Yet another one with Varian being a downer and Raps and Eugene being adorable.  Buy me a Ko-fi maybe? Link on my blog.

Went ahead and did the other two to go with the Island Dress; I thought the Nightgown would have made for a better magical girl design, but ironically I feel like the Season 3 dress ended up being way better.

I did nix a few details either because I’m not a fan of them to begin with or because I didn’t want the outfits to be too busy. I was tempted to put another sheer layer over the nightgown one, but opted to leave it as just the sleeves.

Behold, the attempt at Magical Girl-ing Punz’s island dress (and brunette hair because I never see MG Punz with short hair)

I switched around some color placements and then took the beads from her hair and added them other places. Not entirely unhappy with the result, but this one was pretty challenging in comparison to the other 2 dresses I’ll do later lmao

I have no idea what her weapon would be! A really long handled frying pan? I bet her attack is very glowy.

Apparently its Eugene appreciation week​, so good time to finish this au I’ve been thinking about forever

Au where Eugene stumbles upon the tower when they’re both a lot younger. Eugene is only a little hoodlum at this point, just starting his Flynn Rider legacy, and Rapunzel is still a child with full faith in her mothers words and no teen antsy-ness. Despite befriending Eugene, she refuses to leave the tower, so instead he visits her when Gothel is away and he brings her little gifts he thinks she’d like (that he stole because he’s an urchin)

Contexto, me uní al fandom a los ...10 o 11 ?, no me acuerdo, apenas se había estrenado como entrenar a tu dragon 2 , recientemente, decidí tirar varias cosas que ya no me sirven , como libretas , entre ellas , descubrí un escrito que hize en primaria ( lo que hacía en vez de prestar atención), donde los protagonistas eran los hijos de mis ships favoritos de este fandom (me creía heterosexual en esas épocas), revisitando algunas cosas, decidí renovar estos personajes a los cambios en las franquicias que ocurrieron tiempo después... a si que acompañenme a revisitar y moldear una parte importante de mi tortuosa infancia

Luna frost ( jelsa): luna es la hija mayor de Jack frost y Elsa de Arendell, de todos sus parientes, es ella la que se northuldra, con la excepción de los ojos azules de su madre , tiene el pelo castaño de su abuela , una chica delgada de pelo largo desordenado, tiene el poder de controlar el agua en sus 3 estados , y aunque es la gemela mayor , es la más rebelde, se lleva mejor con el espíritu libre de su papá, que con la seria reina de hielo que es su madre , viviendo con su familia en el castillo de hielo que su madre hizo , es un espiritu libre ,muy bromista , que le cuesta tomarse en serio las cosas

Kai frost (jelsa): el hijo menor de Jack frost y Elsa de Arendell, tiene un físico muy parecido al de su padre cuando era humano, es un chico delgado , de pelo castaño rebelde, piel oliva por su acendencia northuldra , ojos grises , los lentes cuadrados y muy bajo , siendo que siempre tiene la misma altura que su hermana , su poder es controlar el aire , un poder irónico, siendo que el suele ser un chico muy serio , y hasta estirado , tomándose muy en serio su labor como guardián, sabiendo cada dato de magia que se le a permitido saber , a diferencia de su hermana y padre , se lleva mejor con la calmada Elsa , que con el desastroso Jack frost , le cuesta expresar sus sentimientos, y tiene una adicción al chocolate

De aquí en adelante, solo los primeros hijos de cada ship era los protagonistas de mi fanfiction

Raven ( Pitch x Gothel/ Cassandra x Varian) : raven fue producto del amorío malvado de Gothel con Pitch , siendo que fue encontrada por los guardianes cuando era un bebé, nadie sabía que hacer con ella , pero Rapunzel y Cassandra optarían por cuidarla , siendo adoptada por Varian y Cassandra, siendo que al principio parecía un "bebé de sombra ", paso a tener un aspecto más humano, pero sus ojos dorados y su piel grisácea la difieren , además de su pelo casi siempre amarrado, ya que si no suele actuar como una sombra , es una chica dulce , tímida y muy inteligente, casi siempre sintiéndose apartada del resto por su acendencia, pero ama a su nueva familia, desde sus padres , hasta sus tíos y primas , tiene el poder de entrar en los sueños de otros , pero cuando lo hace les da pesadillas, puede controlar las sombras, incluso volverse una, o ser un "hibrido" de humano y sombra

