July 15: Meeting a new member of the family | wire
Billy shifts on his feet, uneasy and nervous.
“Are you sure they’re gonna like me?” Billy asks Danny as he fixes his shirt for the nth time.
Danny just rolls his eyes with a smile, elbowing Billy lightly.
“Don’t worry so much! They’ve been bugging me to meet you since I told them about you,” Danny replies soothingly.
Billy can’t help but let out an uneasy breath, shaking his hands out to try and rid himself of some of the nerves. It helps, but only slightly. He really does want to make a good first impression on Danny’s family.
“Okay, okay let’s meet them before I get so nervous I change my mind,” Billy states, reaching out to grip Danny’s hand tightly in his own.
Danny offers a soothing smile as he squeezes Billy’s hand gently, offering some comfort. Then, he reaches his other hand out, curling his fingers as nails extend from the tips. In one motion, he swings his hand in the air, a portal opening in front of them.
Billy gets tugged through before he can think too much about the fear and anxiety of entering a portal that leads to someplace he’s never been before.
The first sensation he feels is cold, freezing cold. Followed by warmth as a heavy coat is placed over his shoulders.
“I told you it was going to be cold,” Danny huffs good-naturedly, apparently not feeling the chill in his ghost form.
“How was I supposed to know you meant freezing and not just chilly,” Billy pouts.
Danny raises an eyebrow as he smirks slightly.
“Maybe because I told you multiple times that’s what I meant?”
Billy huffs and shoves Danny good-naturedly.
“Great One!” a voice booms before a white furred being envelopes Danny into a hug.
Billy’s eyes widens as he looks up at the being. They have two icicles for horns atop their head, blue and gold clothing and accessories adorning their body, and an ice left arm with the bones visible. Not to mention the fact that they are giant. So much taller than anyone Billy’s ever encountered … well, maybe not bigger than Darkseid, but it’s close.
“Hi Frostbite,” Danny squeaks out, voice strained from the force of the hug.
“It’s good to see you again!” Frostbite booms, finally releasing Danny.
“Good to see you too,” Danny says honestly, stretching slightly.
“And who is this?” Frostbite asks, purple eyes turning towards Billy.
Billy gulps nervously under the gaze of the yeti, resisting the urge to transform into Captain Marvel. He’s fine. This is Danny’s family. He’s fine.
“This is who I was telling you about!” Danny answers excitedly, flying over to hover next to Billy. “Frostbite, meet Billy. Billy, meet Frostbite.”
Frostbite grins and extends a hand. Billy cautiously takes it, watching how the other’s hand envelopes his own completely.
“Wonderful to meet another member of Danny’s family!” Frostbite booms, shaking Billy’s hand gently yet excitedly.
“Nice to meet you too,” Billy agrees, feeling a little light at being referred to as family.
Frostbite smiles wide and releases Billy’s hand.
“Shall we?” Frostbite asks before turning around and beginning to walk.
“Where are we going?” Billy whispers to Danny.
“To meet everyone else!” Danny answers, grinning.
“Everyone else?” Billy asks nervously, eyes wide.
Danny laughs and nods.
“You didn’t think Frostbite was it, did you?”

Billy feels like his head is spinning from how many yeti’s he’s been introduced to. First there was Frostbite’s husband, Hailwind, then Frostbite’s siblings, Glacierwalk and Snowfall. And that was just Frostbite’s immediate family!
There are the other yeti’s in the village, most of whom Billy forgets the names of. All with different names and different occupations. There’s also an elderly couple that helps look after all the Frostlings.
His head feels like it’s spinning as he shakes hands and smiles, says hello and gets handed food. His head gets pat a lot, every Yeti smiling at him widely.
Consistently, they’re all so nice to him. Tell him they’re so happy to meet him. Grateful Danny has found family in such a kind young man.
Billy feels … shy. Undeserving. Danny’s family is so kind and nice. Billy’s just … Billy. He hasn’t earned any of the great things he’s been gifted, he just does his best to do what he can with what he’s been given.
“You okay?” Danny whispers to Billy when he gets a moment to breathe.
“I’m okay,” Billy assures, slightly breathless. “Just a tad … overwhelmed? You have so many people who love you.”
Danny smiles softly as he looks out at the crowd of Yeti’s mingling.
“Yeah, I’m really lucky to have all of you,” Danny says softly.
Billy doesn’t say anything. But he’s thinking about how lucky Billy is to have Danny, not the other way around.
Danny pulls Billy into a side hug.
“If you need to leave, we can,” Danny offers.
Billy smiles kindly, warmth filling him. He’s glad to have someone like Danny who’s looking out for him.
