The common room buzzed with the sound of your classmates unwinding after another grueling day of training. Izuku was in his own world, pacing animatedly in front of the couch, hands flying in every direction as he analyzed the latest hero battle footage on the TV. A clip of endeavor's most recent battle replies on the screen, the reporter adding their own analysis, and Izuku visibly brightens.
"Here! Right there! Endeavor uses his Jet Burn to counter that villain's quirk, but you can see here. He's already calculated its trajectory based on—"
You sat slouched on the couch, one hand propping up your chin while the other clutched a glass of water. Ice cubes already melted, condensation cool against your hand. For the first few minutes, you'd been nodding, offering a few hums and quick "wows" to keep Izuku going, but at this point, your brain was mush.
You love Izuku, there's no doubt in your mind about it, but sometimes after none stop lectures and rigorous training, you just want a bit of peace. You'd think he'd be the same. You sneak a glance at the boy again and he smiles impossibly brighter at you (much to your dismay).
Despite your short-lived responses, Izuku wasn't slowing down. No, infact, he was ramping up, spiraling into a second analysis of yet another fight as the news anchor praises the number two hero, Hawks, this time.
Izuku waves the TV remote animatedly in the air using it as a makeshift pointer as he rambles on.
"Midoriya," you said, your tone calm but firm. He didn't hear you or maybe he did but assumed it wasn't important enough to stop just yet. "And if you think about how his quirk output works in tune with Hawks', it just makes—"
"Izuku." This time, louder with a bit more demand.
He glances your way for a split second, green eyes wide with remorse and a faint red tinting his freckled cheeks, but his train of thought was unstoppable, barreling ahead without a second to spare.
"—you can see how they predicted each other's moves! It's just incredible how—"
That was it. You didn't think; you acted. With one smooth motion, you stood up and grabbed the front of his shirt yanking him down to you. His big green eyes went impossibly wider, his words freezing mid-sentence as your lips pressed firmly against his.
The world seemed to stop. The remote to the TV slipped from his hands, clattering to the floor with a loud thud, but neither of you noticed. To absorbed in the way his lips molded perfectly to yours. How his hands trembled before cautiously resting them on your waist. His breath hitched against your mouth, and for once, Izuku Midoriya was left utterly and completely speechless.
You pulled back slightly, lips brushing his as you smile,
"There. Much better."
Izuku's face was on fire, his freckles practically glowing against the deep red flush spreading across his cheeks and the tips of his ears. He looks around first, wondering if there were any other witnesses. When none of your classmates meets his eyes, he loudly coughs hiding his face behind his hands.
You smirked, leaning back into the couch as if nothing had happened. "Finally some peace," you sigh.
He stood there, stunned, mouth gapping open and close like a fish out of water. After a beat of silence, finally, he manages to stammer, "was I talking that much?"
"You were," you teased, taking a sip of your water. "But don't worry. Now I gotta foolproof plan for whenever you start up again."
He blinked, still rooted to the spot you left him, his fingers brushing over his lips as if trying to process what had just happened. Then suddenly, the dots start connecting.
"You can't just kiss someone to make them stop talking!"
"I didn't just kiss someone. I kissed you." You raised a brow, smiling at the way Izuku stammers. "And I felt you kiss me back, so are you really gonna act like you didn't like it?"
Izuku sputtered as he tried to form a coherent response. His face still glowing a deep red as he waved his hands animatedly in the air. He needed to say something, anything. You had just kissed him for god's sake, the one person he's had feelings for since his first year. Oh god, he might just throw up. Meanwhile, you leaned back with a satisfied grin, a small laugh leaving you as you watched him you short circuit, already looking forward to the next time he talked too much.

