Here is the design concept for Monster Kid or “MK”.
I added a height chart of Vani & Sans for comparison.
For context:
MK was dusted during the events of NPHRA (based off the wound, most likely by the human).
They were revived by Vani & became her assistant, albeit not a good one.
Vani & MK grew up together & were close friends.
As for why MK is half gray, I’ll let guys figure it out.
I’m going to be redrawing the past character designs, mainly to adjust their design & heights.
Anyway, here’s the design concepts of Vani (Dr. Serif) & Sans (Murder/Dust).
I drew 3: one showing their current design, one showing how they looked before (for Vani, it’s after the events of Dusttale, but it’s before the current design), & one showing off their body (sorry if the bodies look weird, skeletons are hard to draw).
For context: Vani is 5ft 7in, while Sans is 4ft 10in.
Here are my takes on the Gaster’s Followers.
They will play an interesting part in the story, along with an explanation for why they look & act the way they do. I’ll probably explain their backstory more when I post the “promo” art featuring them & a few others.
I want to give them other names besides “Gaster’s Follower 1, 2 &3”; I have a few ideas that I’ll be playing around with.

All 3 work alongside Dr. Serif, usually at least one of them is always by her side.
While their souls are still there, their vessels are no longer theirs to control. Their body, their smiles, their voices belong to him now.

Regarding their designs I’ll explain the following:
Follower 1 has a similar appearance to the Ficus Licker in the MTT Hotel. They always kind of looked like a gingerbread man, but I decided to give them a more alien-like appearance, who also looks starved or malnourished. Also their left arm got ripped off & absorbed by Subject BV1.2-004.09.
Follower 2 has a similar appearance to the scared donut guy in Hotland. I’ve seen many people draw them as a cat so I decided to do the same, specifically a bobcat or a bob-tailed cat. I decided to represent the face in their hand as a face in a mirror, while their head has a big smile. While all 3 are connected in a hive mind manner, this Follower acts like the main host or leader of the group.
Follower 3, while at first glance looks like a giant scary face, they have a similar silhouette to the stripped bird in Deltarune. I didn’t based them off a specific bird, but I did want to give them feathered legs & feet like some breeds of chickens. Also their neck can stretch to great lengths, like the Rokurokubi.
This is more of a list of art projects I want to do for this AU, and get feedback from guys or even suggestions on what I can do better based off the past few slides.
This is the first time in a while that I’m actually excited for a big project.

I’ll probably write the actual story first & then make a comic off it, or I might just say “screw it, I’m gonna do the comic first & hate my past self when I have to base the story around whatever I drew”. We’ll cross that bridge when we get there.
Multiverse Interactions
Yes I’ll be including other universes interacting or just observing this AU; it’s mainly gonna be the Bad & Star Sanses, but I might include a few others as non-canon interactions for fun.
Ask Blog (Maybe)
If this gets popular enough or I get a lot of questions, I might do an ask blog that the characters will answer or just be in some funny shenanigans.

I’m going to be doing the Dreemur Family (& a certain skeleton) first since I have a solid idea for their designs.
Here are my takes on a froggit & a whimsun.
I’ve never drawn a frog-based character before, so sorry if the portions look weird. While for the froggit I didn’t based them off a specific frog, I based the whimsun off the Hummingbird Hawk Moth.
Hopscotch
Hopscotch, or Hoppy, works as the supply runner & delivery for the Underground. They deliver messages, food, or even resources for the DT injections.
Hoppy is down-to-earth & has a somewhat “southern” charm. While they’re unable to verbally understand what others are saying (& vice versa), they do understand the general vibe that the individual is saying. Though other froggits, amphibian-based & some insect-based monsters can understand each other relatively well.
Before anyone asks, Hopscotch is not “pregnant” with a tadpole, it’s much worse.
Wyllow
Wyllow “works” as extra eyes & hears for supply runners, mainly works with Hopscotch.
Wyllow is afraid of almost everything, probably their own shadow. If she gets spooked during a run, she’ll hide in Hoppy’s backpack or just run away if the bag is full. Though she does try to comfort others if they’re scared as well, but ends up just becoming a stuttering mess.
Some monsters will sometimes use her as a plushie due to how soft her fluff is.
Here are my take on what I’m gonna call the Blookies.
I didn’t have a lot of ideas for their design, but then I was watching a playthrough of Ghostwire: Tokyo, where they encountered a Teru Teru Bozu (which kinda looks like a sheet ghost).