“It’s fine, go enjoy the party. I’ll be back out mingling in a minute,” Billy assures.
Danny grins and gives a mock salute before flying back out to join everyone.
“We’re really lucky to have someone like you watching out for Danny,” a voice says.
Billy jumps slightly, turning to see it’s the leaner Yeti he met earlier. What was his name? Hailwind, wasn’t it?
“It’s the other way around, really,” Billy responds softly. “Danny has so many people who care about him. I’m so grateful I’m considered one of those people.”
“Don’t sell yourself short,” Hailwind replies, smiling. “Danny might have a lot of family, but he’s not as open as he projects that he is. Everyone in his life means a lot to him.”
Billy feels himself flush slightly.
“Well, I’m glad that Danny considers me part of his family,” Billy admits shyly. “I think we’re just as lucky to have him in our lives as he thinks he is to have us.”
Hailwind chuckles and nods in response, a smile growing on his face.
“Yes, I think you’re right.”
Together, they watch the party in front of them, joy in the air.

what things are they bad at? in what position do they sleep? who is the best at comforting them when down? are they good at comforting someone ill? for Kalt, Fuyu, Frostbite, Roma, Ale, and Winters!
What things they are bad at?
Psst. I’m going to tell you a secret. Don’t tell Kalt this but never, ever let Kalt cook. He just cooks it until it’s edible, that’s it.
Fuyu cant play an musical instrument for his life. He found a flute as a kid when he was scavenging for something to eat or sell for money, he tried playing it but it sounded horrid. He still has the flute but never played it in a while.
Frostbite is incredibly bad at making jokes. There either incredibly cringy or not even funny at all. Don’t ask him for a joke please... I beg of you!
Roma thinks she’s a good gardener but in reality, if she had to give a dollar to someone every time she killed or treated a plant badly that someone will be a millionaire.
When you think of someone that’s undercover in the Coolers Armoured Squadron. You think that they are good mentors of discipline but no... not Ale. Ale is literally too kind to even hurt a fly let alone just telling someone that they’re doing something wrong.
Decorating of their room and/or house is the interior designers job. Winters think that she can put her own zazz (not a work but whatever...) into it and she thinks it’s nice and welcoming. It not...
In what position do they sleep in?
Kalt sleeps in a foetal position so the tiny assassin can be in even smaller places. Lol
Fuyu is definitely a hugger type of foetal. It can be a pillow or someone else (*Coughs* Xue *Coughs*)
Frostbite is most likely a ‘spooning’ type of sleeper. Holds onto something to sleep. If he has a partner, He’s the one on the back end, not the front.
Roma... she’s the worst type of sleepers. On the back and spreads legs and arms around and kinda makes a mess of the bed...
Ale is stomach sleeper and puts both hands under the pillow and for some reason doesn’t drool... slug boi is weird lol.
Winters is also foetal and a clinger. She can’t sleep in another way as well or no sleep at all.
Who’s the best comforting them when down?
Kalt is rarely feeling down at all of his life. The rare times he is to be honest myself. I don’t really know. Either a secret love of his life or a therapist lol.
Xue and/or Trunks. Trunks helped Fuyu from his hard life as a child and Xue is Fuyu’s love of his life. Words from a loving person is a good way to calm Fuyu in though times.
Frostbite when down usually tries to power through it by himself which doesn’t really work out well for him. When he does reach out it’s always a family member or a lover.
When Roma is down she always went to her mother for help. Roma’s mother helped her with everything. Her mom’s death tragic and Roma had secretly never got any help... long story short, she doesn’t really have anyone to help her...
For the longest time Ale just always asked The Armoured Squadron members for help, mostly Salza for help.
Winters immediately goes to her family. First thing. Period.
Are they good at comforting someone ill?
Kalt? Pfft! Don’t really on this assassin to comfort someone unless you breakdown that assassin shell from him.
Fuyu is will die for someone so he’ll try his best to comfort someone.
Frostbite mastered the concept of comforting someone. He adopted two kids. He knows what’s best.
Roma is a mixed bag. If her comforting works then it WORKS and if it doesn’t... well she kinda makes the situation slightly worse...
Ale is such a kind slug. He shows that when trying to help someone but if his kindness doesn’t do the trick then Ale get stumped.
Winters is the exact same as ale but 10x as kinder and 10x as shyer so... yeah.
Danny Fenton—better known as the ghostly hero Danny Phantom—stood before the Ghost Council with an eager grin. He had an idea. A big idea. The kind that made the ancient spirits shift in their ethereal seats with suspicion.