Lily flitzherbert ( Rapunzel x Eugen): es la hija menor de Rapunzel y Eugen , una joven rubia (genes recesivos, yo que se ) ,ojos cafes con lentes , cuerpo curvilíneo y muy atractiva, si bien se parece mucho a su mamá, tiene el autoestima (cof, cof arrogancia, cof ) de su padre , además de ser muy sarcástica, no tiene poderes , pero un sartén en sus manos será más letal que una espada , se lleva mejor con su consentidora madre , pero todo mundo sabe que es más hija de Eugene

Juno flitzherbert (Rapunzel x Eugen): la hija mayor de Rapunzel y Eugen, una hermosa mujer de pelo castaño, piel oliva y ojos verdes, además de un cuero curvilíneo, es una persona dulce y generosa, que siempre velará por los intereses de su reino, ella al igual que su madre tiene poderes curativos, pero solo con sus lagrimas , siendo 5 años mayor que su hermana , y se lleva mejor con su papá, ya que el la consciente más

Stoick haddock (mericcup): el hijo mayor de Merida e Hipo, si bien tiene mucho de su padre , teniendo un rostro similar, el posee un cuerpo más musculoso, además de ser más alto , pareciéndose más al vikingo promedio que su propio padre , es pelirrojo y de ojos verdes, dándole un físico más parecido al de su abuelo , que al de su propio padre, es el mejor arquero del pueblo... e irónicamente un terrible espadachín, siempre se llevó mejor con la atlética Mérida, que con el sarcástico Hipo, es un joven centrado y valiente, además de tener el sarcasmo de Hipo , fue el primero en reencontrarse con los dragones ( más sin ayuda de su padre )

Marcail, Megan y Maribeth ( Mericcup): trillizas menores de Hiccup y Merida , teniendo un físico parecido al de su madre de niña , Megan siendo un calco de ella , mientras sus hermanas se difieren por los ojos , Maribeth los tiene verdes y Marcail cafes ( como Elinor ), son 3 pequeños diablillos que honrarian a loki , Megan es la trilliza valiente, Marcail es la trilliza lista , y Maribeth es la trilliza malvada (son hugo , paco y luis )

Axel (Kristoff x Anna ) : el hijo menor de Anna y Kristoff, siendo de sus 3 hermanos, el más parecido a su madre , con el pelo rubio fresa , ojos verdes , es un joven de cuerpo pequeño, rostro redondo lleno de pecas , es el único de su familia sin poderes , es un chico algo inseguro , pero muy alegre y optimista, además de soñador , es amante de los renos , siendo que tiene una rena de nombre Alida , y es muy hábil con la espada , pasa más tiempo con Kai y Luna que con sus hermanos , se lleva mejor con su amable y algo torpe madre , aunque ama a toda su familia por igual, es el primo menor de su familia

Annik (Kristoff x Anna) : la hija mayor de Anna y Kristoff, además de ser la mayor de sus primos, es una mujer de figuras esbelta y muy bella, con una actitud muy reservada , elegante y algo presuntuosa, siendo más lo que se espera de una princesa y una reina futura, al igual que su hermano , tiene un gran parecido con su madre , con la única excepción que tiene ojos dorados, posee poderes de fuego , y aunque cueste pensarlo ,es la que mejor controla sus poderes en la familia, aún a si una guantes ... porque odia la suciedad , se lleva mejor con su padre , irónicamente

Klaus (Kristoff x Anna ): el hijo medio de Anna y Kristoff , además de ser mellizo de Annik , es un calco de su padre , incluso teniendo una personalidad parecida , pero no es tan cascarrabias ni anti social, esta comprometido con la princesa Juno , es igual un vendedor de hielo , porque no le gusta depender de su título, tiene un reno llamado Birger, posee el poder de controlar la tierra

