zoeymau unrequited love makes me so crazy ya’ll have no idea. like i am an aarmau shipper til the day i die but zoey and aphmau were SO sapphics. like if i had to chose a ship other than aarmau for endgame i would have to pick zoeymau! they’re so important. zoey being in love with aphmau while aphmau loves aaron is just so 💔💔💔 she deserved better fr. this is why i am going to propose my zoeymau queer platonic partners headcanon because it just makes sense. theyre sooo platonic partners. you cannot fight me on this you will just lose
i could go on and on about mcd zane’s characterization for HOURS dude i’m so fr. cause like i firmly believe that mcd is the type of media that allows fans to interpret any character however they want because canon is weird and full of plot holes- BUT! personally i could never see mcd zane as anything but a villain. like that man was a FREAK. he slaughtered whole ass villages and hurt literal CHILDREN for fun like cmon guys. and like ik some people aren’t fans of mcd aaron so they kinda ignore his character and stuff but if you do pay attention to his backstory you would really understand why diaries zane is such a horrible person. like he slaughtered the dude’s entire village! you can hate aaron all you want but that was so fucked up . and what’s also horrible about it is like he probably did it to MULTIPLE villages too, cause there was no reason to just only go after falcon claw lets be real, he wanted to do more then that. PLUS literally everything that happened in season 1 ???? dude literally RUINED LIVES. LIKE ARE WE FORGETTING ABOUT ALEXIS ??? OR THE ENTIRE WEDDING DISASTER ?? like WHAT 😭 and again i’ll say that you can redeem zane and stuff in your rewrite i’m not judging anyone for that- i just know personally i could NEVER do that. it just like- kinda takes away from the whole point of his character in the story i feel ? not that you can’t do that cause jess fucked up mcd’s writing tremendously- but i just feel like zane was such a good villain. his purpose was to be a villain. so like- i know that keeping him that way in my rewrite at least is what i’m going to do. like he’s silly and absolutely bonkers insane but that’s part of the charm! the entire reason i think hes cool is BECAUSE of how evil he was. idk i just think hes neat slash derogatory (that’s a joke)

im a big fan of the headcanon that zoey knew about aarmau’s sessions in the woods and just didn’t say anything, because that just makes the situation ten times funnier. like she like 100% knew they were getting down and dirty but she just— kept quiet. like its just hilarious to me and I don’t know why. and don’t get me started on everyone around them starting to like slowly catch on too. travis totally placed bets on why aphmau kept disappearing into the forest every evening- like they were all dedicated into finding out what the fuck was going on let’s be fr 😭😭
i always thought aaron and katelyn’s dynamic in mcd could’ve been so interesting if jess had expanded on it at all. like- they had so much in common!! they had a common enemy, and also both lost their lovers to said enemy’s hands. and the little kids of phoenix drop all looked up to them too! THEY BABYSAT TOGETHER </3 like cmon guys you gotta hear me out here. they were best friends- trust me
i was thinking abt the nymphs on that one island in mcd and like how one of them turned into aaron after he died to to fuck with aphmau and like. imagine if we ignore the logistics of it, one of them turned into lily to try and keep aaron from rescuing nekoette ane dimitri from the demon warlock that one time…. like oh my god the angst potential. .

I’ve been thinking hard and and like… the idea of mcd aaron being part of the jury of 9 in the beginning of mcd is so interesting to me. it would make sense too- if we really think about it. zane would’ve actually had a reason to go after falcon claw if it meant aaron would be forced onto the jury- since he’s shad descendant and therefore powerful enough to be a huge help to them.
and aaron wouldn’t have a choice in the matter- since zane had full control over the entire situation. so despite how much he despised it- aaron would join the jury. it was that or death. and despite everything- at the time, he was too scared to die. so he joined- and stayed for a while.
He wasn’t particularly close with any of the other members- but he didn’t hate Jeffory and Katelyn. They weren’t as cruel as the others tended to be, so he was sometimes friendly with them to an extent.
But then Jeffory died- and Katelyn had to mourn him. Something flipped in Aaron’s mind that day- seeing another person lose their lover like he did. Jeffory was killed by the same hands that took lily- and it broke something inside him. He watched katelyn sail to phoenixdrop to get answers- and eventually he followed.
there’s so many things that could happen after that- but i’m suuuuper tired so I’m just gonna post this and get back to ya’ll later on this lmfao 😭

bro the interaction between shad and aphmau in the woods in season 3 will never fail to destroy me. like. when shad uses aaron’s voice to try and convince aphmau to lead him to alina? my godddd dude. and don’t get me started on the fact aphmau wasn’t believing him until he used aaron’s voice to say “what’s wrong? are you feeling alright?” in such a genuine tone that she started to actually think it was him. LIKE ??? THATS SO FUCKED UP ???? the only reason she started to believe shad was aaron was because he was speaking to her softly, like aaron used to do !!!! she remembers his voice comforting her all those years ago!!! what the fuck!!! i’m so so sad over it because shad had her wrapped around his finger so quickly SOLELY because he was using her dead lover’s voice. LIKE OH MY GOD 💔💔 she only realized it wasn’t him when he called her irene- because her aaron would never call her that. she shoved him away so quickly too! she was probably so heartbroken and furious. how could shad do that to her? it wasn’t fair!
ALSO WHEN AARON GETS CONTROL BACK BRIEFLY SO SHE CAN RUN AWAY???? MY GOD DUDE. the way she was so hesitant to leave, despite knowing shad was likely going to kill her- only because she didn’t want to lose aaron again. she wanted to stay for him- but didn’t because he urged her to go :( i’m so sad, man.
