SFW Alphabet (Aizawa Shouta)

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

He's pretty affectionate in his own ways, but it's more subtle in public. In public, he's not much for kisses and hugs, but he'll let you hug him. Mostly, he keeps close to you, drawing near enough that you can feel the heat radiating from his body, walking close enough that your hands or shoulders brush. He leans in close to you and speaks in soft tones just so that he can be in your space.

In private, he's very hands on, cuddly. He'll squeeze your hip as he walks by, put his arms around you from behind and push his face into your hair. He'll gently take your hands and ask about your day, he could spend hours listening to you, if only he had the time.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Very loyal and protective. Shouta is dedicated to the people he cares about, no matter if his feelings are romantic or platonic.

You'd probably get to know each other through hero work, as that takes up a large portion of his time, so you would either be a hero yourself, or involved in the industry in some way. I think you'd have to be a bit persistent in order to become close to him.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

He's a big cuddler, especially if it's a prelude to a nap, he loves taking a nap with you. He likes holding you close and resting his head on your chest. You'd be his personal pillow.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Marriage never really crossed his mind, part of him doesn't think he's capable of settling down with a partner. He's used to being on his own, putting distance between himself and others. I think for the right person, he would find himself considering more (when he falls, he falls hard) and it would lead him to reevaluate his life and his priorities.

I think he's pretty good at cleaning. Clutter can accumulate, there's always worksheets and paperwork left out and he's not the best about tidying up when he's so tired, but since he's so minimalist with what he owns it's not egregious. If not tidy, he keeps things clean, what needs scrubbing is scrubbed, the washing is washed.

He can cook very very basic meals but he's mostly a takeout/microwave/jelly pack fiend.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

He'd do it in person, and be very blunt about it. He wouldn't try to be mean but he can be awkward with his feelings and he'd be pushing forward a stoic face to hide any of his own hurt feelings. Not the worst break up to experience, but not the gentlest either.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

I think the concept of commitment to him is more the promise between two people than the ceremony itself. That said, marriage appeals to him from a practical standpoint. He doesn't want to have to go through hoops to be by your side in an emergency. As soon as he realizes in love with you, he'd want to get married for that reason alone.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

He's very physically gentle with you, especially if you're not a hero yourself. He always worries he's too rough with you, even just holding you close, like he might squeeze you too tight.

Emotionally, he's very blunt, he doesn't sugarcoat things. He's never been one to soften the blow. He tries, though, but it's a work in progress. He's also very awkward when it comes to vocalizing his affection. He has surprisingly tender, poetic thoughts about you, but the thought of voicing them makes his tongue twist in his mouth and his hands sweat like he's a schoolboy all over again.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

He likes hugs in private, bringing you into his arms whenever he has the chance. His hugs are warm, tight, and prolonged. You can feel the tension seep out of his body the moment he has a hold of you. He'll press his face into your hair or your shoulder and breathe you in. He won't let go for at least a minute or two.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

A long while after realizing he's in love. He can be awkward with his feelings, and putting his heart out for someone else to see in a way that's so upfront and vulnerable would be surprisingly intimidating to him. There's not a lot that scares him, but saying "I love you" that first time would be terrifying.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

He can get a little jealous, but only if someone else is actively hitting on you. If that happens, then he comes up to loom behind you and gives the other person a look that says "back off" and it's pretty damn effective. If you bring it up to him afterward, he'll act like he has no idea what you're talking about.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

His kisses are slow and tender, unhurried. It's like he's trying to savor the taste of you. He loves to press a kiss to your temple or the side of your head, letting his lips rest there as he soaks in your presence. He appreciates any kiss from you, of course, but he's especially fond of when you kiss his stubbled jaw.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

He's great with kids, though it perplexes him. He's always sure that they'd be scared of him, but kids have a way of sensing a good soul and they see it in him.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

He's not always there with you when you wake up, unfortunately. He's late to bed, early to rise. When he does have the morning off, he's impossible to wake up, rumbling and grumbling through your attempts to rouse him like a bear in hibernation. He's also very stubborn about you leaving the bed, he'll lay himself partially on top of you to keep you in place, pulling the blankets tight around the two of you and pressing his face into your collar bone. You'll just have to resign yourself to your fate, not that you're complaining very much.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Nights with Shouta are usually spent inside. Usually you both are together in the living room, talking or watching a movie or just cuddling with each other. Sometimes, you go out with mutual friends if they manage to convince Shouta, but a quiet evening at home is more his speed.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

It's very slow, bits and pieces over time with the occasional long talk in bed (he's always more open in the dark of the bedroom). It takes him a while to even start to open up, even once he trusts you. He's just used to locking pieces of himself away, not poking at the things that hurt him.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

He doesn't get angry very often, especially with you unless you do something reckless that puts you in danger, but then that anger is a mask for his concern. More often than anger, he gets irritated and snappish when he's overstimulated. If you're ever threatened or seriously hurt, that might be when you see actual rage from him, but not towards you, obviously.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

He's very observant and remembers a lot of the little details about you. More than observant, he's genuinely interested in you, so it's easy for him to pay attention, to remember. It's through remembering these things that he finds another way to express his care, because his words often fall short (or at least he feels they do).

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

The first time you held hands, that first contact, the first time he let you into his space and accepted your touch. He remembers how soft and small your hand was in his, the racing of his heart, the nerves that threatened to cut off his breath. He remembers the warmth that bloomed in his chest, the irrational, fuzzy, poetic thoughts that filled his head.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

He's very protective, maybe a little overprotective. If you're also a hero, he has your back in the field when he can, he keeps up to date on your activities and is willing to drop everything should you need backup. If you're not a hero, he'll make sure you have at least a little self-defense training for when you go out, he does everything he can to make sure villains don't find out about your connection to him, and when he's out with you, he's always at least a little on guard (another reason he prefers evenings at home)

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He's not one for planning dates or big romantic gestures, but he does pay attention to important events in your lives, especially if they're important to you. He's good about the little things, gifts and gestures and just making sure that he's contributing to your lives together. He remembers your favorite orders from restaurants and treats you like and runs a bath and gives you a massage when you've had a long day. He's very thoughtful.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

He's really bad about looking after himself. He puts everyone else before himself and doesn't know when to quit. You will be up worrying some nights.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

He doesn't care about his looks, the only thing that's close to an exception is his facial hair. He likes having a bit of scruff and he hates the occasions where he has to shave it all off.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

He would. He didn't understand the concept until he fell for you, but suddenly he got it. You became an irreplaceable part of his very being, and it's as thrilling as it is terrifying to think about.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

He truly, honestly doesn't care either way about having a wedding, but if you do have one, he will cry a little.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

He doesn't want a partner that treats him too much like a "project". If a partner's too interested in changing core parts about him, then he's out.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

He loves a good nap, he can sleep just about anywhere at any time. He can somehow tell when the chaos around him is something that needs his attention or not, seemingly choosing when he can sleep through it.

A : Affectionate How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?