Datos

. Los primos de Arendell tienen dones otorgados por el bosque,al menos los primeros 4 , siendo que cada uno está conectado a un elemento, Luna el agua, Kai el aire , Annik el fuego y Klaus la tierra , esto a acomplejado a Axel un poco , después de todo , no será un rey , ni un guardián

. Aún a si , Axel pasa más tiempo con sus primos , siendo que es solo 2 años menor , mientras es 7 años menor que sus hermanos , siendo parte vital de las travesuras de Luna , mientras con Kai tiene una relación un poco menos unida, pero no por eso dejan de quererse

. Luna es la que cuida de los caballos del agua (en mi mente hay más de un espíritu de agua , fuego y viento, como con los gigantes) , también siente envidia de su padre y hermano , ya que ellos si pueden volar

. Kai suele fingir como un vigía del bosque, advirtiendo de peligros y cuidando los alrededores, con ayuda de los espíritus del viento

. Luna es la que suele rogarle a su hermano para jugar , el solo accede después de un " solo si dejas de molestar ", para hacer un muñeco de nieve o guerra de bolas de nieve ( que Kai suele perder )

. Los 2 gemelos son los niños consentidos de los guardianes,los mejor dulces en Pascua,los mejores regalos de navidad, sacos de monedas por dientes , sueños más alocados

. Luna suele llevarse bien con con las haditas de los dientes ... especialmente con una

. Conejo quiere más a Kai que a Jack

. Kai es asexual... pero no por eso quiere decir que no tiene sentimientos románticos

. Kai tiene un crush con Raven , aunque por su misma actitud no lo demuestra, pero la aprecia como amiga ... aún si le gusta como algo más

. Raven tiene TDAH, leyendo un poco, descubrí que este porcentaje pequeño suele describirse como "soñador y tímido ", aunque no es tan habladora

. Raven tiene una gran pacion por la alquimia, siendo que tiene cierto complejo por sus poderes, a si que con la alquimia, puede usar la magia de otra forma

. Aún cuándo en teoría, Cassandra y Rapunzel son sus hermanas, nunca se a referido a ellas de esa forma

. Igualmente, Raven tiene un crush con Kai , pero no sabe si el chico siente lo mismo

. Lily y Raven se consideran las mejores amigas, también aprecia a Kai

. Curiosamente Lily no se lleva tan bien con Luna, Stoick , ni con su hermana

. Lily es lesbiana , y tiene novia, Valentina ( hija de Dolores y Mariano )

. Lily es una gran diseñador de ropa , además de una gran ladrona , siendo que a veces roba por diversión

. Stoick a pesar de ser muy parecido al concepto de " Vikingo ideal ", por ser hijo de una mujer extranjera no siempre es muy bien recibido

. Su dragón se llama Twilight, siendo la hija de chimuelo ( es el dragón de ojos azules), para el esas criaturas no son más que leyendas , o lo eran hasta que una lo atacó por su pescado en un viaje, a si que tiene cierto secreto

. Tiene una relación de amor- odio con Luna , Stoick la ve como una niña demasiado fastidiosa, la otra lo ve como un cascarrabias

. Aún a si ,curiosamente Luna y Twilight se llevan bien, Twilight confía en ella porque no es del todo humana , mientras Luna trata de tenerla en su lado bueno porque quiere volar

. Stoick y Hipo tiene una relación similar a la de Elinor y Merida , no se entienden , pero se quieren

. Si pertenecieran a una casa de hogwarts sería,Lily y Luna en Slytherin, Stoick y Axel en Gryffindor, Raven en Hufflepuff, y Kai en ravenclaw

La siguiente parte de mi au de la escuela del bien y del mal ... hablemos de los maestros , nuestro cuarteto y el frostcup

Para empezar, quienes serían los decanos? Pues para el decano del bien , quiero proponer al bonachón St .Nort, mientras su contra parte, como el decano de la escuela del mal sería , Ryker Grimborn

