Instead of bringing Lisa or She for show n tell, I brought the doll that Huggy gave me! All of my classmates were really interested in where I got it from. I told them my friend Huggy gave me it! Monty wanted to study my Huggy doll, but I kept it so I could play dolls with Carla and Penny! Ms. Applegate said she had something from the same toy company when she was a little girl. The toy she had was a red dinosaur toy named Bron! I wonder if she still has it? Maybe I can take it back to Huggy and cat bee… maybe I should ask. Another thing, Penny’s Auntie, the nice lunch lady, said she still has the pink Huggy Wuggy from when she was our age. A pink Huggy? There’s a pink Huggy?! Is that supposed to be Huggy’s girlfriend?! Or maybe his sissy?! I didn’t know that! That’s so cool!

Turns out a lot of the teachers here have toys from Huggy’s Factory. Even the super old Janitor had a toy from there! Huggy and his friends must be SUPER old! I wonder how old?

I spent most of the school day telling my friends my adventures at the factory, Penny says she wants to go! Maybe I can take her! I think Huggy and Cat Bee would like her. I’ll have to ask them! I hope they say yes!

I don't really have much to add here. I love Kathleen appeared again and she was able to handle Teddy perfectly. They are just so cute together and I would love to see more of them always!

Sometimes what’s important isn’t that you have the same interests as your partner, but that you take interest in your partner’s interests, and respect those interests - even if they’re the thing that kills them.

Kathleen’s pallet change will take some time getting used to, but I’ll personally be saying that she got her hair colored and started a new skincare regimen with the though of reeling Teddy in ^^;;

I love the parallels here! Like Teddy, I could also see Tina nearly self-sabotaging a perfectly good relationship with Zeke because she has been so used to being in unhealthy relationships, like with Jimmy Jr for example. She's not used to being in a healthy, stable relationship without fear of future drama that she would begin to overthink ways she could screw it up with Zeke.

Though, as long as Tina doesn't cower away from talking about her fears with Zeke, I believe Zeke is able to work it out with her. She learns that love, like cooking, doesn't need to have it always on full-blast heat. Sometimes you need to have it on low heat for it to be done right. Sure, it may be boring sometimes having to wait for it, but in the end, the results turn out more beautiful than they would have if you tried to always cook at a passionately high temperature. Zeke would definitely be full of surprises, but he won't always be the most romantic or artistic as Tina would hope for. However, what Zeke would provide is worth more than any romantic gesture, the security to be fully herself without the fear of abandonment. So she realizes she loves the slow-cook romance she has with Zeke over the highly intense heat she hoped for in her fantasies. Zeke won't always be as romantic as Tina would hope for but he will always be her port in a storm and she'll realize that is something she wants more than a passionate, drama-filled romance. Also, I can see Tina calling Zeke and saying, "Hi Zeke, it's Tina from dating." That was my highlight quote from that episode XD

I’ve come to a strange realization:

The love triangle situation between Teddy, Helen and Kathleen is weirdly similar to… Tina, Jimmy Jr and Zeke?!

Firstly, let’s look at Tina and Teddy. The two have more in common than you’d think!

-Both believe in things like fate and cosmic forces -Have a tendency to daydream, concocting wild and at times bizarre fantasies about those they fancy -Have personality traits that can be A Little Much for some people -Forget about personal boundaries when worked up -Are socially awkward and bad at reading the room -Cling to things they treasure -Wear blue -Have names that start with T See, look at that mountain of intersecting attributes!!

And now, the contenders.

Like Jimmy Jr, Helen is tall, blonde, conventionally attractive, and comfortable financially. She is nice to Teddy in varying degrees, sometimes sweet and playful, sometimes awful. The deciding factor in her niceness seems to be how useful Teddy can be to her in the moment, much like JJr only approaching Tina when it suits him especially well. Teddy is endlessly smitten with the beautiful but two-faced Helen, much as Tina is with JJR’s perfect bottom.

Kathleen on the other hand is a bit more on the average side with her stout figure and brown hair. Sound familiar? She also has an accent, is a bit sloppy, less than wealthy, knows her way around a joke, enjoys a bit of sports… Although she’s far more subdued, the similarities to Zeke are definitely there! And like Zeke, she’s also quite a nice person person overall - tentatively offering to share her food with the Belcher kids and showing concern for Teddy’s well being despite not knowing him very well.