He shows affection in small ways that just never end, not in an annoying way. His love languages are definitely physical affection (he's touch-starved), quality time (he spent so much of his childhood alone, physically or not), and words of affirmation. I talk about the physical stuff further down, but he also loves just being in the same room as you. If you're in college and studying or doing homework he's there with you, silent, just enjoying your presence, stepping in whenever you need a break (hypocrite). He praises you for the smallest thing, you got a C+ on a paper and feel down? That professor's an idiot, Lois Lane would publish a paper like that. You look beautiful in that outfit, doesn't matter how often he's seen you in it, you always look amazing.

B : Best Friend What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?

I can see the friendship starting slowly, you two meet probably somewhere like a bookstore or coffee shop. You're looking at a book he likes and he comments, and the two of you start talking. You don't exchange info, just happen to meet up there a few times before you start talking outside of the bookshop. It's definitely a warm, and open friendship. You can banter back and forth, pick up conversations like two weeks hadn't passed, etc.

C : Cuddles Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?

Jason in two words: touch starved. He tries to be nonchalant about it, but he has to be touching you in some way. Arm around your shoulders, leaning against your side, holding your hand, you holding his arm, etc. His two favorites are when you lay on his chest, you're like a living, beautiful weighted blanket, and when you let him lay on your chest, listening to your heart beat, feeling your breath under his chest, your fingers carding through his hair. He's like an overgrown cat.

D : Domestic Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?

He does not actively realize he wants to settle down, but he cannot see his future without you. To him it doesn't matter if you have kids, don't have kids, get married, don't get married, stay in Gotham, move, etc. He just wants you next to him. As for cooking-- I cannot see him being an excellent cook. He either forgets to eat, or makes instant ramen for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. He, however, doesn't want you to feel like you have to do everything, so he learns how to cook basic meals for the two of you, and luckily, he's decent at cleaning. The mess reminds him too much of his house growing up, and he doesn't want to feel that around you.

E : Ending If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?

In a serious relationship I can only see Jason breaking up with their partner due to him fearing for their safety. He'd also do it fast, like breakup with you, give you a half-assed reason, and then flee. He wouldn't answer your texts or calls, but he'd always make sure you were safe. He just feels you're safer without him.

F : Fiancé How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?

He doesn't actively plan on getting married, but he wants you in his life forever. He goes by your flow once you're together for a longer period of time. You wanna get married? He's down on one knee. Want a big wedding? He's guilting Bruce into paying for everything. Want a small wedding? Still making Bruce pay. Courthouse? Already driving you two there. How quick would depend on you, two years in and you want a ring? He's taking Babs out to help him look. Seven years and you mention the courthouse? Well you're both free Wednesday, wanna go then?

G : Gentle How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?

Jason Todd is a huge teddy bear. He knows he's big, he's strong, he's intimidating, and most of the time he doesn't mind that. With you though? Doesn't matter how strong you are, he's gonna treat you like glass. Not because he doesn't think you can handle yourself, he just never wants to hurt you in any way, shape, or form. He never raises his voice at you, never raises a hand, never even thinks of doing either of those.

H : Hugs Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?

Like I said, touch-starved. If he could have you in his arms all the time he would. Any time you're fine with it-- cause if you needed space or no touch he'd oblige, and not make a fuss about it cause hey he respects your boundaries-- he's got you in his arms. His hugs make you feel like nothing can hurt you, you're protected in his arms, leaning against his chest, listening to his heartbeat.

I : I Love You How fast do they say the L-word?

I can definitely see him taking a bit to say it, not because he doesn't love you, but because saying it feels really real to him. However, when he comes to fully realize, know, and accept that he loves you, he says it without realizing it and doesn't blink while you're reeling. After that, he ends every conversation with an "I love you", and sometimes randomly gives you a quick kiss with a "love you".

J : Jealousy How jealous do they get? What do they do when they're jealous?

It's strange for him because, on the one hand, he trusts you. Like, really, really trusts you. He'd hand you his guns if you so much as asked, not needing anything else. However, he does get jealous. Specifically cause he loves your attention, and when it's on someone else for too long and he feels ignored, the man deflates. His brothers think it's hilarious to steal your attention from him and watch him get all pouty. The big bad Red Hood is pouting cause his partner is talking to his brothers and not him.

K : Kisses What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?

Kissing Jason makes you feel like you're wrapped up in a warm blanket, protected, loved, and like you're the most important person to walk on the earth. Regardless of how quick and small they are, or how hot and heavy they can become. He loves to kiss you on the lips, the cheek, and the forehead. He feels that's the best way to convey how much he loves you. As for him, he loves it when you press gentle kisses on his hands, his palms, or his knuckles. It makes him feel soft, it makes him feel safe. He won't say that, though, so you better pick up on his little smile every time you do.

L : Little Ones How are they around children?

He's the kind of guy who says they don't like kids, that they're snot-nosed and annoying. Yet he's so soft with them. He kneels down to their level to talk to them, never talks to them like they're dumb or babies, always makes sure they are able to show or say their boundaries and he respects them. He volunteered once with you at a library with the poorer kids and read to them, going out of his way to make funny voices, letting them climb all over his lap, tug his hair, etc.

M : Morning How are mornings spent with them?

He's not a morning person. Odds are you're up before him and he tries holding you in bed, pleading that he just needs five more minutes with you. You can bribe him out of bed with breakfast and coffee, however.

N : Night How are nights spent with them?

More of a night owl, and you two often stay up late, talking in hushed whispers about anything and everything. He likes it when he makes you laugh when you're tired and giggly and find him hilarious. Odds are he's not a morning person cause you two stay up late.

O : Open When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?

He wouldn't open up quickly. That's just not really the Batfamily tradition. You'd be dating for a while, and one night he'd probably have a rough night. Aggressive thugs out and about, hurt kids, bad memories. You'd just hold him, you wouldn't pry or ask questions, just let him relax into you. And he'd spill. About his mom. About Willis. About meeting Bruce. About his relationship with his brothers. Dying. Coming back. His feelings. Everything.

P : Patience How easily angered are they?

He used to have a horrible temper, and everyone knew. With you? He wanted to change that. You were never the reason he was mad: upset? Sometimes, sure. But he loves you, so he worked on himself. He worked on communication, talking to you when you did something or said something. He learned healthier ways to manage his anger, as to never take it out on you.

Q : Quizzes How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?

Jason remembers when his mom started forgetting small things about him, forgetting holidays and birthdays, and as a kid he never said anything, but it hurt. It hurt a lot when she forgot how old he was because she missed his past few birthdays. So he makes sure he remembers everything about you. You once mentioned this café opening you saw online? He takes you there on opening day-- five months later. You changed from gold to silver or silver to gold? He picks up on it and changes the jewelry he buys you accordingly.

R : Remember What is their favorite moment in your relationship?

He's got two. One, when you learned about him being Red Hood. He was worried about your response, knowing it was a dangerous life. But you just told him to promise you he'd always come back to you, and you learned how to patch up different kinds of wounds without telling him to help him however you could. Just you worrying about his safety made his heart flutter. Two, when you learned who his father was. He was used to people wanting to be close to him and his siblings because of Bruce-- riches and influence. You didn't care, at all. "Oh. Your dad's Bruce Wayne? Cool. Do you want lo-mien or ramen for dinner?"

S : Security How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?