Ahora, empecemos hablando de quienes son los maestros de la gran escuela de bien (... aunque me presento como una never ), diré que lo haré solo pondré las materias del primer año , porque es más fácil 😅... además de que son las mismas con otro nombre en su mayoría

Embellecimiento: ok, esta materia es el epítome de la superficialidad... pero sigue siendo la escuela del bien, a si que propongo a la reina Ariadna, imagina, encontrar a una chica hija de una bruja , que te resulta familiar... muy familiar

Etiqueta de princesas: esto suena como algo que enseñaría la reina Elinor , pensé también para embellecimiento, pero creo que esta queda mejor para nuestra reina

Comunicación animal: se me ocurre que podría ser una materia para Valka , mostrando ardillas y pajaritos a sus alumnos... y ocultando dragones cuando no la ven

Esgrima y entrenamiento con armas : quien mejor que nuestro gran Guerrero Aster Bunnymund, pinta de héroe épico, sin duda la mejor opción

Caballerosidad y arreglo personal (... embellecimiento para hombres ): porque no volteamos a ver al rey Agnarr, si , se que a lo mejor estará ocupado con su reino y bla bla , pero recordemos que en cierta serie (ouat), nos dicen que la gobernante es Iduna , a si que no veo porqué no podría tener un trabajo en la escuela

Historia de héroes: que tal si vemos a la aventura tía Willow, que sin duda sería una gran maestra con todo lo que tiene que decir

Buenas obras : al igual que nuestra hada madrina favorita, St .Nort toma su lugar, con un gran corazón lleno de esperanza

Supervivencia a cuentos de hadas : creo que el sabio Pabbie , sería una buena opción, para ayudar a los héroes a ver los peligros del bosque

Ya hablamos del bien... pero llegamos a la parte divertida 😈

Afeamiento: sabían que Calis era una villana muy atractiva aún si daba esta materia ?, pues en base a esto , ver a Gothel dando esta materia no sería una sorpresa

Entrenamiento de secuaces: porque no vemos a Savange , que siempre estuvo detrás de antagonista como Alvin o Dagur

Maldiciones y trampas mortales : y creo que esto iría con nuestra querida bruja convierte a todos en oso ... que no se si tiene nombre

Historia de la villanía (mi favorita personal): y aquí propongo a Mor du... si se que es un oso, pero pollux y castor eran perros y eso no los detuvo, además, a vivido por muchos años , el pudo presenciar mucho ... talvez más de lo que debería

Talentos especiales: pondré a Pepa , por razones que creo no tener que explicar... vamos , su don es una fuerza de caos, eso la hace merecedora del puesto

Ahora veamos... que pasa con los directores?, bueno, pondré a Pitch black y a Nightlight ... creo no tener que explicar porque quedan tan bien

Ahora, veamos algunos Headcanons de nuestro grupo favorito

Hiccup: siendo decendientes de una larga linea de valientes guerreros que matan dragones... pero el es diferente, a si que de ser elegido, nadie lo ve en la escuela del bien... pero si queda , descubriendo poco a poco que talvez,y solo talvez, los dragones no son siempre los malos

Jack frost: un chico abandonado que siempre quiso lo mejor para su hermana, más cuando lo llevan a la escuela, ve su oportunidad para darle a su familia un final feliz... pero cuando termina del lado malo , tiene que hacer lo que sea necesario, para ganar su final feliz

Merida : una princesa que nunca quiso serlo , siendo si madre una gran reina y una maestra de la escuela, el que termine en la escuela del mal no fue una buena sorpresa... pero tal vez, descubra que solo a si podrá hacer lo que quiera

Rapunzel: un caso parecido al de Mérida, hija de una bruja , que termina en la escuela del bien, donde parece encajar de forma escalofriante... además de descubrir secretos muy oscuros de su madre

Hablemos un triángulo amoroso curioso,Frostcup vs Blackice

Hiccup y jack se hicieron amigos porque sus aldeas quedan cerca , siendo jack el adorable niño un tanto travieso que parecía seria de la escuela del bien... pero no fue a si, al contrario de Hiccup, una desgracia que todos esperaban terminar como una fuerza caótica del mal ... pero se equivocan

