I have never related to a post more than now :[

Like I NEED my wings back, I use them for EVERYTHING in my MPHFPC DR

like I would wrap myself up in them when I was cold in the morning, I would carry my friends and take flights at night, just the feeling of my feathers ground me, but without them I feel so trapped

don’t even get me started on the feeling of freedom; being able to fly and feel the wind whip against my face

in my CR I can barely walk in a straight line without tripping(I have a condition where my left leg turns inward when I walk, so I stumble a lot and have to wear specific foot wear to walk straight), my wings made me balanced and I feel so confident with them, yet here I feel foreign and bare

It’s like a phantom limb to me, I instinctively reach for my wings to mindlessly stroke my feathers, or when I’m cold while waiting for the bus all I want is to wrap up in them

ugh I miss it so much :[ I’m so happy I can shift 😭🫶

It's like I can physically feel my wings and horns even tho they aren't here in this reality. It hurts so bad, I can't wait to get there. I niw understand Maleficent's pain when she lost her wings, but with me it's that I can't get them even tho I'm trying so hard :"(

This looks so much like a loop I have been to, I believe it was Miss Storks from the 1900's

She had taken in peculiar children with disabilities and peculiars that aged forward and could not take care of themselves, she is a lovely woman

Honestly, it is one of the sweetest loops I have gone to, I was sent by Miss Peregrine to escort a young girl to join the loop, I believe her name was Abigail, I don't remember her peculiarity exactly but I do remember it being very self-destructive, she was always in a hazmat suit

(This will be pretty short explanation cuz I’m currently at the hospital rn so I can’t write much, but I can post more about it later!)

So unfortunately I have not fully shifted there yet, but I have had times where I was partly there physically that I wasn’t aware of! I haven’t tried shifting in general in a while because of mental health reasons but I’m hoping to get back in the loop of it soon (catch the reference 😉)

I have shifted to other places though!

One of the first times I tried shifting (wayyyy back when) I accidentally shifted to attack on titan. It was terrifying. GOSH IT WAS AWFUL

I was there for like 2 seconds but it was utter chaos, I won’t even explain how bad because it would probably be too graphic

I also shifted to my apocalypse DR (it takes after the apocalypse is over and it’s really beautiful because natural took over everything, very lovely and non dangerous version) it was very relaxing being there, I didn’t stay long as I felt kinda weird being completely alone so I decided I would shift back here and write in some friends (this was before I realized I could just do that automatically lol)

Describing the universes as how they are or felt is very difficult, the best way I can is that it is all real, and it’s experiencing this reality in a different lens (obviously it isn’t this reality but that’s just how I describe it)

So! Miss Peregrine is my mother in my DR (non-biological), so her personality might differ from your DR as she is your s/o, which by the way, treat her well and give her my love!!

I'm just gonna list stuff out like her hobbies, habits, favorites/least favorites, etc

Her favorite snacks are raspberries, blackberries, and cherries. She LOVES to eat them with herbal tea and biscuits

Her favorite place on the island (that isn't home) would be the sea

She is incredibly good at calligraphy (best believe she will write sonnets in the most delicate style possible)

When she gets upset, her nose involuntarily twitches and scrunches, when she's in bird form she'll scratch her beak with her talons

She does a lot of reading (specifically Shakespeare, Edgar Allen Poe, and Mary Shelley)

She wants to teach us as much as possible to help us if we go to the outside world (contrary to the movie, she feels as though understanding the current time zone is extremely important in case we must leave the loop, so she asks Jacob a LOT of questions to study and be able to prepare the children)

She does have a wine cellar below the house (mainly cherry wine), she doesn't like to drink unless at dinner or when we have guests

She has a firm belief in education of all aspects, so we not only learn book-smarts, but also street smarts (we were all taught extreme self-defense and even had martial arts training) (my personal favorite was learning how to swim in rough waters fully clothed, it was extremely difficult and honestly thought I was going to die but hey, now we are exceptionally prepared)

She loves romance, but specifically forbidden romance or gothic romance (it's her hidden pleasure since she feels she cannot be in a relationship because of her Ymbryne duties (SPOILER ALERT she falls in love with Ms.Cuckoo in my DR and it doesn't affect her role))