Super protective. I think we can all agree on that. He's seen the worst of the worst people, seeing people hurt and injured. He never wants you to be in those positions. You'd move in with him eventually, his apartment was probably one of the safest places in Gotham. He tracked you, with your consent of course, and you understood. You tracked his phone too, cause he knows you worry as well. As for you protecting him, he likes it when you hold him after nightmares or rough nights, telling him everything's going to be okay, and just being there for him.

T : Try How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?

A lot. But he does his best not to show it. Oh, you have a dream date you have a Pinterest board for? Well, he's searching high and low on how to make that date happen. You've always wanted to go to Paris? London? Brazil? Guess where you're going for your two year anniversary. He tucks you in whenever you nap or sleep, bookmarks your pages for you so you never lose your page, and makes sure he always has your favorite drinks in the fridge.

U : Ugly What would be some bad habits of theirs?

Self-sacrificing and shutting down. He has a hard time letting people help him, feeling like if he lets people help then he's not strong enough to take care of you. It upsets you whenever he does that, but in a way you get it. It's something you two work on.

V : Vanity How concerned are they with their looks?

His concern is mostly whenever you get worried about him. The bags under his eyes, the half-treated cuts and bruises. He takes better care of himself after dating you because whenever you worry about him like that it hurts his heart too. He gets a better shower schedule, sleeps better, eats more than take out and protein.

W : Whole Would they feel incomplete without you?

I think towards the beginning of your relationship he would do his best to remain independent. He knew the pain of being alone, being left, being forgotten, and he did his best to avoid that, but he also wouldn't want to wish that upon you if anything happened. However, as your relationship grows and continues you truly become the light of his life, and his day isn't complete if he doesn't talk to you at least once.

X : Xtra A random headcanon for them.

He talks in his sleep. Sometimes, on bad nights, he's crying, nightmares from his memories, and fears of losing you or seeing his family die in front of him because, despite it all, he still cares about them. On good days he mutters the most random crap, and you have videos of him arguing with some made up person from his dreams over food or clothes.

Y : Yuck What are some things they wouldn't like, either in general or in a partner?

He wouldn't like conceited people, confident sure, but cocky? No. He dealt with Bruce's rich "friends" too much to deal with that. He wouldn't want someone to coddle him, baby him, he wants to be taken care of sure, but not at the expense of a partner treating him like he's incapable of doing anything.

Z : Zzz What is a sleep habit of theirs?

If he could stay up all night talking to you, looking at you, he would. You, however, enjoy sleeping. You feel like you have to fight him to be in bed before three AM, and deal with the fact that he and Tim are far closer in how much coffee they drink than Jason would ever admit.

A= Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Not at all. Patrick will not act like your boyfriend, or like you two are in a romantic relationship. That man is there for sex and sex only, he is not going to hug you or have any hand holding. The most he’ll do is stop the rest of the Bower’s Gang or anyone else from bullying you, but only because they’re scared of him and because he gets jealous when other people make you cry instead of him.

B= Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start)

As a ‘best friend’, Patrick wouldn’t be the best. He’d influence you to do things your parents don’t want you to, and he’s definitely the peer pressure kid that school assemblies warn you about. It’d probably start with him forcing you to give him test answers, and then he'd just keep asking for homework answers, and then the teachers would see how ‘well’ you two work together, and they’d pair you up as project partners because no one else can handle Patrick. So, it starts off as unfortunate and unwilling get togethers, and then it’d progress from there.

C= Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

No. Absolutely not. Patrick would not be serious or actually like cuddles. If you were really upset at him over something (forcing you to have sex), he’d throw his arms around you and wouldn’t let you go until you ‘forgive’ him. But he would not cuddle you.

D= Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

I don’t think Patrick would like to settle down. He’d get bored of you, there’s no doubting it. When you go to college, he’d probably forget about you until one of you comes back years later, and then your spark flares up again and you suddenly feel like a teenager again. He’s awful at cooking and cleaning, and if he did settle down, he’d expect you to do it all. 

E= Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Since you aren’t technically dating, he’d just go find another town girl to sleep with. But if it’s something even a little serious, he’d tell you he’s bored and just get up and leave. 

F= Fiance (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Again, Patrick would not be one to settle down and marry you. He’d probably think marriage is stupid, to be honest. Why would he be stuck with just one person for the rest of his life when he could have anyone he wanted?

G= Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Patrick is not a gentle lover. He’s a rough guy, and he doesn’t really have emotions. You know, solipsism will do that to you. He wouldn’t really care that much about you, you’re just a toy to get his emotions out on. 

H= Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it and what is it like?)

No, he doesn’t. Patrick would hug you from behind while you’re cooking or something, but only to show you that he’s hard or that he wants something from you.

I don’t think he’d really say “I love you”, mostly because, again, solipsism. But also because, again, he doesn’t really care that much about you.

J= Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they get jealous?)

Very jealous. Always. He’d probably hurt whoever you showed even the slightest bit of affection to, and make you make it up to him. Patrick gets angry and jealous quickly, so expect a long night of crying, screaming, and sex. 

K= Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Rough and painful. Patrick would kiss you anywhere he could, and anywhere he can leave a mark. He bites too, so beware. He’s fine with just getting kissed on the lips, but if you kiss the tip of his dick like his lips, he’s ecstatic.

Terrible. We have evidence with Avery. Do not have children with Patrick Hockstetter.

Every now and then he’ll be there in your bed with you. It’s the only time he looks even remotely peaceful, and the only time you can look at him and enjoy his looks. But, it doesn’t last long, because soon his eyes are opening and his teeth are on your neck.

N= Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Long and mixed with pleasure and pain. Sometimes you guys sneak out and go smoke somewhere, or go to a party, but when you’re at your house and he’s sleeping over? You can’t move when you wake up.

O= Open (When will they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or do they reveal little things slowly?)

He doesn’t really open up, like at all. If you’re lucky, he’ll let one or two things slip while he’s high or drunk. But other than that, he keeps to himself. He doesn’t think you’re worthy for him to tell you stuff, since he’s the only one in the world. Plus, shouldn’t you know already? The only reason you exist is to please him, anyway, right?

Very easily. Like, drop a beer can while giving it to him and he’s taking you to a bathroom or somewhere private to yell and ‘punish’ you. Patrick hates when you mess things up, and you’re always walking on eggshells around him.

Q= Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every detail or forget the minor things?)

He literally wouldn’t remember a thing about you. Maybe some stuff about what you wear and what your schedule is, and maybe who your friends are. But other than that, he doesn’t care at all. 

R= Remember (What is their favorite moment of your relationship?)

When he first saw you cry. He loved it, and not like when the other girls would cry. Whether you’re an ugly crier or a pretty one, Patrick loves watching your mascara run down your face and see you get all red and whiny. 

S= Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? how would they like to be protected?)

He’s protective to the point where he has a hand on your waist at all times if you’re both in public together, but only because he doesn’t want any other guys to think you’re on the market. You’re his property and his only, only he can hurt you and make you feel like shit. He’d get the gang to gang up on someone if they tried to do something to you, but then he’d turn around and blame you for being so stupid for letting it happen, and for thinking that someone could hurt you more than he could. Then he’s proving you wrong and making sure you remember who can really hurt you.

T= Try (How much effort do they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

No effort at all. Don’t expect anything from him. Ever.

U= Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

All in all she will be there for you, and be your ride or die, unless what you're gonna fo is gonna hurt you 🤣

Only her SO's, but if you're a good friend and you ask she'll make an exception.

I mean she's married to 2 people and going along with canon they'd be living on Pabu, so it's not a matter of if since they've already settled down. She can cook either from a recipe or by winging it, it's certainly not grade A stuff but it's good enough. With cleaning...she can get a little lazy with it. Not to absurd extremes though.

Oh God she'd never dream of breaking it with her wife and husband but if she had to...there'd be a lot of tears on her end but she'd be very polite about it and consoling while she's like "I'm sorry things didn't work out between us...we can still be friends?" and even though she mentions still being friends it never happens cause it's too awkward for her afterwards.

Sharing his new art ideas with you as a way of showing he trusts you. But if you don't rlly like affection then Miles is more than okay with that. He shows you he cares by saying phrases of endearment, going on a nice outing (could be a date) or trying out new hobbies together.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How did your friendship start?)

You two became friends on one of his graffiti nights. He was on his break and went down to the local bodega to get a sandwich when he saw you also getting a sandwich so he asked you what you would suggest getting. You told him your regular order and he ordered that. From there the conversation flourished and he told you about his art. The beginning of a long lasting friendship (soon to become relationship???). You and Miles' friendship would be full of laughs and banter; never a dull moment when you two get together. You two go own little adventures. Might be as close as the local bodega or as far as New Jersey (which isn't that far but use ur imagination).

Miles (once he trusts you) is very comfortable with you. If he doesn't trust you/ doesn't really know you, he will seem quite distant and aloof ,but never rude, towards you. Miles shows you a lot of his art ideas as a way of showing comfortability because of how close he holds art to his heart this is his way of showing vulnerability. He also is more himself in the sense that if he has any "odd" habits, he is less afraid/ ashamed to do it in front of you. You two probably exchange music playlists or give each other movie/tv show suggestions.

I think Miles would be quite indifferent when it comes to being in a relationship (marriage etc) and having kids. But if he does get in a relationship, he would ABSOLUTELY adore his partner. He would surprise you with little gifts. Sometimes hand-made sometimes store-bought. After patrol or just a night of fighting villains, he would show up to your place with flowers and that million dollar smile and you would let him in and fix him up. Miles is good at basic house work (probably because his mum taught him from a young age). He does the dishes, laundry, cooking but can't stand doing the vacuuming because of his how sensitive his hearing is. Really good cook; do not test him when it comes to the ways of the kitchen. (He's not better than Rio though).

Miles would have to really think this through, he wouldn't just do it on a whim he would've been considering this for a long time. He might have been confident when you two started but as the time goes on, he becomes more nervous and starts beating around the bush. That is until you tell him to spit it out. He takes a deep breath and the words would rush out; by the time he finishes saying what he needs to say he is sobbing. After he gets himself together and you have comforted him, you two have a civil conversation about it. He would try and continue to be friends (and it might work) however chances are that it becomes awkward between the two of you.

F = Future (What would your future together look like? What would the aura of your relationship be like?)

You can expect your relationship to be filled with a lot of spontaneous adventures (like previously mentioned). You two value spending time with each other; this could be by just doing mundane things together like cooking, watching movies, taking a walk, you name it. It's a very chill relaxed fun-loving vibe in your relationship.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they mentally and physically?)

Miles is extremely gentle mentally. He is always there if you need consoling. Ready to show you sympathy whether that be through holding you or just being there and offering you words of encouragement (if you're opposed to physical touch). Physically Miles for the most part is very gentle however there are times where he gets over excited and forgets himself (which is always very cute to watch). He wouldn't physically harm you though during this bursts of happiness. There are times where he gets angry and might say some hurtful things. This mainly happens because he bottles up all his emotions and when it's too much, he just lets it all loose. But you are more than understanding and let him talk about his emotions. Other than that he is so gentle physically and mentally.

Miles is such a happy human being it's unbelievable and it's so contagious! Just his smile alone is enough to brighten up your whole mood. He is such a happy person that seeing any inch of sadness is enough to break your heart. If he's that happy on his own then imagines how happy he would be with you. He is so happy to hear from you through text or calls. Always looks forward to the next time you go out together.

He takes his time saying the word. He understands how it's not just something you say to any and everyone. That phrase means a lot to Miles as well. I believe that he tell you he loves you randomly but it would definitely be like a month or two into the relationship. It would slip out during an intimate moment or a moment where he is really happy. But whatever way he does it, he means it whole-heartedly and it sure does mean the world to you.

Every time a person flirts with you, it's met with exasperated breathes and dramatic eye rolls from Miles. You tease him afterwards about how jealous he was but he always denies it.

Miles' everyday kisses are sweet and quick. Usually on the lips, cheek or four head; the type of kiss you give you s/o before you leave for work. But when you and Miles are alone and feeling very passionate, deep kisses on the lip are the go-to. If it's a more steamy setting/environment, deep lip kisses and sloppy neck kisses are first choice. He loves to be kissed on the head, nose and behind the ears. Despite how oddly specific these kiss points are, he loves them. Just a sweet kiss on those places is enough to have his legs swinging back and forth.

Miles is 101% scared to confess his feeling for you to you. But he's even more afraid to confess them to himself. Being spiderman comes with a lot of risks one of them being he may loose you. If him not confessing his feelings to you keeps you alive and out of harms way, as much as it may pain him, he will do it. But lets say that the stakes aren't that high. He would probably be super nervous: he had already called you way ahead of the day of the big announcement and now he was currently waiting for you. Bouquet of your favourite flowers in hand and an envelope with a letter (he had decided that he could express his feelings for you better through written words rather than spoken). The crisp evening autumn air wisped around the both of you once you arrived. He handed you the letter with shaky hands and (unbeknownst to him) held his breath. You read the letter and once finished planted a kiss on his heated cheek. It was safe to say any tears shed that evening were of joy and relief.

Mornings with Miles (omg it rhymes :))) ) are extremely calming and and can sometimes can be giggly. I don't think they would be very common however (:( ). Miles' parents aren't extremely strict but they definitely have reasonable rules set in place when it comes to partners staying overnight or vice versa. Overall, the morning would look something like this: you would probably wake up first because lord knows that baby sleeps like a log because of all his spider activities. You go to get out of bed but immediately get dragged back in by Miles who is seemingly awake. Art Donaldson wasn’t good at pretending not to want things.

He tried, sure. He kept it cool, made jokes, shrugged it off when you teased him about the way his eyes lingered on you a little too long when you weren’t paying attention. About how he always took the side of the bed closest to the door like he needed to be the one to answer if something bad happened. How he saved you the last bite of dessert without asking, how he kept a little mental list of things you liked without ever saying it out loud.

And for months, he told himself he could just be content like this. That maybe it was too soon to ask for more. That he was desperate, really — and what if you didn’t want that? What if this was enough for you and you weren’t interested in forever, in belonging to someone the way he already belonged to you without even meaning to?

He’d been carrying the ring around in his pocket for three weeks. Not in a box, not even tucked away safely — just loose in his front jeans pocket, where his fingers brushed against it every time he reached for his keys or spare change. The stone was nothing fancy, just a modest vintage piece he found in a little pawn shop out by the old highway, something about it reminding him of you. Soft edges, old soul, stubborn shimmer even when the light hit it wrong.