Hiccup ve esperanza por una vez en su vida , pero cuando el director(pitch) parece muy cercano a su amigo , decide que deben regresar a casa

Hiccup y Jack pasan de ser mejores amigos, a amantes separados por el destino, siendo que Jack hará lo que sea para obtener un final feliz... aún si eso significa entregarse al sombrío director

just for clarification:

disliking parts of the way rapunzel’s character was handled in the show =/= disliking her.

movie!rapunzel means a lot to me personally, and i absolutely adore some aspects of her character in the show. i think she’s loving, creative, funny, intelligent, and she tries her best to help the people around her.

if i have a critique with her in the show, it’s because i believe that isn’t how she’d behave as someone who went through the events of the movie. or maybe i look at how she acts for one episode of the show, compare it to the foundation they’ve established in an earlier episode, and find that they contrast one another. my criticisms are for the inconsistent or out-of-character writing, not for rapunzel herself. i understand she has flaws; i just wish they were addressed properly and that she didn’t always have to be in the right.

Summary: For everything that has happened, Arianna should be afraid. Afraid for her life. Afraid for her kingdom. Afraid for her family. But she watches, closely, at the slight tremble in Varian’s voice, in the way he shields himself from her gaze, and can’t feel anything but sad.

Or, a Fix It-AU where Arianna is the mother Varian didn’t know he needed but deserved 

CHAPTER I

For everything that has happened, Arianna should be afraid. Afraid for her life. Afraid for her kingdom. Afraid for her family.

But she watches, closely, at the slight tremble in Varian’s voice, in the way he shields himself from her gaze, and can’t feel anything but sad. He’s smaller than most village boys she meets, with buck teeth that he tries to hide and a lock of hair that reminds of her niece from far away. He’s a child, she realizes. A child. And younger than her daughter, at that.

Dangerous. Untrustworthy. Reckless. These are the words she has heard about Varian, the only words, in fact, that have come out of Frederic’s mouth. But she looks at the boy’s shaky frame, the dark bags under his eyes, the frenzied, paranoid look he has on his face. She stares and thinks reckless, yes, but also young. Naive.

Broken.

“Believe me I know, I’ve sunk pretty low, but whatever I’ve done you deserve it,” he seethes, blow torch firing away at whatever invention he’s created.

“Varian-” she tries, only to be shut out.

“I’m the bad guy, that’s fine-” she hears his voice breaks at the end, but he steels himself forward and continues to work. “It’s no fault of mine, and some justice at last will be served-”

“Please listen!” Arianna begs. The alchemist ignores her and hammers loudly at the machine. Everything feels like a haze, his words of anger and contempt drowned out by a ringing noise in her ears. The room spins in her peripheral vision as she struggles to think of something, anything, to say.

In front of her, Varian suddenly stops at the amber rocks, a yearning look on his face as he stares up at his only remaining family. There is something unreadable in his expression, something wistful and wanting. 

You’ve lost someone, she thinks. You’ve lost someone, and God help me that is something I can understand.

“I know what it feels like!” Arianna shouts before can stop herself. Varian freezes, hand hovering over the amber prison. “Please, just-”

“Be quiet!” Varian scowls. He turns around, furious, but Arianna boldly stands up, feet carrying her as far as the chains would allow.

“You care, you care so much about the people you love that you’ll do anything to help them. I know what it feels like to lose someone you love. Believe, me, I know.”

“You don’t know anything!” Varian cries. His eyes screw shut, hands clench tightly at his sides. “You don’t understand anything. He’s all I have! He’s all I have left!”

“And what would he think of you now?” Arianna counters. “What would he think if he saw you threatening people’s lives, endangering innocents on your quest for revenge? How will this make things better?” She watches as he brings his hands to his face, shoulders shaking violently. There’s an urge, deep and powerful, that makes her want to go over and hold him tight, but she can’t. Not now. Not with her being so close.