She has like 125 candles and a BOAT LOAD of incense, she LOVES the comfort and vibes they bring to the house (her favorites always have cinnamon, oak, charcoal, rosemary, frankincense, and cherry)

She is always cold, like her skin feels warm to the touch but she is always cold nonetheless, so she loves to bundle up and wear in layers

Obviously she has amazing style, like seriously she is always best dressed in every room (besides Horace and myself lmao)

She taught me how to sew, embroider, crotchet, knit, basically everything that involves creation, so now I alter and fix clothes for everyone in the house (including Horace)

She has a lot of recurring nightmares, especially after Vic died, it's one of the reasons she doesn't sleep often

She picks at her skin and nails a lot, mainly when stressed but sometimes when she is zoning out

That's all that could come to mind at the moment! I love her so much, I really miss my mom :(

what if..what if I made a Narnia DR where I originated from Narnia and when the Pevensies leave Narnia, I accidentally get sucked in with them and get stuck in England and have to adjust and hide my powers as I try to find any form of closure or resemblence with my previous home??? Like this DR would be pure angst wtf is wrong with me😭

I started reading the Chronicles of Narnia because I have been procrastinating on that for YEARS and I love the movies and it has a dear place in my heart but like AAAAA

I randomly had the idea of ymbrynes with their bird feathers in their hair (Miss Peregrine would have peregrine falcon feathers in her hair, Miss Crow would have crow feathers in her hair, etc) and thought I'd share since you're a ymbryne in your dr. thoughts? :)

OH MY BIRDS YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!!!

We normally use our feathers as quills actually! So a lot of studying ymbrynes will keep a feather tucked in her hair or behind her ear for safe keeping, you never know when you’ll suddenly need to sign important documents or need to poke a distracting student ;)

For myself, it’s a little different

as a Phoenix ymbryne, the feathers that fall off of me while in bird form will turn to ash when I come back to my (full) human form! It doesn’t count if I have my wings out still, which I can retract as a human, but once any bird features are gone, so are the feathers, they kinda just poof into dust!

I MISS MY KIDS WTF (not my actual kids but like I basically adopted Claire and Olive frfr, they aren’t just like little sisters they are my children 😔😭)

I saw the sweetest edit of Claire and I’m dying, I forgot how sweet she kind and head strong she is and how much I miss her hugs and the way she would run into my arms

I miss my dear Olive and her toothy grin and her never ending optimism, I miss how she would grab my hand and drag me around the house or playing hide and seek

I miss my DR family so much, like I need them more than ever right now (I almost went to the hospital today and all I could think of was Miss P stroking my hair while humming and Bronwyn holding me in a bear hug and Horace brewing me some tea and frickin Enoch telling me facts about cars bc he doesn’t know how to help and Fiona bringing me flowers with Hugh and Millard reading me Shakespearean sonnets and Emma heating blankets for me and Olive and Claire bringing their plushies for me to cuddle with, like the level of comfort they provide and love they bring makes me cry, they are truly my chosen family)

OC Loop Introduction: Part 1

^This is our house! It is based off of the Highwic in Auckland, New Zealand

I’ll be introducing the grounds of the loop in this post, so a lot of photos and some historical information! Next part will be the peculiar who live there

(Please keep in mind that this is one of my DR’s, it is very personal and the peculiars who live there are real people from my CR, so I will be using fake names for them for privacy purposes. Also this is very information based, all of this is basically my script lol)

Hidden in a forest near Lake Wakatipu

The Highwic mansion was built by a wealthy European settler family in the late 1800s, abandoned after a tragedy, and later repurposed as the Ymbrynes’ home

the mansion is surrounded by thick forests

Grounds:

Surrounded with lush gardens, a thickly settled forests, and geothermal hot springs

Underground caverns and tunnel systems beneath the mansion for hiding from Hollowgast

Rooms:

23 bedrooms total, 3 spare bedrooms for passing peculiar or new additions to the group

25 bathrooms, one to each bedroom, one in the kitchen and one in the basement

There are 3 main common rooms

There is one large kitchen

There is an inside greenhouse

Basement:

secret exit that opens into the forest for quick escapes.

hidden storage room for supplies and weaponry

Training services such as 1960’s based exercise equipment

Lookout Tower

The lookout tower, accessible via a spiral staircase, offers a panoramic view of the surrounding forest and Lake Wakatipu. It doubles as a quiet retreat or a signal station for emergencies

It’s very extravagant, the way our head Ymbryne enjoys it

Our loop was created by two ymbrynes, Miss Raven and Miss Silvereye, as an escape for runaway peculiars

They chose this location due to the thick forests being able to hide them and let them live as themselves

Environmentalism was also on the rise, with growing concern for the preservation of the nation’s unparalleled natural beauty.

