Curate, connect, and discover
The 'cover' for Daughter of Darkness: Rise of the Snakes.
One small thing that bothers me whenever I rewatch this particular moment in the series: At the end of "Day of the Great Devourer" after the Great Devourer has been defeated, the others discover that Master Wu is, in fact, NOT dead. We see them shout enthusiastically, and begin running towards him. Several members of the group raise their arms up and out while running, and then we cut to Wu also spreading out his arms. It looks, for all the world, like they are about to hug the shit out of him. The group then slows to a stop just in front of him. No hug. Am I the only one who noticed this? Is it weird that it bothers me? Is it part of the teapot joke?
My favorite thing about the dance sequences in this episode are all the subtle variations. It would have probably been easier for the animators to sync the character models to a uniform set movement but even in the final performance there are all these little details given to each ninja that really brings the whole episode to life
For instance here you can actually see Zane has his foot raised off the ground
I also noticed that occasionally he and Kai get ahead of Jay and Cole (with Zane being slightly faster at moving towards the next pose)
The start has Cole's stance as the widest, which makes sense because he needs to stand out for his own true potential episode!
I don't know what any of these moves are called, but I think it's interesting how Kai is more dramatic with the way he raises his shoulder- compared to Jay, whose performs the same move at a much softer angle
Me fr
I like all the instances of Jay giving someone a little wink as a means to show support
Wouldn't be surprised if it's something he picked up from his dad
I'm so emotional about season 1 Nya..... like here she admits to spending hours trying to find a plausible theory as to how the tombs are arranged. Despite the fact that they alienate her to the point where she feels compelled to make a secret identity, Nya's always been there to do the type of analysis and research the ninja used to struggle with (they did not have the best discipline at the time)