He kept waiting for the perfect moment.

Some quiet evening at the lake. Or maybe when you were dancing barefoot in the kitchen again, playing some scratchy old record neither of you knew the name of. Or maybe in bed, curled against each other when the world felt small and safe, and he could look at you and say it without his voice cracking.

But it never felt right. Or maybe he was just too chicken shit. Because what if you said no? What if you hesitated?

It ate at him. God, it ate at him.

It happened on a Wednesday night, in the middle of folding laundry.

Not exactly the stuff of romantic comedy finales. The TV was on in the background, some documentary neither of you were really watching, a storm rattling against the windows. You were sitting cross-legged on the floor, sorting socks, hair falling in your face, humming under your breath. And Art looked at you — really looked at you, like his heart had been waiting for the cue to leap out of his chest and now it finally got the green light.

And without even thinking, his voice cracked open like a jar he couldn’t keep shut anymore.

“Marry me.”

You glanced up, a little frown between your brows, sock still in your hand. “What?”

His mouth opened, then closed, and for a second he looked like he might actually pass out. His hands clenched at his sides, his face flushed.

“I mean it,” he said, voice rough, eyes too soft. “Marry me. I’ve been carrying this stupid ring around for weeks, waiting for the right time, and you’re just—” He gestured helplessly toward you, sitting there in one of his old shirts, looking at him like he hung the moon and had no idea how completely you owned him. “God, I love you so much it’s pathetic. I don’t want to wait anymore.”

The air in the room shifted, like the storm outside had slipped its way inside too.

You set the sock down and stood, crossing the short distance between you. Art’s throat bobbed when you reached for his hand, your fingers brushing his. He fished the ring out of his pocket, palm shaking just a little, and held it out, the metal warm from being carried against his skin for so long.

It wasn’t a perfect proposal. No grand speeches. No candles or flowers. Just him and you, the flicker of TV light painting your faces, the scent of rain in the air.

“I love you,” you whispered, voice catching. “Yeah. Yes, Art.”

The relief in his eyes was blinding. He let out a breath like he’d been holding it for years, pulling you into a hug so tight it stole the air from your lungs. His face pressed against your neck, and you felt him smile there, against your skin.

“You’re sure?” he mumbled, words a little muffled. “Because I’ll spend my whole life making sure you don’t regret it.”

You laughed, tears stinging the corners of your eyes, burying your hands in his hair.

“I’m sure.”

That was it. No applause. No witnesses. Just two people in a little apartment, clothes in piles, hearts racing, clinging to each other like salvation.

And the thing about Art — the part you learned long before he ever slipped that ring into his pocket — was that commitment, to him, wasn’t some abstract idea. It wasn’t a word people threw around or a promise made to ease fears. It was everything. It was real and raw and terrifying, and it meant tying himself so completely to another person that it left no room for escape.

Art Donaldson loved hard. Loved like he didn’t know how to do it halfway. Always had. He pretended like he didn’t — kept up that easygoing, good-natured charm, shrugged things off with a grin and a quip — but underneath it all, he was nothing if not a boy who craved being known, being chosen.

And when it came to you, there wasn’t a single part of him that was unsure.

He’d known from the second month you’d started falling asleep on his chest, one hand fisted in the front of his t-shirt, breath warm against his collarbone. Known when you scolded him for letting his coffee get cold because he got too caught up talking about a match he barely remembered playing. Known when you learned how he liked his eggs without asking. Known when you picked out a record he hadn’t played since high school and danced around the kitchen like you belonged there.

So, yeah. He wanted to marry you fast. Probably faster than was sensible, than what people might call proper or careful. If it were up to him, he’d have taken you down to the courthouse that weekend and signed his name next to yours in shaky penmanship, hand sweating against yours the whole time. Would’ve put a ring on you before either of you had time to second guess it, before the world could crawl its way in and try to steal it.

Because commitment wasn’t something Art feared. Not with you. It was the thing he’d been chasing without even realizing it — a steady hand in the dark, a place to land, someone who made him feel like maybe he wasn’t so much a fuck-up, maybe he wasn’t doomed to be restless and lonely forever.

And now, holding you in that living room that smelled like rain and fabric softener, his fingers buried in your hair, he felt it settle in his bones. That aching, all-consuming kind of love. The kind that made him feel both safe and terrified.

“I don’t want a long engagement,” he said quietly, pulling back enough to look at you, his thumb brushing over your cheek. His expression was soft, a little unsteady, and so openly, nakedly in love it made your chest ache. “I mean… we can have whatever you want, okay? Big thing, little thing, courthouse, back yard, Vegas… hell, a barbecue with my old coach and your weird cousins for all I care. But I don’t wanna wait a year or two or whatever people say you’re supposed to do. I want to wake up next to you tomorrow and know you’re mine. I want to start our life now.”

It wasn’t desperate. It wasn’t a plea. It was just the simple, clear truth of him.

He squeezed your hand, his smile turning crooked. “I’ve been yours since the day you made me watch that dumb movie where the dog dies, and I cried so hard you had to pretend you weren’t laughing.”

You grinned, your heart spilling over, because this was what it was with Art. Not grand declarations or magazine-perfect proposals. Just this — soft, steady, flawed, and good.

“I don’t want to wait either,” you told him, and you meant it.

And he looked at you then like he could breathe again for the first time in years. Like maybe, finally, he was allowed to want something and not have it ripped away.

“Okay,” he whispered, pressing his lips to your temple. “Okay.”

And the world outside could do whatever it wanted. The storm could keep rattling the windows, and the TV could keep playing some documentary neither of you gave a damn about. Because in that moment, in a little apartment with laundry on the floor and love thick in the air, Art Donaldson made a promise to you with his whole heart.

It wasn’t a perfect life, and it never would be. But it would be yours. Together. As fast and as fierce as he could make it.

SFW Alphabet: Catcher Block (Down with Love)

shoutout to my bestie @hellsalad for being a listening ear, helpful guide when I got stuck, and general inspiration for me to keep writing 💞

A - Affection (How affectionate is he? How does he show affection?)

Catcher is very affectionate and not afraid to display it publicly. He likes walking arm in arm or with his arm around your waist. When you hold hands, he periodically kisses your knuckles making you feel like royalty.

B - Best Friend (What is he like as a best friend? Where does the friendship start?)

Being best friends with THE Catcher Block means that you can truly say that you have friends in high places. He has the hookup for all the best restaurants, sports games, and nightlife entertainment. There's always something new to do when you're with him. He's a very fun and energetic person to be around. Your friendship began at the Know Magazine office. You were a junior journalist and had the great fortune of being paired with Catcher (much to his chagrin at the time) as your mentor. The friendship had a bit of a bumpy start but you showed a lot of promise in the field and impressed him. Now, it's hard to imagine never being friends!

C - Cuddles (Does he like to cuddle? How does he cuddle?)

Absolutely! He likes when you lay your head on his chest with one leg over his. He holds one of your hands with his and his other is wrapped around you rubbing your back. He's not really into spooning as he likes to see your face.

D - Domestic (Does he want to settle down? How is he at cooking, cleaning, etc?)

