Welcome to Cloudcat Finds Out Which Sentient Calculator Is The Dumbest! Or, stupid sentient supercomputers for short.
Inspired by @waybacks-swag-awards and @battleofthewawas, this tournament will be featuring Rain World iterator OCs!
...But there's a catch.
This is a tournament on stupidity. You will be voting for the least intelligent character!
So, if you want to see your iterator get thoroughly roasted by Rain World tumblr, or perhaps saved from such humiliation at the cost of losing, jump right in!
Rules under the cut.
1. DO NOT SUBMIT OTHER PEOPLE'S OCs. This should be obvious.
2. OCs ONLY! No alternate versions of canon characters, no canon characters in any way, this is ONLY for OCs!
3. This is a RAIN WORLD tournament! If your OC is not an iterator from Rain World, then do not submit them.
4. Do not submit your characters multiple times. This will NOT affect your chances of getting in, it will only annoy me. ALL CHARACTERS SUBMITTED WILL BE FEATURED IN THE BRACKET within the criteria.
5. If you feel one of my own OCs belongs in this bracket, feel free to submit them, but remember rule #1. My characters are the only exception to this rule as I will not put them in the bracket by default.
6. Make sure your characters actually have something that makes them stupid! If you just put something like "there's not much that makes [blank] stupid", then I will not include them.
7. Remember that this is a FRIENDLY tournament. Do not harass or attempt to put down other creators, please! This is purely for fun.
The form to submit your OCs will be released today at 2 pm AEST (In 3 1/2 hours)

looking at moon's situation, I think it's possible. at least to an extent.
with her umbilical cable being completely severed, her having been mostly reduced to her puppet, etc.
the issue with the whole freedom thing is that the puppet needs at least some connection to the can to survive. if moon's can were dead, or her puppet entirely disconnected, she wouldn't be there.
but she is alive, despite the severed cable.
so I think the explanation and solution here is the weak wireless connection she seems to have with, yk, the rest of herself. so, hypothetically, a freed puppet would be able to roam however far that connection reaches (as long as power isn't an issue, and they're taking a few neurons along with them).
well, that's if they're happy with either crawling around like some sort of feral creature, or tediously learning to walk on feet that weren't made for it, and can accept that they may be unable to directly communicate with their can ever again unless they're able to reattach themselves.
I don't think the arm would be much of an issue. with the functions it seems to have, they could just as well be performed by something else.
and that's that. but there might be a completely different way, that technically doesn't even involve getting out. some advanced drone shenanigans, perhaps.

how do you think an iterator would Actually be able to Go Off The String. because as fun as it is to imagine them just prying off the umbilical learning to walk and wandering away, i don't think the puppet would be able to survive without the umbilical (power source and whatnot)
so How Would It Be Achieved

this damned glorious concept has been bouncing in my head like a screensaver for a little while now.

hello everyone! my name is Levii, but you can call me Sterling or Leaf. im a young artist who mostly draws for fun and to get my silly little characters and ideas out there, though i do want to take a few commissions every now and then. i figured i'd start posting to Tumblr to continue my art journey. i will hyperfixate on alot of different medias, usually games or my own worldbuilding projects, and right now im OBSESSED with Rain World, so you may find alot of that from me starting off. i have a couple of Rain World ocs, those being Ranger, a slugcat, and Always on Time, an iterator. i will post other oc content as i start hyperfixating over them again. i hope whoever finds this that likes what im posting here decides to stick along for the journey ^^