Peculiar History in New Zealand Hidden beneath the idyllic surface, peculiar life in 1960s New Zealand was thriving in secrecy. The peculiar world, wary of the rising tensions of the Cold War and environmental degradation, found New Zealand’s isolation to be a refuge. Ymbrynes had long identified the country as a safe haven, establishing loops in remote forests, islands, and mountainous regions like the Southern Alps.

The peculiar history of New Zealand was intrinsically tied to its Maori heritage. Some Maori legends spoke of peculiar abilities—heroes who could command the wind, transform into birds, or commune with the spirits of their ancestors. These stories often intertwined with tales of the taniwha (mythical water guardians) and other supernatural creatures, giving peculiar children a place in the folklore of the land.

The 1968 Peculiar Community

The peculiar community faced unique challenges during this time. The Cold War paranoia extended to normals in New Zealand, and any unusual sightings of peculiar abilities risked being mistaken for Soviet espionage or experimental technology. There were wights posing as soldiers, picking through children to find peculiars, making it difficult to trust a lot of people outside of the loop.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1. 🍏

The first time I’ve ever created my own loop. The sparks I felt coming from my hands, my wings being in flames, seeing the world spin around me as I floated in the air. The wind whipping around me and then it all stopped. It paused, time paused for me. I looked around the once powerful waves of the Wales ocean, now still as a stone. And once I set my pocket watch back, everything went back to motion. The loop was inside of the already created 1940 loop in Cairnholm, and it spanned a few feet wide, it wasn’t much, but it was my first loop. The intense feelings of pride and excitement and exhilaration flowed through my veins like nothing else. That was the moment I felt how truly powerful I was

2. 🍅

I promised myself to never tell this to Emma, but once Abe left, Miss P would ask me to go outside the loop to check in on him at different points of his life. No normal ever saw me, as normals see me as a mourning Dove while peculiar folk see me in my white-phoenix form. I was there when Abe got married, when Franklin and Susan were born, I watched them grow up. I remember how disappointed Abe was that they weren’t peculiar, but he loved them greatly. I would report back to Miss P after every visit, she loved him as her own son and it made her happy to know he was safe and had his own family. it was years later that I went back to check in on Abe, as Miss P decided it was time to stop meddling and let him move on. But now, I left on my own reasons. I had gone to visit Abe give him hell about not answering Emma’s letters, because the week before I came to visit she had a full mental breakdown because of some shit Enoch said about Abe leaving her behind. She begged me to check in on him and to find any form of consolation. But when I got to Florida, it was 7-year old Jacob who answered the door. I was stunned, I could basically see the peculiarness fuming off of him. I introduced myself as a relative to Abe’s neighbor as to not cause suspicion. I ended up giving Abe hell later that day after hanging out with Jacob for a bit. when I got back to Cairnholm, I couldn’t allow myself to tell Emma about Jacob, after I told Emma about Abe getting married and having kids, she wouldn’t speak for months. Now if she knew he had a grandkid, I couldn’t let that happen again. It would be only until Jacob got to Cairnholm that she found out, and thankfully it went well.

3. 🍊

Of course I’m going to say the hidden part of the beach at Cairnholm. We’ve spend endless hours there, it is our go to place for every hang out, date, or party. We walk the beach twice every day, we go swimming, we practice our peculiarities without worrying there would be normals. It is our sanctuary, where we can be us, and not be confined in the house. We can breathe as we run through the thick forestry to get out to the cold waters.

