Missing
He disrupted the crisp, foggy air with his hurried gait. A man dressed in a brown trench coat and a peculiar black top hat moved swiftly but stiffly, as if trying to act casual, through the dim lit, narrow, cobbled street of Paris. Mist drifted lazily at his feet due to his fast pace and a crescent moon peeked from behind the dark, heavy set clouds, just barely illuminating the mysterious, harried man's face. Beads of glittering sweat had gathered on his forehead and brows while his face held a sickly pale pallor. Though his face was blank, there was poorly concealed fear in his dark eyes. His hands trembled and lips quivered, twitching the greying goatee on his chin, for the barest second. His shoulders were tensed and held taut and his back was ramrod straight as he took a sharp turn into another street. The lights flickered but he continued, his pace getting swifter. The lampposts puttered and the lights went off allowing darkness to envelope the surrounding. For a long minute there was stillness and silence. Even the echoing clacks of the man's shoes had halted. After a minute, the lights flickered on again and underneath one of the lampposts lay, on the dewy ground, a brown trench coat neatly folded and a peculiar black top hat resting on it. The man himself, was nowhere in sight.
something i've been wondering about recently is if jake and jermane age differently? like if jermane is still alive cause he ages at a different rate than jake. It would make since if they did since they aren't the same species technically.
I just wanna talk about Finn for a minute and his importance to Fionna and Cake, or more specifically Simon.
Both of them are going through very very similar things right now. Simon lost the love of his life, Bety, and he's not able to move on. This is very evident from the fact that he is trying to summon Golb and how depressed he is right now. Finn also lost someone very important to him. He lost his brother and he is also not able to move on. In the Distant lands special Finn literally says that he was never able to move on from Jake's death. With them both suffereing through basically the same thing and having known each other for so long, it's obvious that they would both become very close and confide in each other to help the other through the pain they are feeling.
But, Finn has support systems he can go to. He is able to connect to the world he is in better because he grew up there. He has a better reputation then Simon does and a better understanding of the world. Simon is mentally isolated right now. He's a normal dude living in a magical world and no one else around him can relate to that, not even Finn. This separation from everyone else is expressed through everything about Simon. From the way he talks, to the way he dresses, the things he's interested in, even his color pallet.
Finn's important to the show to demonstrate Simon's separation. And if I can be delulu for a minute, I think that having Simon be around someone going through the same thing while being able to get so much support from everyone around him will worsen his mental state. Because also remember, Finn has direct friends and family. We see him with his nephew in the first couple of seconds he was on screen. He talks about how he's going to talk to Huntress Wizard. All at the same time, Simon has no one. Marci is there yes, but she can't be there for him like he needs, she has her own life. At the end of the day Simon's alone.
I think it's clever for the writers to introduce this opposition. It's a great way to emphisize what Simon's going through and bring back a great character. It makes me sad to see Simon like this though, I just want him to be happy :'(
ok so i just had a thought. im rewatching adventure time and got to the episode crossover. in the episode the litch's hand gets thrown into the multivers portal or whatever it is and there is now on in every universe.
now, there is going to be an at spin off about fionna and cake and simon traveling the multiverse. my thought is that the show is gonna follow the crew going around the multiverse destroying these things.
time adventure is the reason i have depression
I find it so poetic that adventure time quite literally ended with a song saying "no matter when or where you are, we'll always be here forever." and it makes me cry EVERY TIME