He's not eager to settle down preferring instead to enjoy the relationship one day at a time. It being the 60s, he most definitely doesn't ask you to move in with him before he puts a ring on your finger. He's not a good cook and mainly eats out or has the occasional TV dinner. He hired a maid to clean his bachelor pad but still keeps things tidy on his own.

E - Ending (If he had to break up with his partner, how would he do it?)

He would take them out to dinner and rip the bandaid off. He would try to spare their feelings by saying the cliche "it's not you it's me." or get them to to think that breaking up is their idea. He doesn't want the breakup to be nasty so that the door's still open for "sex a la carte" in the future. He's not heartless though, and if the relationship was a deep one then he'd mourn the end in private just like anyone else. (Ice cream and sad movies included).

F - Fiance (How does he feel about commitment? Does he want to get married?)

Catcher avoids commitment like the plague. He likes having many lovers to choose from like a buffet and being tied down would ruin that. He's one of the most desirable and eligible men in New York so he wants to have fun while he still can. Marriage isn't something that ever interested him until he met you. He can't help but feel like the two of you could make a beautiful life together. He's not yet ready to admit these feelings to you but giving up his lifestyle of rotational lovers in favor of exclusivity with you is a start.

G - Gentle (How gentle is he both physically and emotionally)

He's a gentleman so is very gentle physically. Of course he doesn't want to hurt you and loves pampering you at every opportunity. As far as emotional gentleness, he still has some learning to do. It's not that he enjoys hurting your feelings; far from it! But he's brash, arrogant, and used to getting his way which causes him to be insensitive at times especially to things he doesn't understand.

H - Hugs (Does he like hugs? How often does he do it and what are they like?)

He's not really much of a hugger unless you consider his embraces while making out "hugs." Catch doesn't hug often but when he does he usually opts for a side hug or a brief front hug if it's a friend.

I - I Love You (how fast does he say the "L" word?)

"I love you" falls off his lips easily....a little too easily. During his philandering days it wasn't an issue for him to say it to get what he wanted. Now, getting him to say it and mean it is a whole different ball game. Vulnerability is not one of his strengths. While the love he feels for you is genuine, it's still a new feeling for him. Be prepared to wait awhile to hear him confess his love.

J - Jealousy (How jealous does he get? What is he like when jealous?)

Catcher is a jealous man through and through. A bit ironic considering his background. He keeps his cool though and doesn't make a scene. He doesn't need to. Everyone knows who he is. A steely gaze and a snide comment is enough to send a suitor packing. When the two of you go out, you're practically joined at the hip and he makes sure everyone knows you're an item with his public displays of affection.

K - Kisses (What are his kisses like? Where does he like to kiss you? Where does he like to be kissed?)

Kisses with Catch are very heated and he loves making out anytime, anywhere. He likes to kiss a trail from your mouth, down your jaw, to your neck where he lavishes you with tender kisses and gentle bites. He likes to be kissed around his ears. It's a major weakness for him. His whole suave persona crumbles when you kiss the shell of his ear. Give him a nip and nuzzle and he's putty in your hands.

L - Little Ones (How is he around kids?)

Catcher says he wants a big family one day but how he acts tells a different story. Simply put, children and Catcher don't mix. Occasionally, a young boy who looks up to him will ask for an autograph and he'll oblige. Otherwise, he's content to not interact with them. It's in the best interest of his suits after all.

M - Morning (What are mornings like with him?)

Since Catcher started his "New Man" era, he knows that he can't spend the night with you as the temptation to *ahem* get to know you "all the way better" would be too strong. Therefore, on weekdays, your mornings together start at work. If he's not traveling, you share a pot of coffee in his office before starting your hectic workday. You guys chat about how your evening was, how you slept, etc. On weekends, he picks you up to go out for breakfast or you attempt cooking together which is always a fun experience.

N - Night (How are nights spent with him?)

Catcher takes you on a date somewhere new every night! He loves the nightlife and sharing new experiences with you. Sometimes, you like to have a more calm evening by enjoying an intimate dinner before slow dancing to his extensive music collection. He always walks you back to your apartment and you end the night with a lingering kiss.

O - Open (When does he open up about himself?)

When it comes to physical intimacy, Catcher Block is bar none. But emotional intimacy? Well, he's a tough nut to crack. His debonair persona, while flashy and alluring, doesn't have much substance. He is very keen on making sure that people only know about him what he wants them to know. It takes him several weeks to get there so it's very special when he does let his guard down and shares his heart with you fully. This vulnerability usually happens in the quiet moments of life together. Sitting on the veranda watching the sunset, reading together on a rainy day, or enjoying a quiet Sunday breakfast. Moments when he doesn't have to be The Man About Town™️, just your man.

P - Patience (How easily angered is he?)

99% of the time Catcher is cool as a cucumber. The 1% of the time he gets riled up is because someone insulted his sex appeal, journaling skills, or you. At that point you might as well step out of the way and let him do what he does best: destroy the offender with an exposé.

Q - Quizzes (How much does he remember about you?)

He's capable of remembering a lot about you, however, because he's had so many partners during his playboy days, he sometimes confuses an ex's info with yours 😬.

R - Remember (Favorite memory with you?)

Catcher's favorite memory with you is of the first time your bond began to form. You got to accompany Catcher to Japan while he worked on an article. It was there that you both were introduced to karaoke by the man you were interviewing. It would be offensive to turn him down so you nervously went through with it. Turns out, Catcher is actually a good singer! The two of you grew more comfortable as the night went on and even sang several duets! Catcher was impressed with your willingness to put yourself out there for the job. Belting his heart out with you by his side felt like magic.

S - Security (How protective is he?)

He's not super protective. He knows that you can take care of yourself. If you couldn't, then you wouldn't be in the cutthroat world of journalism. Of course, that doesn't mean he won't always have your back.

T - Try (How much effort does he put in?)

Catcher is a man who believes in going above and beyond. It's how he become the best journalist in New York after all. He applies this mentality to anything he sets his mind on. Or in this case, anyone. He pulls out all the stops when wooing you and even after you start going steady. Of course, he doesn't want to seem like he's trying since that would ruin his laid back persona. But in his heart, he's genuinely eager to please.

U - Ugly (What are his bad habits?)

Let's just say that putting others first is not second nature to him. It's not that he goes out of his way to be selfish, he's just never had to share before. He's used to going where he wants and doing what he wants whenever he wants. He hasn't had a relationship deeper than a fling so thinking about how his decisions affect you doesn't really cross his mind. This also leads to another bad habit which is assuming that what he wants is also what you want.

V - Vanity (How concerned is he with his looks?)

VERY! Never a hair out of place or a wrinkle in his wardrobe. He's sexy and he knows it and you best believe he flaunts it.

W - Whole (Would he feel incomplete without you?)

He would be heartbroken if your relationship didn't work out and he does miss you when you're apart. However, he would be able to bounce back eventually though you'd always have a place in his heart.

X - Xtra (Random headcanon)

He's not quick to cry but the song "Moon River" never fails to make him misty-eyed.

Y - Yuck (Things he doesn't like in general or in a partner)

Catcher is very open to new experiences. His motto is: "I'll try anything once, twice if I like it" (wink wink). Therefore, someone who prefers living in a set routine or refuses to step outside their comfort zone isn't going to last in a relationship with him.

