A-Yuan/ Lan Shizui fluff ! (Child!A-Yuan inherited a few habits from his dad WWX)
During A-Yuan’s first years in Cloud Recesses, anyone with eyes could point out the many similarities between the child’s behaviour and a certain patriarch. He would sometimes scratch his little nose with a mischievous giggle, or tilt his head to the side when deep in thought. They were small habits that died as time passed. But they brightened LWJ’s days a bit and made LXC break in cold sweat, especially during meetings with the elders.

Could it be that the only reason wwx invented the summoning ritual was to bring JYL back to life ? We all know how much of a self-sacrificing idiot he is. Where else would he get the idea of this particular ritual ?
So actually, wwx may have invented the summoning ritual while delirious and grieving, right after the Nightless City massacre and his shijie’s death. His own soul wasn’t worth much anyway. (Yet the sects got to him before he could go through with it .)
Overprotective boyfriend AU (with some angst)
... where WWX arrives just a little too late to Koi Tower. He isn’t here to save LWJ from taking the shot. LWJ ends up giving in and drinking the liquor to avoid a diplomatic incident (his fingers shake a bit but he empties the glass). When WWX does arrive, he finds a bunch of cultivators snickering, gathered around astaggering LWJ. They laugh sneakily behind their sleeves at his slurred speach and clumsy movements. LXC tries to pull him out, but the cultivators won’t let them leave. It’s not everyday that they get to see the renowed Hanguang-Jun in such a state. LWJ hates it. He feels sick and finds it hard to breath, nothing like the carefree giddiness he would feel later while drinking with WWX.
WWX barges in, grabs one especially invasive cultivator by the collar and proceeds to punch him multiple times in the face. He then shields LWJ from the eyes of the crowd, and threatens to beat up anyone who dares try to get closer. In the end, he calms himself down enough to gently lead LWJ away.

So I found this scene reaaally interesting ! WWX teaches the ducklings juniors not to trust prejudices. I couldn’t help linking this to his own situation:
16 years have passed. The new generation (the juniors) is the first to have never known the Yilling Patriarch. They never had the chance to build their own opinion about him and can only trust what they were taught by the elders.
So WWX incites them to check things themselves intead of relying on hearsay and first impressions.
They are WWX’s only chance to finally be understood. :’( The juniors were taught to fear and resent him. In return, he teaches them to confront their fears and to understand them !

Jiang Cheng going to burial mounds after wwx's death to get rid of the last traces of wwx's very existence. The last thing he expects is the gorgeous sight of a full pond of blooming lotuses. The flowers are but a flagrant evidence of the love, care and patience wwx showed to the very end, of the hope that animated him. JC collapses and cries until he passes out from the exhaustion. He falls asleep to the smell of lotuses and home

Wei Wuxian unknowingly left a headache behind for the Jins
I vaguely recall reading something about how the Greek’s made concrete(?) being unknown for so long. This real durable concrete and no one could make it.
Oh they had the recipe. They did have that! But it didn’t work.
Until someone used ocean water. They did not say it was ocean water because back then it was so obvious what you used, no one bothered noting it down.
I say this because I want everyone to consider this in regards to Wei Wuxian and the notes he left behind. Not only are they a chaotic mess – because he goes off on tangents about farming, Wen Qing being mean, A-Yuan being adorable, suddenly it’s all about Lan Wangji again wtf, and then there is the various doodles of both amazing art and insulting caricatures – Wei Wuxian only is writing for himself. He’s not making a cultivation manual, he’s making notes for himself, notes on his experiments, notes that tie into what he knows already. He’s personally improving his cultivation, not building a means to teach others.
So just imagine Xue Yang cursing as he tries to figure out why the ghost whistles – meant to either drive away or beckon ghosts, an improvement on the spirit-lure flags and meant specifically to help keep the Burial Mounds safe for the Wen Remnants – don’t work. He follows exactly what Wei Wuxian put down, makes them out of bamboo he carves himself and paints with the right characters in blood, and they still don’t work. Because to Wei Wuxian, living in the Burial Mounds it’s very obvious that he uses the bamboo that grows in the resentful energy rich Burial Mounds.
Or Jin Guangyao, trying to figure out how he made the Ghost General for the thousandth time and getting nowhere because no where does it specifically mention that part of it involved how Lan Wangji was there playing his guqin with spiritual energy and how that interacted in a fascinating fashion with the resentful energy to pull back Wen Ning’s mind after a lot of previous rituals and experiments. The closest it gets to noting that is the five page gush over Lan Wangji’s visit and the meal he shared with him alongside A-Yuan.
Mo Xuanyu keeps his position in Jin Sect in part because he can actually figure out a good chunk of Wei Wuxian’s notes and organize them into mostly useful forms. But even he sometimes struggles to figure out something left behind. Like the blood lock spell – that protects something from anyone who does not share your blood, something even more useful to Wei Wuxian as he’s an only child with no known living relatives – he tries multiple times, never getting it to work, and fails to realize the reason there is a doodle of the moon nearby is because it is the phase of the moon necessary for the ritual to work.
Just. Wei Wuxian, writing down personal experimentation notes, unknowingly driving the Jin Sect insane. And then when he returns he fails to understand what is the problem until Lan Wangji talks him through it and suddenly so much makes more sense.

