So i might get some hate about this but at this point idfc im so tired

Unpopular opinion but, can we PLEASE bring back to OG definition of proshippers?? I feel like people changed the definition when getting into fandoms became more "mainstream" (HEAVY quotation marks).

Before you comment allow me to educate you. A proshipper is someone who is into shipping in fandom originally created from x-files in the 90s (this website has more information but thats just a long story short definition)

Technically the people you dont want interacting with your profile is someone who is a darkshipper (even thats fucking pushing it). If youre curious (this might get me some hate but again idfc) Im a Comshipper (for me im more into the complicated/complex relationships such as unhealthy attachments and toxic relationships but i do love me some fluff)

While yes i can see where proship can mean Problematic ships but again thats what a darkship is. Its its own thing. I just wish that people didnt change the meaning of something thats been established SINCE THE FUCKING 90s. And seem to completely forget that meaning, like??

I understand the weirdos that ship weird shit, i have my fair share of ships i dislike. But personally as a Comshipper i have a nuance perspective on my ships that are like that, i understand it may not be healthy but i understand WHY its unhealthy and know not to do that or look for that (boo istg dont mention my love life rn)

This needed to be said as someone who has a friend who is an OG definition of proshipper. But i will be a safe space (as long as you arent weird) for anyone. Anyways rant over, again please do some research or look at the link (<- same link just added again) i provided before leaving a comment.

Ok i started reading and watching Bungou Stray Dogs and for the longest time i legit thought that Dazai was the main character not Atsushi. Every content ive seen and even an ex friend i had NEVER talked about Atsushi. I heard his name every now and then but never thought he was the MC! How the hell does the main get outshined by Dazai?!

Dont get me wrong great character I understand the hype around him but come onnnnn. Not even Izuku gets this treatment AND THATS SAYING SOMETHING because some people HATE MHA

If someone in the fandom/has read or watched it for a while can explain why its like this I will say i am only on volume two and episode 10 of season one so things may change. But i really just wanna know how the MC got overshadowed by the side characters

Im so glad im a multi shipper id be so fucking bored just shipping Mephistopheles and Raphael.

Dont get me wrong Mephistopheles/Raphael enemies then they move to have a neutral opinion of each other? Eating it up. And theyre literally on eachothers design sheet??

But come onnnnn

Mephistopheles and Lucifer? Thats honestly a given like... They fucking hate each other of course theyre shipped together.

Mephistopheles with satan? Theyre literally in the same club and hate Lucifer. What more is perfect!

Mephistopheles and Mammon? Oh where would i begin with that, Some broke man with little to manners with a (maybe) richer than diavolo duke that hates bad manners? Give me an entire 20 chapter fic

And Mephistopheles and Diavolo? Come on... Thats a given do i need to explain?

Then of course the option of Mephistopheles, Lucifer AND Diavolo? Omg please i need them fighting over each other i can 100% see Lucifer and Mephistopheles fight over Diavolo. Then diavolo and Mephistopheles fight over Lucifer like YOU KIDDING ME???

And being a multi shipper is RARE??? Damn i have way to much fun with this

I need everyone here to know that I have used the obey me wiki (offical) so much that its now a frequently visited tab on my safari

(Yes my safari wallpaper is mammon cry about it. My wallpaper is also obey me themed try me)

How you may ask? Ill tell you. Character relationships (for ships and normal relationships), lore information that i cant remember, surprise guest, card images for edits, figuring out what they like, making references to the game and making sure im doing it correctly, making sure my lore is accurate and im writing characters accurate and more... I have issues

Now you may be asking "why not look in the game or the manga" do you think i have the patience to log into Nightbriner, go to the cronicals, and go through lessons and lessons of information to find something about the ring of light i reference a few times in my series? Absolutely not

I should might as well marry the wiki at this point

Ok i need to seriously talk about this for a quick second. As silly as i think it is, Barbatos is 100% a better butler than Sebastian michaelis (and better looking but i have grown so numb to his face that i just find it revolting probably a very hot take but idgaf)

Now could my feelings be because my ex made me rp Sebastian as this kind and caring individual for someone he 100% would find absolutely annoying and a pest to be around (that was also the complete opposite of how that Character acts but i digress). Probably its a high Posibility, but i didnt like him before so its probably not that so.

Now keep in mind i am aware they rebooted the anime (ive only really seen a part of season one and the full of the circus series and volume one of the manga so my information may not be fully accurate but i do know how the anime ends)

So onto my rant

The main difference between Sebastian and Barbatos to me is Barbatos ACTUALLY CARES. While yes they are both demons who likes tea and have childish (one more then the other) "masters" Barbatos actually cares about Diavolos well being. It is stated MULTIPLE TIMES. He not only trusts him very deeply but it brings him joy that he takes care of Diavolo. And if Diavolo ever called upon him hes there. To me he acts almost in loco parentis (Latin in place of parent) to Diavolo. Again he actually cares.

Correct me if im wrong but didnt Sebastian not show up until the last second when saving Ciel... Multiple times? And hasnt he stated multiple times that he only wants Ciels soul? He doesn't actually care about Ciel.

Now Barbatos not only cares about Diavolo he cares about others. Seen multiple times with Luke, Lucifer, and MC to name a few. Oh Jesus where do i start with Sebastian with caring about others. My guy is the definition of "i dont care about you" prime example is Grell and Beast. Dont even get me started on Beast!

Again please correct me if im wrong, i will admit i may be wrong and i tried to find something but the obey me wiki has spoiled me and if i look in the manga or rewatch the anime i will vomit if i look at Sebastians face. And i may be a bit bias because i do love Barbatos and Sebastian leaves an extremely bad taste on my tongue.