Z - Zzz (What is a sleep habit of his?)

He's a wild sleeper. Limbs all over the place, tossing and turning, all that jazz. He's also a blanket hog.

SFW Alphabet: Christian (Moulin Rouge!)

I was inspired to make one of these thanks to @parvulous-writings 😁 This is based on the movie version of Christian and it was really fun to imagine how I think he would act. I can totally see myself doing this again with a different character. Also, shoutout to @palfriendpatine66 and @elysabeththequeene for helping me when I got stuck 🫶. @elysabeththequeene writes a lot of Moulin Rouge fanfic btw and they're amazing! Tell me what y'all think!

A - Affection (How affectionate is he? How does he show it?)

If you look up the word affectionate in the dictionary there's just a picture of Christian. The man is SUPER affectionate! He would like nothing more than to always be within arms reach of you. As far as showing it, anything goes as long he can touch you. He likes giving and receiving subtle touches like letting your legs rest on each other while sitting or brushing hands when walking past the other.

B - Best Friend (What is he like as a best friend? Where does the friendship start?)

Christian is a very supportive and present friend. He values your opinion and asks you for advice or to read over his writing. The two of you could talk for hours about nothing in particular. You just enjoy spending time together no matter where or when. The friendship started when Toulouse invited you to have dinner with him and his friends. You and Christian didn't talk a whole lot that night but you felt a spark which only grew the more you hung out.

C - Cuddles (Does he like to cuddle? How does he cuddle?)

Of course he loves to cuddle! After a long day of work, he looks forward to decompressing by tangling his limbs in yours. He's fine with any cuddle position and especially loves laying in your lap while you stroke his face or hair.

D - Domestic (Does he want to settle down? How is he at cooking, cleaning, etc.?)

100% he wants to settle down though he's not skilled at cooking or cleaning. However, he doesn't expect you to pick up his slack. He's willing to learn so he can take care of you.

E - Ending (If he has to break up with his partner, how would he do it?)

Christian is a sensitive soul so if he had to break up with you it would tear him apart. He would agonize over the decision but ultimately would tell you face to face in private and be as gentle as possible. He would try to stay composed but would probably get misty-eyed seeing you hurt. Once he was alone, he would break down.

F - Fiance (How does he feel about commitment? Does he wanna get married?)

He is not afraid of commitment whatsoever and takes it very seriously. He is completely loyal to you and definitely wants to marry you. He's just waiting for the perfect moment to pop the question. He wants it to be magical!

G - Gentle (How gentle is he both physically and emotionally?)

Christian is the most gentle man you've ever been with. This gentleness extends to all living beings, not just the person he is dating, which endears you even more to him. He is very considerate and does things like shield you from the rain even it means he gets wet, or massage your feet after a tiring work day. Emotionally, he is great listener and always wants you to feel safe talking to him about your troubles.

H - Hugs (Does he like hugs? How often does he do it and what are they like?)

Christian is a hugger for sure! Greetings, goodbyes, comfort, celebration, you name it, he does it any chance he gets. He likes to engulf you in bear hugs and always rubs your back before pulling away. His body is soft so his hugs feel like you're sinking into a pillow.

I - I Love You (How fast does he say the "L" word?)

Pretty quickly, nor does he try to hide when he falls in love with you. He wears his heart on his sleeve. Once he knows that he loves you, he doesn't have a problem saying it.

J - Jealousy (How jealous does he get? What is he like when jealous?)

He's not an especially jealous man. He's very secure in his relationship with you and trusts you entirely. If he ever does feel a twinge of jealousy it's usually because one too many wealthy suitors have flirted with you. He knows that you can have someone more rich and successful than he is and he wonders if you'd be happier with someone who could give you the life he wishes he could. Luckily, it's not difficult to reassure him that your heart belongs to him alone.

K - Kisses (What are his kisses like? Where does he like to kiss you? Where does he like to be kissed?)

His kisses are passionate and a bit inept. He is new to the whole love thing after all. His lips are silky soft and he always kisses you like you're water in a desert no matter how brief the kiss. He loves to cup your cheeks and kiss your forehead. His favorite place for you to kiss him is, well, his lips lol.

L - Little Ones (How is he around children?)

He's very good with children and they pretty much flock to him! He would love to be a father one day.

M - Morning (What are mornings like with him?)

Mornings are a quiet affair. He wakes up early when he's working on a show and gets ready for the day as quiet as possible so as not to wake you. You wake up anyway, if just to give him a sleepy "have a good day" before falling back into slumber. When he doesn't have to rush off to rehearsal then you enjoy coffee and the morning paper together.

N - Night (How are nights spent with him?)

If mornings are quiet then nights are the exact opposite. The two of you make a mess in the kitchen while cooking dinner and singing all the while. Sometimes, you catch the latest moving picture at the theatre or dance the night away at the Moulin Rouge. When it's time for bed, you catch each other up on the day's events while snuggled close. You often awake alone in the middle of the night to find Christian frantically typing away on his typewriter, desperate to get his sparks of inspiration on paper before they disappear. You kiss him on the cheek and he guides you to sit on his lap while he writes. A cute gesture which never works well for long.

O - Open (When does he open up about himself?)

To reiterate, Christian wears his heart on his sleeve. He doesn't really have any secrets. If you want to know anything about him, just ask, and he'll be happy to answer. He's also a great conversationalist so he volunteers information about himself pretty naturally.

P - Patience (How easily angered is he?)

He's not quick to anger at all. Since he's a writer, he'd rather use words to solve conflicts.

Q - Quizzes (How much does he remember about you?)

Everything! Not just the things you tell him directly either. He pays close attention to what you say and do. You're constantly surprised by the little ways he brightens your day all because of a random comment he remembers you making .

R - Remember (What's his favorite memory with you?)

It's impossible for him to choose his favorite memory with you for they are all dear to him. One memory that holds particular fondness for him though is from early on in your friendship. He was working on a song and softly singing it to himself. You were sitting next to him and you laid your head on his shoulder like it was the most natural thing to do. You said you liked the feeling of his voice vibrating. Your touch made his heart feel like it would burst out of his chest. He knew in that moment that you were going to have a special place in his life.

S - Security (How protective is he?)

He has an average level of protectiveness. Of course he doesn't want his loved ones to be hurt or taken advantage of. If he feels like that is happening then he'll do what he can to remedy the situation.

T - Try (How much effort does he put in?)

For Christian, there's no such thing as too much effort. He's a sincere man who loves wholeheartedly. He would walk a thousand miles on his hands just to see you smile.

U - Ugly (What are his bad habits?)

He needs to dial back on the absinthe.

V - Vanity (How concerned is he with his looks?)

Not very. His looks are important to him only as much as they affect you. If he knows that he's going to see you then he primps and preens so you'll hopefully like what you see. (You always do)

W - Whole (Would he feel incomplete without you?)

What is a singer without their voice? Or a house without a roof? That is Christian without you. You are the very air he breathes.

X - Xtra (Random headcanon)

He likes when you read to him. Even when he's taking a bath, he'll ask you to sit with him and read a story.

Y - Yuck (Something he doesn't like in general or in a partner)

He doesn't like pessimists. He's a very optimistic person and people who constantly tear down others' dreams or can't find the good in anything aren't people he associates with.