Ever the romantic (like Teddy!!) Tina picks up on their chemistry right away, and insists that Teddy doesn’t need a rich beautiful princess, but just a nice lady that fits him right. Now if only she could apply that to herself…

But wait, there’s more!

Along with the mirrored triangles themselves, there are some other fun things to note regarding the general episodes in which developments are made.

For instance, Season 5 is when we first meet Helen. Season 5 also contains some interesting episodes for Tina and Zeke’s dynamic, such as Midday Run and The Oeder Games. Then in Season 9 we meet Kathleen, and get great episodes such as UFO No You Didn’t and Yes Without My Zeke. While it’s less substantial, I just find it interesting that the episodes containing key moments in Teddy’s love life were released alongside episodes involving Tina’s love life. Come Season 10 Helen is out of the picture, and Teddy is revealed to be seeing Kathleen more frequently in All That Gene. And now in Season 13, the relationship has progressed to steady dating, where Kathleen is asking Teddy out on long day trips. Pretty intimate! I wish them nothing but happiness.

Now, I don’t think Teddy’s switch from a hopeless crush on Helen to a happy, healthy relationship with Kathleen is intended to be a hint towards Tina’s future… but if the writers were hinting at something then I would have nothing but respect for them!!

it had been a trying few months. while halloween had offered a bit of reprieve in teddy's ability to melt into someone else through Rocky, with the holidays approaching it was harder to distract themself from the fact that everything was different. their mom was gone; how could they really even begin to think about celebrating christmas without her? yet, there was still the urge to; the urge to decorate, the excitement to sit on their balcony to watch the macy's thanksgiving day parade; the incessant need to drag matt to rockafeller plaza for ice skating. it was all there, swirling inside them as it always did when the weather dropped a few degrees and the trees started to die.

but then teddy gets the urge to bake christmas cookies with her, and then they're guilty. because how dare they want to celebrate without such a crucial piece of their puzzle?

so, as a result, house hunting had become their latest excuse to pretend that everything was perfectly fine and normal. the blond wasn't thrilled to be giving up their home, especially knowing that finding a place with matt would inevitably mean downsizing to a degree, but they understood feeling as though you were a guest in your own home. matt felt as though the space was teddy's and teddy's alone; that he just lived there, so it really only made sense to find a place they could settle on together.

they'd looked at a handful of places, but this one seemed the most promising. it wasn't too far away from the university or family, plus is was spacious, and open, with a lot of natural light coming from windows in even the most impossible places. once the realtor stepped out so the pair could discuss, they stepped into his orbit, settling their chin on his right shoulder from behind as they gazed at the view of Central Park.

❝ well? it's not bad, right? ❞

green hues lit up with amusement as kendall spoke, their lips setting in a pkayful smirk. ❝ me? a band? ❞ they asked, lifting their shoulder in a small shrug. ❝ i don't know, kenny. that's a lot of commitment, and there could be fighting with people you're supposed to respect. you know we don't like a fight that can't constitute throwing hands, where's the fun in that? ❞ they flashed him a bright smile, teeth on full display before follwing his gaze towards the people milling around them. ❝ you, though. you should start a band, with all your charisma and likability. i don't know why you're not in this corset, waving your goods for the city to see. ❞

the rocky horror picture show was perhaps kendall's favorite part of the halloween season. the buzzing energy of a crowd was addicting, especially when he was able to be a part of it. strength in numbers or whatever. he brushed the thought away as he finally stopped in front of his bandmate.

" fantastic job as always, teddy, " he grinned. " almost like you're on stage for a damn living. maybe you could start a band. " he glanced around, before his eyes settled back on teddy. " completely forgot you were you during the show. it's truly impressive."

teddy couldn't decide if they loved or hated this part of the night. on one hand, they were basking in attention. the rocky horror picture show as a halloween tradition, but it seemed as though the crowd of people that liked to fill the park each october had quadrupled in size since they first joined the shadow cast all those years ago. plus, rocky - being the titular character and all - was the one most people wanted a picture with, so the blond was truly the center of attention; at least, in their own world.

on the other hand, the people pushing towards the stage for the meet & greet meant show was over for the night. there was only one more weekend until halloween, which meant only two more shows to bask in all this glory and then it would be back to normal. granted, their normal was a little bit more attention getting than average, but that didn't mean they couldn't always go for more. still, they thought to themself as the next person approached them to speak, it would be nice to get out of this itchy thing. i'll have to see about getting a new corset, maybe something a little more high-end.