“I want to host a concert,” Danny declared. “A live performance in the Infinite Realm, featuring only the greatest musicians who have passed on. Think about it—legends from every era, every genre, playing together in one place! Rock stars, classical composers, jazz icons, even K-pop idols. A once-in-an-afterlifetime event!”
The council murmured among themselves. Some of the elders shook their heads. The last time Danny had come to them with a grand proposal—his idea for Ghost Olympics—they had shot it down instantly. No precedent, no structure, no way to keep order. They feared it would descend into chaos. Now, here he was with another pitch, equally ambitious, if not more so.
One of the council members, a towering, spectral figure with glowing eyes, leaned forward. “And why, young Phantom, should we allow this?”
Danny didn’t falter. “Because it’s not just about the music. This concert will prove that ghosts from different backgrounds, eras, and genres can work together. It’s a trial run—if this works, maybe we can revisit the Ghost Olympics idea. The ghost world loves watching the living compete, but why can’t we have our own events?”
Silence hung in the air. Then, another voice spoke up—an older ghost with a beard that shimmered like mist. “A concert is… less of a commitment than an entire Olympic event,” he admitted. “And if we controlled the environment…”
Danny grinned. He had them.
Danny knew he couldn’t do this alone. His first recruit? Ember McLain. The punk rock ghost was skeptical at first—why would she share the stage with a bunch of old-timey musicians? But when Danny explained that she’d be a headliner alongside legends from all over history, her ego won out.
With Ember’s help, they reached out to Johnny 13 and Kitty, who in turn helped spread the word. Soon, ghosts of musicians from different generations were signing on—some out of excitement, others out of curiosity.
Danny personally traveled through the realms to secure talent. He convinced an old blues player who once performed at crossroads under moonlit skies. He spoke with a classical composer who had been fuming in his ghostly realm for centuries, angry that his unfinished symphony remained incomplete. Even a legendary rapper, who had left the world too soon, nodded approvingly and agreed to perform.
Knowing the event needed protection, Danny turned to Frostbite and his tribe for security detail. The yeti-like ghosts agreed without hesitation, eager to help their honorary brother.
Then, Danny took an extra step—he visited Apollo himself, the god of music. If anyone had the power to bless this concert, it was him. Apollo, intrigued by the boldness of the young halfa, gave his approval with a cryptic smile. “Let the music echo beyond life and death.”
When the night of the concert arrived, the Infinite Realm pulsed with energy. Ghosts of all kinds gathered in droves, floating above the grand, glowing stage. The spectral stadium was packed with souls eager to witness history.
The concert opened with a breathtaking orchestral performance, leading into rock, jazz, pop, and everything in between. Each artist had their moment, their set, their legacy revived in the afterlife. Ember’s performance was electrifying. The audience roared when a legendary guitarist shredded his famous solo, and when a young K-pop idol performed her final, unfinished song, even the toughest ghosts felt a chill of emotion.
Classical composers like Tchaikovsky and Beethoven brought drama with grand symphonies, incorporating ghostly elements like floating instruments and ethereal echoes. Tchaikovsky even had spectral cannons firing off in perfect sync with his music. Meanwhile, medieval bards performed modern hits reimagined in their style, transforming pop songs into ballads straight out of the Renaissance.
Michael Jackson, Prince, Tupac, Biggie, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Avicii, and Freddie Mercury all had their moments, proving that even in the afterlife, their music lived on. K-pop and J-pop stars who had left the world too soon gave heart-wrenching performances, reminding everyone why they had captivated audiences in life.
To ensure no human accidentally stumbled into the concert, Frostbite’s tribe monitored the venue using their intricate knowledge of the Infinite Realm’s portals. If any living being accidentally wandered in, they swiftly returned them to the human world. Additionally, Danny enlisted Nocturne, the ghost of dreams, to ensure that if any human did see the concert, they would believe it was nothing more than a surreal dream.
Danny, standing at the edge of the stage, felt pride swell in his chest. He had done it. He had brought the ghost world together in a way that had never been done before.
And as the final note rang through the air, a council member who had once doubted him gave a slow, approving nod.
Maybe, just maybe, the Ghost Olympics weren’t so impossible after all.

Note:Bards from medieval time will be doing cover of songs from the morden time. Akk You know songs that basically are modern time period and got a cover from the bardcore part of YouTube basically yeah if you ever look up any song like that yeah that's what the bards are doing. And yes when they sing the song it isn't medieval speech.