Z - Zzz (What is a sleep habit of his?)

He receives a lot of inspiration from his dreams and keeps a dream journal.

Alex never really shows affection in the conventional or typical sense. He’s not particularly one for PDA, such as hugs in front of others or kisses in public. He’ll lay with you on the couch though, and of course sleeps by your side- in your bed or in his. There are a few instances when he’ll be affectionate in front of others- like if either of you are really upset, or if you’re watching a movie with Juliet and David. 

B - Best Friend (What would they be like as a best friend? Where does the friendship start?)

Alex can be a little bit annoying sometimes.Well, not sometimes. Most of the time. He tries to be nice, in his own Alex-y way. He would take the mickey out of you and joke around a lot, but despite this he would always be there to be a shoulder to lean on or just someone that listens to you.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Alastor is definitely very affectionate with you. Even if he was shy about it at first and refrained himself from giving too much.

But he never shows this side of him in front of others.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

It's definitely nice to have Moody as a friend. He's a really great listener and will have your back at any time. With the tough life he had, he'll be able to give you meaningful advice.

Paranoid as he is, earning his trust to be called his friend or best friend is a real challenge but gives you the best reward.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Alastor is really a cuddler. Having you in his arms is a feeling that he can't describe. It makes him happy and feel strong. Feeling that you're perfectly protected right there with him. But no one knows, except you.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Moody had a tough and stressful life. Since you entered his life, you have brought happiness and sweetness in it. All he can dreams of now if to keep you forever. He would really want to settle down with you in his house and just live a peaceful life.

Being that paranoiac, he's used to cooking for himself, and now he can make some really good dishes. But if you want anything sweet, you'll have to do it yourself. He really can't bake any cakes of any sort.

About cleaning, Moody really likes to have a clean and organized house. He's not a freak, but he prefers it. And his mom raised him well, so you'll split the chores fairly.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

It'll be for your own safety. And he'll not let you a choice, even threatening to obliterate you. You needed to be safe, even if it broke both of your hearts. In front of you he'll keep a composed face. But later, alone in his house, he'll cry.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Just like settling down, now that he has you he'll really want to keep you. And the idea of you being his wife always warms his heart.

But he'll take a while to propose, even if he has a ring. Alastor would be really unsure about himself and would always ask himself why such a beautiful person like you would be with him. And your safety would also be a huge concern of him.

Eventually he'll manage to shut these thoughts down and just ask you.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

With you, Alastor is always gentle. Even if he's always rough and tough with people, with you he's just the sweetest. He cares so much for you, how could he be anything else ?

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

Alastor is your personal teddy bear and you love being wrapped in his arms. In his big bear embrace, you feel protected.

At first he'll be somewhat flustered after it as he didn't want you to think he was weak. But this stupidity didn't last long when you told him how much you liked it.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

It would take some time for him to say it. Not because he didn't think it, but because he knew that once he'd told you that, he wouldn't be able to let you go. For him it's a serious thing to do.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Alastor can't help himself but being a jealous man. Being insecure about himself and thinking you deserve better, he can be easily jealous.

He'll never ask for you to stop talking to some people but if you two are early in the relationship, he have the bad habit of distancing himself from you. As your relationship grows, his self confidence did too and he'll just step between you and the person to make them understand that you're not free. (And maybe they were cursed...)

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Alastor is so much of a great kisser. He doesn't do it often tho. You'll usually have to ask him for it, but he'll gladly oblige. A short but deep kiss is what he prefers.

Being significantly taller than you, he likes to kiss you on your forehead.

And even if he'll never say it out loud, he loves when you kiss him in his scars on his cheek. It makes him all fuzzy and blush when you do it.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Moody always thinks that he's terrible with little kids and that they'll get scared by his scars. But when he lighten up, he's really good with them. Telling them stories about his auror's life, riding with them on his broom,... Kids love him.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Mornings with Alastor are full of sweetness. He'll just hug you tight, wanting to lie down in bed with you forever.

When you two finally get up, he'll be especially soft with you. Helping you to brush your hair, gently kissing you every time you're within reach...

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

The night are as sweet as the mornings but with some *passion* added. And after that, you two would snuggle in his bed until you both fall asleep.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

It will takes time for him to start revealing things about himself. Even when you're already dating, he'll might get reluctant to tell you anything.

You don't pressure him to do so and you usually work with what you've noticed. And he's thankful for that.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

With you, he's anything but patient. Even when you get reckless, he can't get mad at you.

People jokingly told you that he's unfair because he gets angry so easily with everyone else.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

Being a great listener, he'll remember every little things you tell him. From which cup you drink you coffee in, to what's your favorite perfume or what's your favorite book.

When you notice that he uses this, your heart melt.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

It wasn't a particularly special day. You two were invited to Molly's house to eat. When it was getting late, you slightly yawned and turned to him. You said that you were tired and that you should go home.

You used the word "home" to describe his house. You weren't officially living there, and Alastor hasn't had the guts to ask you. So hearing that just melted his heart. You were comfortable enough with him to call a place that wasn't yours, your home. Meaning you wanted to have a home with him...

It might sound silly, but to him, it was a precious moment.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

AHAH it's Mad Eye Moody. You couldn't be more protected by anyone. Your safety is his number one priority.

He taught you occlumency and how to properly duel in case he wasn't there.

He'll also prevent you from doing anything that might be dangerous, even if you assure him that you'll be safe. It leads to some petty fight between the two of you.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

Alastor always gives you the most thoughtful gifts. He somehow always knows what you'll love the most. He doesn't often offer you a big thing, keeping it for an anniversary or Christmas etc.

At first, he didn't do it because it flustered him to show you how much you meant to him. But now, on dates or just out of the blue, he's most likely to give you something small but really thoughtful. Like buying your favorite tea or a book that you've told him about.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

A bad habit of him would be how his paranoia and constant vigilance might hurt you sometimes. He can get stressed and might be too harsh with you or sometimes prevent you from doing normal life things without asking.

He really doesn't want to hurt you but can't help himself.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

While he's not concerned about his clothes or hair or anything like that, he knows what he looks like. Alastor finds himself ugly, even monstrous sometimes because of his scars. He's lived with it for years now, so his thoughts about it are less bad, but he'll never find himself handsome or anything.

Handsome is a term that you often use to describe him with such honesty that he really doesn't understand how you can ever think that. But you really do. He's your handsome man.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Since you entered his life, you'd take an important place in it. To the point that he couldn't imagine his life without you now.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

Physical touch is perhaps his favorite love language. Keeping a hand on you back when you're with other people, massaging your shoulders whenever you're stressed about something, stroking your hairs when you lie down on his legs on the couch,... Being so touch starved for such a long time, he seems to always have a hand on you nowadays.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

Alastor couldn't be with someone with a bad moral. Like someone who hurts people for fun or their own benefits. He just couldn't.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habit of theirs?)

Alastor is an insomniac. Due to his mental health, his constant paranoias and his nightmares, he usually has terrible sleep. If he just can't sleep, he'll watch you until he finally falls asleep.

Sometimes his nightmares wake you up too. In these moments, he's filled with shame and anger for letting you see this part of him.
