had a guy ask me out recently.
hes like 24 and has known me since i was 17.
he literally asked how old i was when we met and when i told him i was 17 he was like "man, dating is hard these days"
i was at a convention that he was at like an hour before he asked me out (it was via text) and when my dad came to pick me up, this guy walked up to the car and introduced himself to my father.
i rejected this guy asap with ZERO hesitation
i reminded him that i am aroace and he KNOWS that
i wish i couldve said "no im taken" but i cant because he would know i wouldn't be talking about a real person. and he already judges me for being attracted to fictional characters, so i cant reveal that im a self shipper.
at the aforementioned convention, i hugged a friend we have in common. and this guy pulled the "aw wheres my hug" shit.
our friends blame his boundary issues on him being neurodivergent, but thats not an excuse for this level of shit. especially when the main person hes being weird to is ALSO neurodivergent.
he continuously pushes boundaries even after hes told to stop.
even after i told him "no, im aroace" he STILL tried pushing and was like "i dont need anything romantic, i just want a partner"
