Hi everyone! Just figured I'd come on and say I have to unfortunately stop using this account. I've gotten a new phone and I don't remember the password to this account so I won't be able to log in on my new phone. I've tried changing my password and the email attached to this account but you need your password to change those which I do not have. I'm sure there's a solution to this but I honestly just figure making a new account will be easier. If you enjoy my contributions to the fandoms I have partaken in then I will repost this post on the new account. I will have probably made it by tomorrow. Hell I just want them to actually adapt the ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ books — that biz was EPIC.

I'll say it before and I'll say it again:

You could make a beautiful HTTYD book adaptation through a one-season 2D animated TV show. The charming, childlike whimsy, the quirky dragons, the wonderfully weird world, the epic larger-than-life scenes and characters, all this screams 2D animation as the best adaptation. That would capture the tone, the heart (Cowell's illustrations!!), the imagination. Most books would be a single episode. The last few books would be two. Don't drag the story out, don't bog it down with unnecessary additions, but tell it in precisely the amount of space it needs to be told. Don't try to realism anything. Let the world be itself and let the magic shine.

That moment when they bodyswap and Bodkin has the sudden realisation that Xar is in crippling pain all the time because of his hand but still tries to joke around and make people laugh and he literally never mentions that the whole time he's in agony.

I adore the httyd books with a passion but I honestly think twoo is a tiny bit better. My opinion on this does vary but most of the time I truly think twoo had so much to offer. And that's not to say httyd doesn't have as much to offer, I just liked the aesthetic of twoo so much because of all the whimsical magic fairytale vibe. But twoo had so much to offer and no one really acknowledges it. And a lot of the time when they do acknowledg it httyd creeps it's way into the conversation. I think twoo was a beautiful book but it's so underrated it's honestly wild to me.

Something I love about the wizards of once is that there's no actual reason for Wish being dyslexic. Like, that's just the way she is. And it's cool because in books like Percy Jackson the characters are dyslexic because they're demi gods and their dyslexia actually comes with the benefit of reading ancient Greek but Wish's dyslexia doesn't come with benefits, she doesn't gain anything from it and she just straight up can't read no matter what she does or what language she reads in and I love how accurate that representation is.

Percy Jackson was still great dyslexic rep tho

I'm shit at remembering and I haven't finished the series but has Cressida Cowell actually described him as having blonde hair and blue eyes? Because I genuinely can't believe that

One of the things I live about tumblr is that uts literally amazing for all my fandom needs. Like, you could have the rarest hyperfixation ever and there will be an entire community for it on tumblr filled with fanart, fanfics, rambles, info dumps, theories and memes. I love tumblr.