Mettaton & Dummy (Ruins) are siblings
Napstablook & Mettaton are still cousins
Napsti Blooki (Napstablook)
Napstablook works as a DJ with his cousin in Hotland. He also works in coding, programming, & encryption for Dr. Serif.
He has a somewhat pessimistic & almost depressing demeanor, but has a calming aura that seems to keep everyone around him content & relaxed.
He prefers to be alone most of the time, but doesn’t mind being around a few other individuals (mainly his family, or MK).
Madsti Blooki (Madstablook)
Madstablook works as lookout & a bodyguard for the supply runners (albeit begrudgingly).
He’s pretty hot-tempered & isn’t afraid to start a fight for the pettiest of reasons. Though he does secretly care greatly about his family & friends, but he would rather burn alive than admitting that.
He & Dr. Serif bump heads pretty often & get into violent screaming matches (mainly due to a combination of Mads’s temper & V’s stubbornness).
Oddsta Blooki (Oddstablook)
Oddstablook works as lookout & to alert Dr. Serif whenever a human falls into the ground.
They’re incredibly hard to read, often wearing a blank expression. It’s impossible to fully know what they’re thinking. Only their family seems to know what they’re feeling.
They hardly ever talk, mainly using gestures or drawings to “talk”. Though they do occasionally giggle whenever someone tells a joke.
Hapsta Blooki (Hapstablook)
Hapstablook works as entertainment for the whole underground (at least to those who are remaining).
He tries his best to keep a positive mentality throughout the underground, still doing his shows to entertain the audience. Though it’s starting to show that he’s slowly lose hope & is having a tough time keeping up with his persona’s “fabulous” personality.
His robotic body was destroyed during the events of NPHRA. He’s been begging for Dr. Serif to rebuild it, but she keeps brushing him off, saying it’s a “waste of resources”.
I tried to keep their designs simple, but I think I might have overdone it with Hapstablook.
I’m going to be creating front & back views of character designs for what I’ve decided to call this “AU”, Dusttale: Revived.
In these blogs, I’ll show the design concept for a character along with a brief description of their role in the story.
As I stated before, this story is gonna focus more on the NPCs (at least in the first half). So most of these design concepts are gonna be side/background characters from the game (there are gonna be main/boss characters in the story as well).
Now onto the first 2 character designs:
Dr. Robert “Bob” Temmer:
Dr. Temmer is a scientist that works alongside Dr. Serif on testing & experimenting with the revised DT injections & their side effects.
He usually wears a tired & annoyed expression when out in public, but does get a hint of smile when his wife visits him at lunch.
He doesn’t fully agree with Dr. Serif’s way doing things, but doesn’t exactly have a lot of authority or power to fight back. So he just mumbles his complaints & avoids causing trouble.
Mrs. Temantha “Temmie” Temmer:
Temantha, or just Temmie, is the lovely wife & #1 supporter of Dr. Temmer.
They both use to live back in Waterfall in Temmie Village, but after an incident, they moved into the MTT Hotel (which was renovated to act as housing for the remaining survivors).
While many find her annoying & a bit too lovey-dovey with her husband, Temmie is able to make the most sour individual wear the biggest smile.
These are just the basic designs for now. I’ll most likely be creating more detailed character sheets for characters, but I just want to get a basic design concept & backstory done first.

This is in reference to my take to Dusttale, or more accurately, the aftermath/sequel to Dusttale.
I’ve posted about this “revamp” of this AU in a previous post, but as a refresher:
This AU of an AU takes place after the events of Dusttale with some minor alterations. The story will mainly revolve around the survivors (heavily NPC based, with some main characters & my OC Vani). However, a few of the survivors try to bring back the dead by using a DT injections (much like in the game, except in this version: Alphys used Artificial Determination while the survivors use Determination collected from the human souls), also these new DT injections are mixed with the 7 human soul traits. This does work, but with some minor complications, which will be explained more in the notes.
Now to explain the question:
Basically the author of the notes is writing down their research & findings of each human souls; things like how common each trait are within humans, what injection they are used in, side effects of said injections, rpg style stats, etc. However there are 2 items of information that I might need some help on: What sound/pitch each soul trait makes &, for a hint of humor because “Undertale”, what each soul traits tastes like.
That’s where I looking to you all for assistance/headcanons for this.
*Side Note: When I say sound/pitch, I’m referring to the amount of Hertz (which I think is the measurement of sound wave frequency or pitch)*
*Side Side Note: In this AU, the red human soul trait is not Determination (since all humans have it) but instead is Willpower (I’ve seen a few saying it could be Love since its in red, but I think Willpower makes more sense)*
I already have the frequency picked for each soul, now I’m just trying to figure out what specific sound/noise they make.

I’m first gonna start in character profile & information in regards to the story, as well as building their character. While the main characters from Undertale are relevant to this story, it’s actually gonna focus more on the NPCs, plus my OC Vani.
I’m planning on doing a character info & status sheet (like something found in infection AUs) along with a picture of how they’ll look. I’ll be doing the same to the reanimated monsters, or as I’ve been calling them “the Revived”.
If anyone has any better name suggestions for the AU or for the classification of the characters.

