Me right now with Greys Anatomy...

the state i was found in after saying "one more episode"

So I’m rewatching Greys Anatomy and I still hate Derek, but after watching Sanctuary for the hundredth time I realized why Derek is so calm. It may partially be because he is in shock but I think it is because April is behind him. When he saw her standing there, he turned back around to place himself between her and the gun. Because they could be considered friends. They know eachother, the surgery department in this hospital isn’t small but it also isn’t huge and as a resident she would have spent time with him occasionally. And she also worked as his assistant for a little while.

Please note that this is the closest I’ve ever come to liking him.

izzie stevens is criminally underrated. where are the fanfics??? even better, wlw fanfics???

- the bathroom scene was iconic and lowk a power move (wash your hands people and izzie was just fucking judgemental)

- Her friendship with Addison is so underrated

- I love her guys

7. Preston Burke

- HES SO FINEEEEE

- he's only so low bc he left Cristina at the alter

- he loved her enough to leave her and omf GUYS I CANT I LOVE BURKINA

- the way he kissed her in the on call room LIVES RENT FREE IN MY MIND

8. Season 1,2 and partly 3 Izzie Stevens

- Her storyline with her daughter broke my heart and I wish it wasn't George who was there for her I wish it was Miranda.

- they ruined her character with the homewrecker storyline and now she irritates me

- haven't seen enough of her to really rank her so she's last

10. fucking O'malley

- the only time I've actually HATED a characters development

- went from a genuine sweet guy to a "nice guy"

- seriously the writers hated George's character you can't tell me otherwise bc WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT.

-loved his episode with Miranda tho he was what she needed while in labour.

- when he got on the bed behind her to help her omf guys HE WAS SO ATTRACTIVE THEN

- then he got the finance playboy haircut and turned into a dick and I've lost all attraction

Meredith isn't included bc I love her character so much I'd need a whole post dedicated to her. Genuinely she's the best representation I've seen of someone struggling with mental health and I relate to her, so I cannot rank her.

I'll forever be upset that the writers took away the cool older sister and dorky younger brother duo that was izzie and George I'm forever grateful we got Alex and Meredith bc they were the brother sister duo we needed

So I've been watching greys anatomy and something I love so dearly is how Alex and sometimes Sloan treated Meredith.

I know Alex is a complete asshole for the majority of seasons 1 and 2 however he always made sure to be there for Meredith. When Meredith slept with George and everyone else got mad at her for some unknown fucking reason Alex was the one who stood up and said hey get the fuck over yourself stop wandering around like a hurt puppy so she doesn't like you get over it. It happens sometimes. I don't understand why George got so fucking butthurt that she started crying during sex. Yes, rejection sucks ass but unfortunately this isn't some fantasy world where you'll hear yes to you ask of someone. I was so shocked Cristina didn't stand up for Meredith and you know I think Addison would have stood up for her because anyone can change their yes to a no at any point during sex. But George didn't get that and oh my God he was such a good character up until that point. I really enjoyed his arc with Bailey he was the best person for that specific time but jeez they ruined his character and turned someone genuinely sweet into a "nice guy"

ANYWAYS ONTO SLOAN.

Why I kind of like Sloan (except for him referring to her as an intern emotionally in season 4 ) Is the specific instance of the bone graft thing on Ava. Meredith had just lost her mother and almost died and came back. Everyone treated her as something fragile who could not be a hard-core surgeon. Yes I do think part of him wanted to win points with Webber for Chief of Surgery. But also, Mark Sloan was never going to get Chief of Surgery. I really like that he gave her something to show everyone that yes she's been through some tough shit lately, but she is still a more than capable surgeon.