“You were friends with my daughter, Varian. You still are, I think. She talked about you, about how smart and brave you were, how incredible your inventions could be. Varian, please, prove to me that you’re the same boy she talked about.”

“There’s no other choice!” Varian says. “I-I’ve done too much, I’ve gone too far to turn back.” He frantically rubs his eyes, desperate to keep her from seeing him too closely. “I need to make my Dad proud. I have to free him!”

“Listen to me,” Arianna pleads. She tugs on her chains and prays that she can get closer to the boy. “This feeling, this empty, awful feeling of despair. What you are doing will make none of that go away. It will only keep adding up until you can barely stand anymore. I would have done anything to see my daughter-” her voice cracks slightly, breath hitching on the last syllable. “-and I know you’re willing to do anything to free your father, but this isn’t the right way. This isn’t the answer to what you’re feeling.” She reaches out her hands with all the strength she can muster. “Varian, are you listening to me-”

“I-I-” he stutters, breathing becoming erratic. “I don’t know what to do,” he whispers, and in that moment Arianna sees the mask he’s built fall apart. “I don’t, I d-don’t-”

“Varian-”

“I want him back.” A strangled sob erupts from his mouth, piercing Arianna straight to her bone, and just like that, a dam seems to break. “I want, I-”. He wraps his arms around his body and bends over. She can hardly make out what he’s saying. “I c-can’t fix this. I can’t fix any of this-” he lets out another choked cry, grips the goggles on his head and throws them to the ground.

It’s agonizing to Arianna as she watches him. She remembers the pain, the suffering that went through Frederic’s mind when he realized there was nothing he could do to save Rapunzel. And it scares her as similar the two are in their pursuit of their goals.

She yanks at the chains, but they only seem to dig deeper into her flesh and the distance between her and Varian remains the same. She wants to speak, to shout, to tell him it will be okay, as he continues to sob. After realizing how useless trying to escape would be, she seriously considers throwing something over there to get his attention before a small chirp echoes from below. 

Startled, she looks down at the small raccoon (Rudiger, she vaguely remembers from Rapunzel) and almost lets out a shout of joy when she sees the rusty key in his mouth.

“Thank you,” Arianna says, and she wastes no time in unlocking the chains. They fall to the ground with a loud thump, but the sound seems miles away as she goes to embrace Varian.

In hindsight, she realizes a second into the action, a dozen very bad things could happen. She could be hit. Pushed away. Splashed with whatever concoction he has in his belt. But to her relief, the boy melts into her touch with a pained whimper. She clutches him tighter, murmuring words of comfort that she hopes reaches his ears.

And it is in this moment, in this cold, dark room, that the burdens of the world seem to lift a little.

The rescue arrives a few minutes after. She sees them before Varian does, in the corner of the room, arms raised with their weapons, and despite the urge to run over and unite with her family, she stays stone-still.

Varian’s cries have begun to die down until they are nothing more than soft sniffles and shaky gulps. He looks up at her with a shocked expression, as if he can’t believe she would even consider helping him. In return, she gives him a warm smile and gently tucks back a lock of his hair.

“I-I,” he wipes his nose with his sleeve. Looks away. “I did, I did this-”

There’s nothing Arianna can say now. Because sometimes, no matter how hard you try, the only way to let people heal is for them to accept what they’ve done.

“I’m sorry,” Varian finally cries. Fresh tears spill from his eyes and he furiously rubs them away. “I didn’t want this. I promise I didn’t want this-”

“Varian, Varian-” Arianna brings him close again. “Listen to me. It will be okay. You know it will be okay.”

“I committed treason,” he gasps. “I took you. I’m going to be jailed. I can’t see my dad again.”

“Breathe, Varian,” she firmly instructs. “In and out.” Her voice carries over to Frederic and Rapunzel. They come out of the shadows into the shine of the small light, and she sees her daughter’s eyes widen in shock. Beside her, Frederic stands equally conflicted.

“I’m sorry,” Varian whimpers again. “I’m so sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry-”

“Varian,” Rapunzel says.

