving them the small push to keep moving on and growing. People see him as annoying and assume he's just getting in the way when in reality his 'unnecessary humor' is just him trying to lighten the mood and cheer everyone up as well as cheering them on.

Then Splinter is the core of the earth, keeping the planet, and it's elements, under his good influence and keeping everything running smoothly.

All in all I think I did a pretty good job, although my friend is now concerned with how much time I'm spending on anything related to the fandom. 😂

Gotta say, tbh, yesterday I was touching up a client's hair while they relaxed and all I could think about was riding tf out of Leo or being pinned down by Donnie. 😣😩

And I don't regret shit.😄😆😳😘

Dude if you had to Chose to marry any of the Turtles who would you marry? Only one!!

We know I love both Donnie and Leo, but when it comes down to it I think it depends on the day.

Today is a Donnie day. I'd love to wake up in the middle of the night to the smell of coffee and walk into the kitchen to see a fresh cup but your husband nowhere in sight. You find him in his lab downstairs, head resting against his arms and a screwdriver still in his hand as he let out soft breaths.

Nights like these would be common with him, and you'd rub his shell to wake him up and lead him slowly back upstairs to your bedroom to get some sleep.

Leo on the other hand would go out for early morning runs. He usually woke up a few hours before you, but sometimes he'd wake you up and insist you join him, even volunteering to carry you.

So there you were, still in your pajamas hugging his shell with your eyes closed as he kept across the rooftops. When he came to a stop he patted your hand and told you to look. He always found the perfect places to watch the sun rise, yellow fading to pink and then purple that stained the clouds as the city began to wake up.

You nuzzled into him as you watched, grateful to have such a peaceful moment until it was time to return home.

Would it be too much to ask for an extremely fluffy poly fic? Like Donnie and Leo want to do something sweet and special for their girl (maybe it's her birthday, or their anniversary, or maybe cause they feel like it) and it's just a bunch of fluff and cute moments with sweet tender kisses. It was a typical Friday night. The work week was done and she was on her way home. Despite the exhaustion that was written all over her face, she was smiling. Later on that night both Leo and Donnie were supposed to come over.

It had all started when the two of them interrupted a purple dragon from taking advantage of her. After that night, either Leo, Donnie or sometimes both would visit her a couple of evenings during the week, and she would stop by the lair. It didn’t take long for an attraction to build. There were two issues though. One, she was drawn to both. Leo was tactical, courageous and honourable. Donnie was a scientist and an inventor, a veritable technical genius. Two, they both wanted her.

Leo: his jaw would drop just a little when they fall against his shoulder, body racked with sobs. he’d pull them close instantly, forgetting completely about how nervous he used to be having them close, how his face would heat up uncontrollably… he’d only care about making them not hurt anymore. he’d rub their back and let them cry, saying over and over again, “please don’t die. the world wouldn’t be the same without you.”

Raph: he’d take hold of their shoulders say with all the tender seriousness in the world, “Listen. I know things suck right now. But” he’d poke their nose and make em giggle just a little through their tears “you have to promise me you’ll NEVER let anything make you feel anything less than completely worth it. ‘kay?” He’d hug them fiercely. “Cuz you’re awesome, and if I believe it, then… no one else’s opinion matters. Cuz…cuz I’m awesome too.” Cue more tortured laughs.

Donnie: he has an enormous vocabulary, a huge vault of memory that holds thousands, maybe even millions of iotas of knowledge. He could spout off any sort of advice he wants… but let’s be honest, Donatello knows what it feels like to be without hope. He looks at them with the most heartbroken look, and just opens his arms a little. His crush slams into his bear hug, and they sit there, buried in each other, letting sorrow wash over and through them for a while.

Mikey: he’d say “oh baby cakes, no…” he’d rush forward and wipe the tears from their eyes, offering them a tiny smile. “whatever it is, i’ll help you through it. pinky promise.” he takes their hands and attempts to entwine his huge last finger with their finger. he’d grin, but the smile would fade when he saw their sad  features. he’d stroke their cheek real gentle, and whisper, “we’ll get through this. YOU will get through this. You can do it.”