“Common enemies are how allies always begin." The most notorious allies in the show…. yeah… well, technically this is not all that cannon cuz *cough cough* Dan and Fright Knight…. but me boy! me story arc! Here is another thing. To do this piece, every character was sketched on the full canvas, but to help the program process all the information much faster and without any possible crashes, I took each character’s sketch and colored them on a new file. This means, I have every character as a full body drawing stored separately. What Im going to do is every day starting tomorrow, I’ll post each character, so you can have a better preview of them. Today marks another year for #Dannyversary For those that are new, 16 years ago (man!) Danny Phantom aired on Nickelodeon.

Just imagining Danny freaking his rogues out with the fact he knows (and is on friendly terms with) powerful, god-like beings. AKA:the Ancients.

The first thing Danny noticed was the teeth.
Or. Well. The first thing Frostbite noticed were the teeth. What Danny noticed was that suddenly he was being offered bigger and bigger bones with his meal, which were very much not typical human-appropriate food.
“You break them,” Frostbite showed him, pinning the bone between two sharp canines and biting down. The bone broke clean in two. Hot-dog style. “Then you are free to eat the marrow inside.”
Danny stared. “I don’t… I don't think my teeth do that.”
“Try it,” his guardian encouraged.
…Well. He hoped Far Frozen had as good a dentistry practice as they did medicine. Danny shoved the bone between his canine teeth, and clamped down—
—And the bone broke clean through.
Huh. That was…new.
Well. Marrow tasted good, anyway, and scooping the butter-soft marrow out with a spoon was easy. Danny might have clunked the wooden spoon against his teeth a couple times (man, was he clumsy today) but he was very happy with the results.
The next day Frostbite offered him an arm-length rib bone, Danny didn’t even hesitate to chomp down.
He ate through four ribs before he felt full. He was happy.
*
The second thing Danny noticed was how pale he got.
Like. As in ‘his arm matched the snow-white fur of his tundra-proof coat’ level pale. ‘White as a glacier and just as blue’ level pale. Like. There was no red left in his skin.
He pressed his thumb to his palm. It went yellow, and then flushed back to white as his blood went back in.
…Spooky. Uh. Danny blinked loudly. Maybe he was…sick…?
There wasn’t a mirror in their cave dwelling, and nothing was shiny enough to reflect in— everything that wasn’t medical was cast iron, or not quite mirror smooth, like Frostbite’s round cooking knives.
Danny needed a mirror.
He bundled up and walked through fresh snow drifts to the closest medical facility: an ice cave across from Ledyanoy and Avalanche’s home, carved into one of several dozen pillars of ice embedded into the floating island. Danny knew that there was a mirror there, since Frostbite went in for mirror therapy every time his ice-carved arm began to itch psychosomatically.
He darted inside. Pritla was the only one in there, so they ignored him in their quest for additional data. Great. All Danny needed was the mirror set up in the corner, ready and waiting to be rolled into place for Frostbite’s next session.
Danny peeked at his reflection. He looked…wow.
For one, Danny looked spooky as hell. The blue went all around his eyes, now— no whites to be seen, creating an uneasy, inhuman look. He was pale. He was very pale. He looked like the printer had run out of any colors that might have given him some sort of standing to wander reality with.
The insides of his lips were blue. The wet inner linings around his eyes were blue.
…What.
And. Speaking of…lips…his gums were a deep, sapphire blue, as was his tongue. None of that was as important as his huge freaking fangs, though!
Like! Huge! Not yeti huge, of course, but still!! Danny had no idea how they weren’t sticking straight out of his mouth when he closed it. Big, pearly fangs.
What the heck was happening to him?
*
“I think you’re turning into a Yeti,” Tundra decided primly, and flung himself at Arctic without any further thought. The teenage Yeti— still taller than Danny by two heads and a half— squawked, barely seeing the projectile cub in time to dodge appropriately.
“No,” said Danny. It was more outright denial than certainty. He wrapped his coat tighter around himself.
Avalanche, who was the closest to adulthood out of all of them, watched the two wrestle balefully. Tundra was barely out of cub age, and Arctic wasn’t much better than Sidney Poindexter when it came to having his crap together, so it was kind of like watching two frogs mud-wrestle in knee-high snow.
“I mean,” said Avalanche, mostly bored by the spectacle of Arctic getting his butt whipped by what amounted to a kid, “I’m pretty sure it’s normal for human-born ghosts to adapt to their Obsessions after they form. You have to change a little to match your environment. And we have a lot of snow.”
“So much!” Tundra howled from where he was perched on top of Arctic. His victory lasted as long as it took for Arctic to get his legs underneath himself, push himself to standing, and launch Tundra into a snow drift with a surprised squeal.
Arctic shook himself off. His fur fluffed up with the effort, which made him look larger in size than usual. “I think that if you were turning into a yeti, Frostbite would have noticed. Or said something. Or done something.”