Так бы следовало поступить монстру. Да только нет ничего страннее, чем человек который не боится огромного паука с человеческим торсом и лицом. Больной человек его не пугается. И это вызывает интерес монстра.
Люди по природе слабые и беспомощные. Даже ребенка монстра слабому человеку не убить. Монстр был уверен в этом. А потому, под угрозой съесть человека заживо, он оставляет дитя с незнакомцем.
А возвращаясь с охоты, его встречает человек и его ребенок.
Ребенок монстра увлечённо грыз руку человека. А человек стоял. И ничем не показал ни боли, ни страха. И такой странный человек пугал даже монстра.
Монстр знал магию. Умел колдовать и варить зелья. Своё дитя он забрал у человека. А человеку дал зелье, что бы излечить его.
И странным образом человек попавший в дом монстров стал няней для ребенка монстра. И незаметно стал частью семьи монстров

In the mirror reality or prarallel world live monsters. You could say, behind the walls of people's houses. And to get to them is not so difficult. But you can't get away from them.
The guy was framed, wanted to kill, blow up the house. But by some miracle, the explosion just throws him into a parallel world. A house of monsters.
The house is quiet, but there's only one monster in it. And his little child. The monster can't leave the house, his child could be killed while he searches for food. Man will become his food.
That's what a monster should do. But there's nothing weirder than a man who isn't afraid of a giant spider with a human torso and face. A sick man isn't scared of it. And that piques the monster's interest.
Humans are by nature weak and helpless. Even the monster's child can't be killed by a weak human. The monster was sure of that. And so, at the risk of eating the man alive, he leaves the child with a stranger.
And on his return from hunting, he is met by a man and his child.
The monster child was enthusiastically gnawing on the man's hand. And the man stood. And showed neither pain nor fear. And such a strange man frightened even the monster.
The monster knew magic. He knew how to conjure and brew potions. He took his child from the man. He gave the man a potion to cure him.
And in a strange way, the man who came to the monster house became a nanny for the monster's child. And he became a part of the monster family

Weird how people say Nie MingJue bullied Jin GuangYao when their late-game interactions were basically just Jin GuangYao being all, “I know Koi Tower said we would execute the mass murderer Xue Yang so that he can’t kill more innocent people, but keeping him alive in jail so my dad and I can continue to use his specialized skill sets in murder and demonic cultivation is totally the same thing as executing him, Da-Ge.”
And Nie MingJue’s response to that was a passionate, “NO, no it is NOT.”
Like Jin GuangYao wasn’t some hapless victim during these exchanges?? (And actually the victim between them has always been Nie MingJue so jot that down.) He willingly swore brotherhood with Nie MingJue too, knowing what Nie MingJue was like with Nie HuaiSang, knowing Nie MingJue was going to bear down on him with all that same Big-Brother-might to make Jin GuangYao get his act together.
“Where is your saber, HuaiSang?”
“Where are your braincells, Jin GuangYao??”
Calling it bullying just underlines the fact that Jin GuangYao only intended to use his new found family for personal gain and it was never out of any emotional care or support. His Sworn Brothers truly become nothing more than stepping stones. If Jin GuangYao was ever actually honest about what was happening to and around him at Koi Tower, it might have looked less like a one-sided argument with Nie MingJue and more like actual conversation. Even Lan XiChen’s support of Jin GuangYao was based on one-sided sympathetic presumptions rather than Jin GuangYao actually talking to him. Nie MingJue was demanding answers for all the BS and Jin GuangYao hemmed and hawed and acted spineless, which only made Nie MingJue angry because Nie MingJue knew Jin GuangYao was a capable and intelligent person who can get shit done.
If it was bullying, Nie MingJue wouldn’t have had to tell Jin GuangYao never to approach him again. If it was bullying, Jin GuangYao wouldn’t have needed to go to the Unclean Realm with a peace offering. If it was bullying, Nie MingJue wouldn’t have had to give Jin GuangYao a third chance at forgiveness when Jin GuangYao promised to have Xue Yang’s head in two months.
Because in the end, Jin GuangYao stopped trying to pretend to be pitiful and spineless in front of Nie MingJue because Nie MingJue knew him better than that. So Jin GuangYao had to own up to being capable and intelligent and admit, “I do, in fact, have braincells. You are absolutely right, Da-Ge, and I brought them this time.”
Except Jin GuangYao lied, he left his braincells at home, because once again he only brought the Collection of Turmoil which he used to kill Nie MingJue because Nie MingJue was always the victim of Jin GuangYao’s abuse and it was never the other way around!
Favorite character introductions: Nie Mingjue, Nie-zongzhu, titled Chifeng-Zun.
