Fact time : the place where they had the Metal/Marie Antoinette scene is the Conciergerie, which was a prison where a lot of people were detained in horrible conditions. One of its most famous prisonners was... Marie Antoinette, who lived her last days there before being brought to the gallows.

The blood spraying out of the Conciergerie symbolised (for me) all the deaths linked to this-still very interesting- place.
