Military Dress Sword
Dated: circa 1787-91
Culture: English
Medium and techniques: gilt brass, wood, fish skin, silver wire, gilt, blued steel/etched
Measurements: overall length 95cm; blade length 62cm
The sword has a gilt/brass hilt with an oval pommel cap. The oval wooden grip is covered in grey fishskin bound with herringbone of silver wire. The straight steel two-edged blade features etched gilt and blued panels decorated with Royal Arms and military trophy.

I…okay!! i’m not particularly good at armour or teaching or well anything really so if anyone wants to point out mistakes or add to this feel free to do so, i’m not sure what part you struggle with so i included shading too? I hope this helps! I’d suggest looking at different medieval armour suits to have a better idea of the parts and shapes but here goes nothing

Odd question. But can you post a closeup on your personal preference on how to hold a knocked arrow when you draw?
As you can see in a lot of my pictures, I prefer the Mediterranean Draw, even though I shoot a Mongolian Horsebow as well as the English Longbow. The reason for this is simply that I was taught the Mediterranean Draw when I first picked up archery and I just stuck with it. It is what works best for me!