With a lurch, The alchemist scrambles out of Arianna’s hold, legs kicking about as he tries to stand up. “R-Rapunzel-” he glances at the King in fear, then back at her. “I, I-”

“We’re not going to hurt you,” she says. “I promise.”

“I’m sorry,” he gasps, voice hoarse. “I didn’t want this. My dad-I wanted-” his back hits the table’s leg and a glass vial shatters next to him. “I’m so sorry-”

“I sorry, too,” Rapunzel says. She takes a small, hesitant step forward, arms reaching out just like Arianna did. “I’m sorry for breaking my promise. I’m sorry that your father is stuck in the rocks. I know we can fix this, though.”

“How?” Varian asks, and Arianna is struck by how young he looks now, head ducked in both shame and fear. “I don’t know what to do.”

“I don’t either,” Rapunzel admits. “But we will soon, okay? We just have to keep trying.” She holds her hand out to the alchemist in hope. “Together?”

There’s a pain-staking silence as a minute passes. Then two. Then three. But Rapunzel never once wavers, never once moves from that very spot, and a swell of pride erupts in Arianna as she witnesses her daughter’s kindness.  

Finally, finally, Varian takes Rapunzel’s hand and allows himself to be pulled up. She immediately throws her arms around his neck, head buried in his shoulder. It is awkward at first, with him not what to do or what to say, but the alchemist slowly returns the gesture with an equal amount of affection.

There are no words, Arianna thinks, for the feeling that comes with being forgiven. And in the shadows of the prison, in the suffocating darkness that has trapped Varian for so long, she swears that her daughter’s hair glows with the promise of healing. 

I am deeply unsatisfied with the season finale, mainly because of downright murderous they made Varian to be and the lack of actual character redemption. With Rapunzel, Eugene, and Cassandra going out of corona and whatnot, our chances of seeing him again anytime soon is low, especially with the path paved for new plot lines, crap ton of characters, etc. I just feel like we were robbed of some conclusion to Varians character. But I am hoping we see him again soon in Season 2, if the writers decide to do that.

I’m gonna say this here because I refuse to fight with Rebeca in a comment section but here are my thoughts. I think ppl are forgetting the target audience for these Disney movies. Whether kids want to see someone who looks like them on screen or introducing different cultures and people who don’t look like you at an early age. I don’t think you guys understand how sad it is when the only Disney princess that looks like you, the whole movie is about the struggle of a black women, when all these other Disney princesses get whimsical and quirky storylines and personalities, black girls get a movie with a hard truth within society at such a young age. That’s literally all they’ve got. And you guys think it’s so cute and funny to make hypotheticals of taking the one thing they have away with your Ariana grande casting. I get making new Disney movies but do yall know the things yall said about wish when it first came out. Yall are starting to forget how embarrassing it is for a grown person as yourself is critiquing children disney movies and your only reasoning being “the songs are bad and she’s cringey”. I promise if we all let the little kids watch wish without saying a word they would love it. She is literally a perfect example of you can’t win. Like we are moving backwards if representation is upsetting people. This is going to turn into the brown v board if we don’t stop this like seriously (if you don’t know what the brown v board experiment is, it’s basically a test that was run in the 1940s where they would get black kids and put two identical dolls in front of them, one with a white skin ton and one darker, the kids would then choose which doll was the ‘prettier’ doll and 67% preferred the white doll over the 33% who chose the black doll) you guys don’t understand representation means absolutely everything to a child more than you think. Especially in a world where a woman with a slightly darker complexion was being called snow brown. Calling her aggressive and rude and I can’t let you guys forget about the Romeo and Juliet situation where you guys bullied this girl OUT OF HER JOB. When a black woman appears slightly more masculine or without as much soft features you guys will call her Tyrone, a stud, a man. But let a masculine white girl come up on your screen you guys are calling her fine and ‘I wish my bf looked like you’ like you guys disgust me so bad. None of you had plans to watch the play, watch Snow White, or Ariel. You guys just want to be racist, plain and simple. Grow up and stop watching children’s movies at your grown age if you can’t handle diversity you fucking embarrassment. It’s not the 1930s
