“Put your heart, mind, and soul into even your smallest acts. This is the secret of success.”

One of the most complex aspects in connection is knowing how to navigate problems and projections that are imposed upon us, especially when they do not stem from our own actions.

A golden-eyed figure wears a wide-brimmed white fedora with a wide gold hat band and a light golden scarf just below the nose and across the mouth and chin. They sport a white Inverness Cape with its collar turned up over a white double-breasted suit. It’s hard to see them clearly in the bright light. Text reads, “126, The Light, The Small God who knows what goodness lives in the hearts of men.”

C’mere, kid.  I want to tell you a secret.

Whoa, whoa, not like that!  This isn’t one of those “strange man tells you something that you’re not supposed to share with your parents” situations.  I want you to share this with your parents.  I want you to share this with the whole world.  You wanna be my prophet, you go right ahead.  It’s not like most folks are gonna listen, but every so often, one of you people decides to try, and I’m always grateful, even if I don’t think there’s any point to it.

Okay.  You with me?  You listening?  You cleaned your ears out recently?  Because if you’re gonna be my prophet, I don’t want you to go around telling people I said something I didn’t.  That’s happened to so many of my friends.  They lay out one message, and folks pick it up and turn it into something terrible, into some sort of cudgel to beat people with.  And that’s not what I’m about.

Okay.  You’re good?  Then here you go.  This is the secret, this is the essential thing I wish you over-important primates would hammer through your heads, this is what matters:

People are essentially good, and essentially the same, everywhere you go.  Optimism isn’t shallow, and being a happy person doesn’t make you a fool.  You’re allowed to irrigate and plant flowers in your heart.  That won’t make you weak.  It won’t make you irresponsible, or petty.  Be joyous.  Find your light and nurture it, and once it’s strong and healthy enough to light up your room, open the windows and share it with the people around you.

There’s a lot of shadow in a lot of folks.  A little light can help to beat it back, and can bring us a better world.  All of us, not just the divine, and not just the damned.

Do your part, prophet or no.  Nurture and protect your joy.

On behalf of all the pagan peoples of the world let’s share Easter with the transgender people and Trans Day of Visibility. Easter is about rebirth and renewal of nature, and celebrating the joy of the longer days ahead. Sounds like Trans joy.

“When you are washing the dishes, washing the dishes must be the most important thing in your life. Just as when you are drinking tea, drinking tea must be the most important thing in your life. Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the whole world revolves—slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future. Live the actual moment. Only this actual moment is life.”

A piece I've been working on for a few weeks - finally done. An amalgam of some thoughts and images I deal with thru my depression and other issues relating to recovery. Though high functioning at times, it can also be debilitating for long stretches. First, Everything In Life Happens For A Reason.
Life Is Not Trivial, We Make Our Lives Trivial.
There’s

First, everything in life happens for a reason.
Life is not trivial, we make our lives trivial.
There’s a purpose for everything, even every drop of rain has a purpose and a destination.
So when we become more observant, not just seeing and hearing what’s happening around us, but reflecting and listening to what’s happening around us, we can understand the wisdom in happenings.
Example of the first part of the question:
That person/s who crosses our path may be a lesson we need to learn, may need to give in charity, may need to see, hear, etc. something about their actions or lack of actions, there are so many reasons why people cross our paths and we cross theirs. We are examples for each other even when we are not trying to be or even realize others are watching.
For the second part of the question, is almost the same response. But sometimes bad things or what appears to be bad are a test and trial. And it’s how we deal with the bad when it comes that define us and either build character or destroy it.
And lastly, one may just need a hug, but in The God’s Sight, “hugs” come in many forms. And it depends on which part of our body needs the hug/s.
The heart, the mind, the eyes, the ears, or just a regular old bear hug.
Example, I can be feeling down and my pets will do something that makes make heart smile. I mean the stupidest things, but at the right moments.
And the mind might need a hug, that bad thing that crosses our path can hug our mind, cause it might be a lesson we need to learn, we could have just had an argument with a loved one, a foolish spat, but it didn’t seem foolish until we saw another couple arguing over something foolish and we think to ourselves how foolish it is, but then The God makes us remember the argument we had earlier and what it was about and we see just how foolish it was. And we rush to apologize.
Everything happens for a reason, but we get so caught up in the fast paced lifestyles we've created, that very few of us notice the wisdoms in what’s happening around us.

A Zen Master said: "Before practicing Zen, rivers were rivers and mountains were mountains. When I practiced Zen, I saw that rivers were no longer rivers and mountains no longer mountains. Now I see that rivers are again rivers and mountains are again mountains."