(so I made a recent change to my MPHFPC script, as well as the rest of my scripts, that my S/O in all of my DR’s is my boyfriend in my CR)

I’m about to rant a lil bit teehee

THE WAY THIS MAN OH MY LAWD-

He is so sweet and gentle and funny and cute and silly and smart OH MY BIRDS HE IS SO SMART

He looks at me like I am the world in his palm, he kisses me like it’s the last thing he’ll ever do, he holds me so tight that all I can feel is our warmth and our hearts beating. I’ve never felt so much love and affection and mutual respect for another person. I could never choose one favorite part of him, because everything about him is perfect to me. Yet I understand his flaws, his own burdens, his angst, and I accept and love every bit of him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I need to rant.

Now, I get it, people in this reality find my DR mom hot. Like I get it, Eva Green did a FANTASTIC job in the movie, and I love her so much, but I see her as a maternal figure and only that (BECAUSE she is LITERALLY my mother in my DR)

(Btw, in my DR, Miss P looks like Eva Green but much shorter, a bit older, and has the personality of book Miss P)

So obviously my mother has obtained her own little admirer group in this reality, as well as people shifting for her, and that’s lovely! I’m glad to see people loving her, she deserves all the love in the world and I respect yall

but you can see where I’m coming from when I say how uncomfortable and awkward it is to see so many fanfics/art/scenarios about my mother. This reality is like a constant “your mom” joke to me 😭

I read and look through media a lot for motivation, and on some occasions when I’m really missing my mom I want to read some comfort stuff, yet all I can find are Alma x partners, which is great for people who want comfort from a partner perspective but not so much when you want a mother figure

I’m extremely grateful for all those talented writers who help keep our little fandom alive, I just wish there were more works with her as a mother and not just a partner

which is probably why I’m gonna start writing my own and posting them here, for other shifters who see her as a mother figure 🤗

I HAVE BEEN THINKING OF MY MPHFPC DR SO FUCKING MUCH LATELY AAAAAAAAAAA

(I’ve also been obsessing over Ricky for some reason, like idk what it is but he keeps poppin in my head)

So like here’s some memories/details I remembered that I’ve obtained over the past week!!

Noor has a favorite grey sweatshirt that Lilly bought her, it has their names embroidered in the hand cuffs

Ricky’s singing voice is VERY similar to McCafferty and the song BEACHBOY is literally him

Claire is scared of swinging but when Olive or Enoch pushes her on the swing she is okay

Olive loves to run through the halls but on the ceiling when she takes her boots off

DEVILS ACRE SMELLS SO DANK EWWWWW (but like why do I love it there so much)

Ymbrynes have a social status based on their pocket watch (a beginner ymbryne would have a small quarter sized pocket watch with little to no engravings, as they grow as an ymbryne they will advance to bigger and more ornate watches, so far Miss Avocet was known to have the “best” pocket watch. It is an honor to be gifted your first pocket watch by older ymbrynes)

Millard sleep walks, and it’s terrifying because he normally sleeps without clothes so miss P forced him after a while, we had to walk in the middle of the night cuz he got out of the house and we couldn’t see him 😭

Bronwyn has hyperhydrosis like I do in my CR, she gets a lil insecure

Jacob talks about Ricky a lot to Noor, only to Noor because he feels that if he spoke about him to anyone else they would be terrified

Fiona hates growing mushrooms but they are one of her favorite plants

Hugh found a way to get high on honey. Miss P was PISSED.

Sharon is such a drunk uncle when he’s not brooding or mysterious, very grunkle Stan vibes

Happy 11/11 everyone!!!

It's 11-11-24 today!!!

First, thank you to all veterans who have put their lives into protecting us. We love you all so dearly and thank you for your service. Without you, I am unsure of how our lives would be today.

Secondly, as today is quite literally an angel number, I will put a lot of effort into shifting today.

I woke up unable to breathe and couldn't stop coughing, so any of my plans for the day were put on hold as I rested to get back to my original self.

So now I sit here typing this while cuddled into soft blankets and plushies with some subliminals playing in the background.

I will be finishing my MPHFPC script while watching the movie and rereading some of the books, I am making a big change to my script which I am excited about so hopefully I can keep my motivation up!

I FUCKING SHIFTED, THATS WHAT HAPPENED. TWICE. IN TWO DAYS!!!!