While working on the headshot rough drafts for the AU variants of Neue, I’m also brainstorming on some concepts for, I guess a reimagining of a few AUs. This is not me trying to “improve” the original AU, it’s just me wanting to have some fun & doing my take of other AUs.
This is gonna be a veeeeeerrry looooong post.
The main 2 I’ll be working on are Horrortale & Dusttale.
I wanted to get opinions & suggestions for these concepts before delving too deep into these ideas. Please tell your thoughts on this & if I need to change/improve on.
Horrortale will be more appearance-based, meaning that I won’t be doing a lot of story building & it’s more of just redesigning the characters to look more “monstrous”. Basically they’ll be more animalistic or feral & their bodies would have gone through heavy changes to “adapt”.
*This is literally an excuse to draw the characters as big & scary horror movie style “monsters”. I guess this would make it similar to the Underworld AU, but the story or origin for the change would be similar to Horrortale, but takes place even further after the Neutral Route*
For right now, I’ve been calling this AU of an AU: Feral!Horrortale. But a few others are Dwellertale/Underdwell, Undercave/Cavetale, Carnitale & or Undermaw.
I’ve written a few ideas for their overall appearance based on Nocturnal & Cave-Adapted animals. I won’t list all of them otherwise this post will be way too long, but here are a few:
Eyes
Will become bigger
Pupils will become extremely dilated
Will become blind, either with cloudy Pupils or losing their eyes completely
Mouth
Jaw becomes much stronger
Able to be unhinged
Senses
Becomes extremely sensitive to light
Scent of smell & hearing will become much more heightened
May develop echolocation due to loss of sight
General Appearance
Depending on location, those in colder areas will become bigger, while those living in hotter areas will become smaller
Aging will slow down, longer lifespan
Psychological Changes
Will become much more aggressive & animalistic/feral
Start to communicate through nonverbal communication: clicking, chirps, barks, croaks, etc.
These are just a few of concepts for this version of Horrortale.
For Dusttale, it’ll be more story-based, but will have some illustrations here & there. The main differences is that Vani would be from this version & would detail an alternate ending for Vani, also this version would include Sans being “hired” to work for Nightmare.
Now before I go on about the basic concept for this AU, I’ll need to explain a few things first:
Sans’s Killing Spree: I don’t know if in the original he killed all monsters (I kept getting mixed answers or no answers at all), but in this version he only killed most monsters. There were a few that were able to get away & hide before Sans could get them; Sans only wanted to get enough EXP to reach LV 19 or 20 (I can’t decide which one yet). Vani, & probably characters like Monster Kid, Napstablook & Mettaton (Ghost Form), would be one of these survivors.
*As a side note: Papyrus in this AU is an actual ghost & not a hallucination, but I’ll go over that in another post*
Frisk & Chara: In this AU, Frisk & Chara are basically “organic” A.I. attached to a “Real World Anchor” aka Frisk’s body/vessel. Chara was the original concept for the “Fallen Human”, but was scrapped due to them being too “independent & free-willed”. Frisk is the current concept prototype for the “Fallen Human”, made from original data & a blank template; however bits of Chara’s A.I. was used as filler for missing information within Frisk’s A.I., this causes Chara to appear as a glitched phantom (good example of this would be Glitchtrap from FNaF Help Wanted). Chara has little to no control over Frisk, instead they can only give “suggestions” to hopefully influence Frisk’s actions.
The Player: The Player is depicted/described as a higher entity or deity, they could be seen as the “Angel” sent to create peace between humans & monsters (this is based off the theory that the rune we see throughout the game is a depiction of 2 monsters, a human & an angel). The Player at the beginning of the route will have minimal control over Frisk, mainly able to give “directions or actions” that Frisk should follow. But the more EXP that is gained, the more control the Player will have over Frisk. This could cause a total takeover with the Player “ejecting” the A.I. from the anchor aka vessel.
How Did Vani Survive: In the most simplistic way of describing: she can’t die, her soul will automatically heal itself/her. Now in further details: Vani was born with (what I’ll be calling for now) a glitched soul; this causes the soul to look, well glitched out. However it has an ability to automatically heal itself & its body, but not through the usual way; via magic or healing items. Whenever Vani takes damage, the soul will “reload” her back to the point/time & placement right before she takes damage; however the world around her is not affected or altered by this ability, to everyone around her: she looks like she’s “lagging” or “glitching”. Fortunately, or more like unfortunately, this ability is automatically & Vani is unable to “deactivate” it; it use to be super over efficient (would activate if Vani took 1HP or less), but started to calm down has Vani got older (would activate if Vani loses half or more). Even if her HP reaches 0, the soul will activate its ability & essentially “resurrect” Vani; this is what happened when Sans was trying to kill her.
Ok now that that’s out of the way, the basic concept of this AU is…
BRINGING BACK THE DEAD!!!
Or Vani & the remaining monsters tried to improve on the artificial DETERMINATION to resurrect the fallen monsters. But it still causes them to melt, but can gain stability by “merging” with other monsters or inanimate objects (sticks, plants, sturdy clothing, etc.).
This obviously a huge info dump, but I’m super excited about this & I wanted to get everyone’s opinion or suggestion before I go too deep in.