Avalanche shook her head, gamely ignoring how Tundra had turned from a fallen-in-the-snow position to a crouching-and-ready-to-pounce position. Danny had seen this a million times now; either Arctic would notice (he wouldn’t) and dodge, or he’d once again fall victim to Tundra’s childish enthusiasm.
Danny and Avalanche largely had no comment on Tundra’s second leap of faith, nor for their mutual struggle for pubescent dominance that ensued.
There were other questions to ask.
*
“Am I turning into a yeti?” Phantom asked.
Frostbite looked down.
The half-ghost looked nervous— picking at his lip until green beaded under his teeth, his hands in the sleeves of his coat.
“No,” Frostbite confirmed. He didn’t smile, as it would have seemed condescending in the face of Phantom’s genuine worry. It was better to keep calm. “Why are you worried about turning into a yeti?”
Phantom stared up at him, eyes deep and luminous. Frostbite had seen similar coloration on deep-sea creatures, long-travelled things desperate for any sort of light. The sight was compelling, yes, but could not substitute for a verbal answer.
“...Because I’m changing colors and now I have sharp teeth and I think I’m growing claws,” Phantom pointed out. All of these things were true. They were very good, sturdy teeth, and very good, sturdy claws, which was a good sign; anything otherwise would have indicated a lack of support on Frostbite’s end.
“It is a very normal thing to want to explore other forms of expression at your age,” Frostbite pointed out. He threaded his paws through Phantom’s pale hair, and found, to his pride, little buds of ice horns. “And I am very flattered that you think so highly of us that you are interested in mimicking some of our more obvious traits; that being said, if it distresses you, you are always free to change back.”
Phantom’s face turned…lost. “Oh.”
Frostbite continued petting. More explanation would come, or it wouldn’t— but in the meantime, the human tinge returned to his charge’s cheeks, flush with red blood, and the bud horns collapsed where they grew. His charge’s hair turned dark once more, his teeth flat and human.
Phantom’s eyes were always blue. The human color was not as deep, but was just as nice. Now, there were tears in them.
“What is wrong, little one?” Frostbite rumbled, concerned. Phantom took his paw and pressed his face to it in search of tactile comfort.
“I didn’t know why I was changing,” Phantom admitted, sniffing. His voice was wet and raw. “I was scared I couldn’t go back. Humans don’t just…change like that, 'cause we're made of matter. I was scared…”
Frostbite rumbled wordlessly. His charge had adapted very well to a non-human environment, but there were knowledge gaps that would have come naturally to any Realms-Borne being; most intuitively was knowledge of the self, as well as the rigidity (and fluidity) of one’s own manner of expression.
Changing without realization would be distressing. Frostbite still remembered what it felt like to wake up some mornings and realize that his arm was gone.
“You are alright,” Frostbite reaffirmed. “It it healthy to change, and it is a good time to find out how you will want to present yourself. That being said, there is no rush.”
Frostbite paused.
“There is one rush. If you intend to partake in eating marrow with our dinner tonight, you may want to manifest your teeth again—”
Phantom laughed, little cub’s fangs poking out between his teeth. All would be well; but first, there was dinner to be had, and a good night’s sleep to be found.
I can’t explain why, but I firmly believe that the ghost yetis in the Far Frozen have the ability to fly, but they’ve adapted more to being on the ground and have gotten so used to it for centuries that they’re convinced that they actually can’t fly. So sometimes Danny worries Frostbite and other adults when he flies.
He mostly does it to keep up with them and be at eye level, but whenever he goes high or fast, they instantly remember that he’s still a young ghost and worry over the cub getting hurt.
Danny crashed once, and it caused quite a stir when he did because they thought he’d be really injured. Frostbite reached him first and nearly called him “cub”, but Danny popped out of the snow and stood up smiling and laughing like he was having the time of his life. He was a little dizzy and sore, so he had to hold onto Frostbite to stay up, but other than that, he was okay.
His reason for crashing? He was going too fast and couldn’t find another way out of crashing, so he went for the least harmful option and headed for a snowbank.
And yes, I’m currently imagining Danny having fun flying around while Frostbite is internally panicking because the cub is so high up and could get very hurt, while reminding himself that Danny’s done this before.
Behold, the hidden gem in the comments-
Headcanon: The ghost yeti’s have special little paw pads that muffle their footsteps and held them stand on snow. They’re like a lynx— their toes spread out when they step. This way, they don’t sink in the snow very much.
This is why Frostbite didn’t expect Danny to straight up vanish when he landed on the snow.