• Will wake you up to bounce ideas off of you. Doesn’t even care if you give him feedback - he just wants to yap about his thought process.
• doesn’t cook often but is surprisingly good at it. That is… when he’s not too lost in thought… good thing he keeps a fire extinguisher in the kitchen…
• he doesn’t sleep very often, but once the sleep deprivation starts getting to him, he can get a bit clingy. He needs convincing to slow down and get some rest, but cuddles are a good method.
• likes to closely observe you, taking in all your details. He knows every intricacy of your being. He always notices instantly if anything has changed.
• likes to play games of luck with you, since strategy games against him are pretty much useless and he knows this.
• a sore loser. Pretends to pout to make you feel sorry for him. He’s childish and he knows it. Then again, the pouting usually ends up in him getting a forehead kiss, so… maybe he’s onto something…
• Again, will wake you up at stupid hours of the night just to have your company. somehow he finds his way into your room even when you lock the door… but of course, he’d stop if you asked him to.
• can occasionally be found in a dark room with headphones on blaring the loudest most chaotic noise possible. Also likes 2000s scene pop.
• if not the chaos music, he is also fond of ocean sounds… that is, until he gets so absorbed in it that he feels like he’s drowning and freaks himself out…
• likes puzzle games like sudoku or crosswords. He frequently sends you his latest records and challenges you to beat his scores
• goes through your spam emails and cleans it out for you.
• yes, he will buy you pads/tampons if needed. He doesn’t see what the fuss about it is.
• seems a bit distant, but you better believe he gets secretly anxious about you. When you’re out late, when you’re sick, when he doesn’t know where you are, if youve been sleeping or eating properly… it’s not that he’s a control freak, he’s just overly concerned for your well-being.
• is either calm and collected or acting as if somebody is dying. There is no in between.
• too much caffeine knocks him out.
• Enjoys flustering you on purpose, finding it cute when you get slightly embarrassed. Only about trivial things, though.
• is a good listener. He adores hearing you talk, and all the things you could possibly say. Be ready, though, sometimes he asks a lot of questions.
• the type of guy to actually stop tickling you when you say stop.
• watches tv with you but ALWAYS falls asleep halfway through. He’s basically never made it through a movie without falling asleep. Though, it’s usually only for a few minutes. He pretends he didn’t.
• his ears get red when hes embarrassed.
• is always hungry. Will 100% be a snack buddy at any time you want, just say the word.
• doesn’t understand insecurities you have and actually is surprisingly uplifting when you’re upset.
• he likes to buy you stuff to spoil you.
• gets irritated when you spend your money on useless stuff. “You coulda just asked me, Yknow…” // doesn’t pay you back when you go off by yourself.
• holds things over your head in a teasing sort of way.
• laughs around you
• enjoys resting his head in your lap.
• he once claimed to be allergic to dogs just to avoid going to your friends house with you. Lies.
• Shares his sweets with you, but he gets another dish for you, not really liking to share the same dishes/utensils.
• if you meet eyes from opposite sides of the room, he will wink at you. Every time. It’s a bit funny. Sometimes he ends up making himself laugh doing this.
• sometimes when he thinks no one is watching, he will be muttering to himself until he makes himself laugh.
• can’t stand getting a stomachache. He is such a baby deep down. In fact, nobody knew this about him until there was you.
• plays minecraft with you. Sucks at survival mode for some reason. Immediately built a castle out of pink wool after discovering pink sheep exist.
• is very grateful that you put up with his quirks. He knows he can be hard to deal with. He apologizes a lot.
• Goes on park dates with you. Mostly enjoys messing with the ducks. Does not enjoy getting chased by the geese.
• hides behind you when he sees a bee.
• his hands are very soft and gentle. He has the softest most careful touch of anyone you’ve ever known.
• uses a disproportionate amount of emojis. He only uses them when messaging you, though.
• play fights you when things get too quiet.
• Unexpectedly very emotionally available.
• doesn’t really like pet names, but sometimes calls you buttercup.

You're all forgetting that Kageyama can analyze a court from experience. He knows how to help his spikers because he stays behind for hours to practice extra with them. He knows so many plays because he has asked his teachers to take him through them so many times. He knows others' strategies because he studies them, reads about them, spends his whole time picking them apart. Kageyama isn't just an intuitive genius who had everything handed to him on a silver platter, Kageyama has drive and passion and he's a HARD WORKER, goddamnit, why isn't anyone saying it?

Dear Diary,
At the moment, Hirotsu @fallingcamelliapetals is not at home, and unfortunately, I have far too much time to think. I've also regrettably turned to the bottle again and am becoming sentimental... how I hate that...
Damn it... everything I've been pushing down is rising up like poison.
Natsume is to blame for everything. He thought it would be a good idea to introduce us. I still remember our first encounter very well. You were so cold... just like always... For some reason, I tried to elicit some emotion from you, but I always failed. And although I generally don't allow myself to feel, I realized after a while that I had been lying to myself. Yes, I had started to develop feelings for you. But by the time I realized that, it was already too late, and you were well on your way to opening your detective agency, while my role as the leader of the Mafia was already sealed.
I really tried to hate you, but in the end, I could never quite succeed, and how I hate seeing you happy, even though I've always wanted nothing but the best for you. But I suppose it was always the realization that I would never be able to have you. Unreachable...
And now I sit here. I finally have the love of my life, and yet... fear of loss is once again consuming me. Allowing myself to feel always makes me insane. As beautiful as it is to close my eyes and slowly be drawn from the grips of love into the sea of emotions, the fear of losing it all is just as terrible... to slowly and surely perish like a fish out of water. Especially after I've learned and discovered things about myself that I didn't even know before... wants and needs I was previously unaware of.
One would think I’m a grown, old man... but in the end, I’m just a love-starved boy, full of fears of being alone...
