Day 2: Goblin slayer

This one took a while to complete 😓 but it turned out pretty good 😎👌

I think the worst for gs is how similar to gb the situation is. A hot headed brat, consumed by hatred, whom older sister died by goblin? That was gb all right. And probably gb never worked on that trauma. Instead he buried it deep in his heart, and started slaying goblin, seeking to do something. Anything. All to forget. Focusing on saving people, instead of stopping and follow the five steps of suffering.

But opening his heart, started to mellow those feelings he kept in check, as useless and dangerous in battle, since they could bring distraction. Allowing him to better work with people, and doing things that he alone (may?) Never be able to. But also the trauma he left unchecked all this time. Kept fresh on purpose on his pursuit of goblin. A motive that keeps him steady before the horror he decides to live every day he walks in a goblin cave.

His guilt is not for not killing the girl. Or at least, not completely. He had no problem accepting it before, times and times again. As necessary actions. Acts of mercy, which he may have wished could have been spared for her sister, as he looked uselessly while hidden as a child. For example when Explaining to priestess that the girl could not be saved, he did so without breaking a sweat. Instead already going again to save the the last girl.

It could also be survivor guilt, as he started enjoying his time with his team, when there are people that he could not save. And realized only now, remembering the girl while everyone was preparing a party.

The most heartbreaking is how he decides to suffer alone. Deciding to run away from all the people he learnt to call friends.

He is probably condemning himself, thinking that after all this time, nothing changed. His actions were not able to save a little brother (him) from having his family (gs's sister) die on him. Useless, as he was under that hiding place. Back to when he was looking at her sister being violently tortured (it was torture stfu) and unable to do anything to help her.

Not true, as we know. In fact, We could say that the simple fact that gb saved the hero, was enough to have saved the world. And even if gb doesn't know it, many villages have showed their appreciation to him. But remembering his trauma, gs can't see all the good things he did. Only what he didn't. Making it his fault.

Sorry if it is written so badly😝. English is not my first language, and i was going to sleep. But gb is a quite complex character, and I adore how much you can extrapolate by his actions. And seeing a openly weeping gs was probably a surprise for us all. I just couldn't describe how truly f*cked up our poor gb is. Only try. So if anyone thinks otherwise, don't take my words for guarantee, alright?😉

P.s. does anyone else think gs under his armor is just a big dork uncomfortable when in companyn other people? It is difficult when you speak to someone and are unable to see their face. Mostly because you can't see their expressions, and are unable to figure what the other people is thinking. I don't doubt GS is wearing his armor for strictly pragmatic reason. But could it be that his many years by his master, left him unable to converse normally with people? And let's not forget that even after, he would pass most of his time alone hunting goblin. Leaving precious few times to speak with others. And even then, he would just hurry back to another quest. So he may be socially stunt? It is called like this when a child can not form a social self to relation with others?

P.p.s i will probably give this thing a second look later. I already dread to how many mistakes i will find when I will read this tomorrow 😅-×🧱

Goblin Slayer Ch. 63 [SPOILER] ⚠️

Yes, because of your arrogance or stupidity, you got caught in a trap, endangering your companions. But finally, you learned your lesson, you little (bleep)!

OH NO! The wizard who got killed in the beginning was his sister?

OH MY GOD!

Oh, no. 😭

If I recall, his sister and their companions (including the priestess) were Porcelain ranked who take a goblin slaying request WITHOUT any plan. They just headed straight to the goblin’s lair. Also, they got killed because they underestimated the goblins. Well, not all of them.

His sister, the wizard, gets poisoned by the dagger the goblins stabbed her with, and Goblin Slayer killed her out of mercy because she will not survive for so long.

And now, Goblin Slayer felt guilty for killing his sister.

It’s the first time we see Goblin Slayer cry ever since his whole village were raided by goblins.

Will that guy finds out the truth?