I’m going to go into it for it’s own post, this is just because I’m at school and really need to write this fully because I don’t want to leave any detail out, it was so incredible

Also I will be posting more often, as I am going to be making playlists about people in my DR and showing you some more stuffs about them, as well as making a playlist that follows the plot line of MPHFPC entirely

Fun fact: we went on a vacation to a time loop with 3 different musicals going on at the same time (the time stamps are a little different there, so when these were made it was all before 1940)

The three musicals were:

42nd Street

Footlight Parade

The Broadway Melody

We watched them for a week straight, entirely in love, that’s when we began writing our own scripts and musicals

Musicals are time loops. Every night, the same thing happens except for a few minor differences. It always ends the same. If you want the characters to do something different or to make better choices, too bad. The actors are bound by the script and the score. The only way for the time loop to end is for the show to close. But you (the audience) don't want the show to close, nor do the actors who would like to be employed. It's a lose/lose situation. For the actors, audience, technicians, and for the characters, who are forever stuck in the same stretch of time.

Once he gave Horace a ceramic unicorn he found that washed up on the beach, Horace keeps it in his pocket as a good luck charm 🤭

"Why do churches ask for so much money when they think money is the root of evil? sounds pretty hypocritical" - Enoch

"If every day resets, how do we keep the clothes we stole during raid the village?" - Enoch "Honestly that's a good point" - Millard

"There's no possible way to stand backwards on stairs" - Enoch *a loud crash as Jacob falls from the stairs* "Mirrors don't break, they multiply" - Enoch "I swear if you keep saying these things I will multiply mirrors all over your hommunculi" - Emma

"A baby is the quietest or loudest thing to drop- just depends on who else is in the room" - Enoch "Were you dropped on the head?" - Jacob

"Why are prisoners given food, water, and shelter while homeless people aren't?" - Enoch "Uh- good point" - Miss. P

"What if oxygen is poisonous and takes 75-100 years to kill us?" - Enoch "I hope you get asthma" - Hugh

"Mosquitos are like dirty, already used needles" - Enoch "EWWWWWWW" - Claire & Olive "Nothing is truly on fire, fire is just on things" - Enoch "Enoch why don't you come over here" - Emma, pressing her hands together and generating heat

"Deaf people don't understand why farts are so funny" - Enoch *no one reacts* anyways, these are the sillies being silly. we are fed up with him, but we love him

Daily life in a Loopᡣ𐭩 •｡ꪆৎ ˚⋅

Hello! I thought I would post a day in the life of living in a loop, specifically the September 3rd 1940 loop located in Cairnholm, Wales 🤭

(yes I will be going into the nitty gritty and using time stamps)

7:30 am:

Wake up

Make beds

Get dressed

Head downstairs for breakfast

8:00 am:

(Each ward is assigned a day to cook meals, instead of having a seven day week we made weeks designated for the amount of wards we have in our loop, currently there are 11 (before Vic died, before Jacob arrived, and including myself))

This is how the week goes:

Day 1: Horace

Day 2: Eleanor 

Day 3: Fiona

Day 4: Emma

Day 5: Hugh

Day 6: Bronwyn

Day 7: Millard

Day 8: Enoch

Day 9: Claire

Day 10: Victor 

Day 11: Olive

9:30 am:

Breakfast is over, normally the older kids help with clean up

10:15 am:

We head out on our morning walk, usually stop off at the local library to pick up some books we are interested in for lessons

12:30 pm:

Classes begin, each class is around half an hour, we have the usual mathematics, literature, sciences, human history, health, home economics, and of course peculiar history, blending in with normals, fashion trends in the present world, how to escape from situations, and basic peculiar criteria

Each day the schedule for classes change, so we might have 3 “normal” classes and 3 peculiar classes, the next day we would have different classes etc etc

1:30pm ish:

We have a later lunch/snack

3:30pm ish:

We would finish with classes for the day and have the rest of our loop day to roam, do as we please, or work on homework and projects that we are assigned

6:30pm:

We have dinner, it normally lasts a while since we have a lot of discussions and we all work to clean up afterwards unlike breakfast

7:45pm:

We get ready for bed and come back downstairs to prepare for reset, we find it entertaining to watch and we look forward to it each day

8:30pm:

Loop reset is finished and we head inside to the living room where we read from The Tales, read our own stories (my favorite is Bronwyn’s series that she’s writing, it’s story about a human girl falling in love with a spirit of a witch, the title of the book is called Clairvoyant Love and it’s so cute) and perform our little acting skits for each other, it’s quite entertaining watching Horace and Millard act out Caesar’s death 🤭

9:30pm:

We head to our rooms, lights out is 11:30 so we can still hang with our loop mates or take showers or do basically whatever but we have to stay in the house

11:30pm:

Lights out and sleep for another day in the loop

We do have days where we don’t do classes and do training, we also have a theater class where we practice modern literature as well as practice acting like modern normals in case we have to leave the loop. We make small scripts and our Ymbrynes rate our performance based off of how susceptible we are to being caught as peculiars

Living the same day over and over again has its advantages and disadvantages, one being that you can master a lot of skills, while also battling insanity, thankfully we find ways to make life fun and exciting

It’s one of my favorite topics about my DR, since the mundane portion of my Dr is one of the main reasons I shift there, other than being with my found family, having ridiculously cool powers, and plenty of adventure for a life time, it’s nice to be able to have a schedule and relaxed time

I'm kind of in a slump because of school stuff and theater, I'm tired but I have the motivation to write, but I have no idea what to write about

I kinda realized I never really introduced myself, so uh, hi!

My name is Echo :D I am pansexual and genderfluid, as for pronouns, I have no preferences, just don't call me an 'attack helicopter' and we'll be chillin'

I am 16, currently in Junior year, actually really enjoying it right now!

In most of my DR's my name is Eleanor, which is why its my user! I just feel connected to both names

Some non-shifting facts about me:

I have olive-green eyes

I have been singing/playing guitar/acting for around 10 years and I danced for 8 years (still dance for theater and funsies)

I play acoustic, electric, and a little bass

I am in a band as a lead singer and guitarist, we are called "Vessels of Rebirth"!!!

I am an alto-soprano! which is very fun as I can sing very diverse styles of music (my favorites being folk, rock, and gospel)

I am a Christian and follower of God, to whom I love dearly

Although I am a Christian, I do a lot of tarot reading, and I also see and speak with the deceased as well as have prophetic dreams on occasion. I currently have 3 spirits residing in my house, they are quite nice! (Also if you guys have any suggestions on incense please let me know! I need to add to my stash)

I do a ton of art, whether it be sewing, drawing, painting, photography, or making things out of materials, you will always find me with a new project (I'm currently working on a plushie bee for my friend in my Java class!!)

Speaking of java I am loving coding, that shit is cool

At the moment, I am leading in two shows (one is a murder mystery comedy, like clue, where the audience decides who the murderer is! The second is Spamalot, and I am the female lead, Lady of the Lake!!) I am also in the ensemble of Hadestown and doing crew for Little Mermaid! So a ton of theater stuffs going on (would you believe me if I told you I have 6 different theater-based DR's?? teehee)

I do a ton of reading, I love books; it's one of my dreams to have a Hobbit-inspired book room in my future house, complete with a circle door

I have a massive collection of plushies and stuffed animals, all of which I have named and remember perfectly (I love them sm)

My favorite colors are: forest/emerald green, sunset orange, TEAL!!!, deep purples, navy blue, maroon, pastel yellow, and blue/ashy grey

I am very Portuguese, and I love Portuguese food, my favorite being Bifanas

I have two pets, a 7 year old golden retriever named Ridge and an 11 month old ragdoll cat named Dexter (short for Dexteria, yes I am a DnD nerd)

Speaking of DnD, I am currently DM'ing three campaigns, and I'm in around 10-15 other campaigns, I love DnD a lot, it's one of my favorite hobbies

Onto shifting related stuff!

I have been shifting(minishifting partially, still shifting though!!!) since I was around 8 I guess? I didn't realize that was what I was doing at the time, and around 2021 I found out about shifting through a classmate (who brought it up at the most random time possible, an ELA class lol)

The first actual DR I ever made was a My Hero Academia reality, and by birds all mighty that script was ROUGH

But I still hold it close to my heart, even though it was so cringy

I took a break from shifting for like 7 months to a year at most, I believed in it, I just felt more content in my CR, but now I am at a point where I want to explore and be fully happy and learn and grow as myself!
