Currently continuing writing a boyslove story for my own little collection of my writing progress. (I started this story over a year ago and got the courage to finally keep on writing.) I'm at the part where the hero has to fight his most important villain, smth about his past(he's already together with the former villain hihi) and I'm obsessed with the sentence of the villain, I-
"So you still want to fight Mr. Zhedus. .. Then I'll be glad to finally bring you down on your knees and beg to stay alive.."
You know the feeling when you shouldn't fall in love with the villain? Oops.

Update 1 on that small butcher vanity x dead plate project:
There are already quite a lot of scrapped ideas since i imagined some parts of the animation that could not fit the plot or characters (from my pov at least) but they aren't deleted since i could also post some of them when i can't update the project
I've planned the whole project by trying to list stuff i'll need and all steps i'll follow in order to not get lost like all the other times i've tried to make a project
I also managed to download some voicebanks and synthv studio in case i was going to make a cover of it, but none of them sounded like Vincent (spoiler about the project: that guy is the focus of the animation) so i'll continue to try to tune stuff up or download other stuff, you guys can also give me recommendations btw
Right now I am making the storyboard, and it's pretty far from being done to be honest, but i am happy with how it's taking form!
I should make it to the first chorus in the next update, though it still depends on how much work i need to do before i can continue the project ;-;
And before you ask, yes i am making the storyboard in GIMP, yes i am suffering cause it keeps crashing when i use the text tool, and yes i also know it isn't supposed to be an art program, but i am gonna survive this somehow!
Hand Sewn Three- Tiered Maxi Skirt- Part 3

Update on the skirt!
In part 2, I cut the seam allowance that connects the waistband and the first tier too short, so I decided to cut a strip of fabric to sandwich them between to make it look nice and prevent fraying.
I cut it about an inch and a half in width and ironed down the folds that I wanted.
I MADE SURE the iron was on the synthetic setting! No more melted fabrics here!
I first folded it in half, ironed that down and then folded the ends to meet in the middle on that fold.
Then I ironed that middle fold once more so it stayed. I ended up with a significantly thinner strip like this.
Here I'm just showing the length comparison. I cut it a bit longer than the waistband so I had extra to work with.
I cut the seams down again so they looked less jacked and would fit between the strip.
Then I pinned it down. This part was surprisingly easy!
I sewed it down using a running stitch and now I have a nice, clean if a little bulky seam!
Next update is the sewing of the second tier of the skirt!

So this took so much longer than expected because Mistakes started happening 🥲
So, I finished sewing the waistband and it was perfect! Then I started with the two tier-one panels next.
I drew on the seam allowance to use as guidelines because I can't sew straight to save my life.
I sewed the two panels together to make one long panel and I tried to iron the seam allowance to make it easier to fold.
😬😬😬🙃🙃🙃🫣🫣🫣
Unfortunately, my fabric is polyester and my iron was on the cotton setting. It got shrunk and burned and I couldn't salvage it.
Thankfully, I was able to buy more fabric after work the next day! I cut out the tier-one panels again and securely pinned down the seams so I could sew them. I folded them in half and sewed them to each other with a sitch I don't know the name of, but kinda looks like a blanket stitch at first glance.
Here comes the incredibly hard part: pinning the tier to the waistband.
I confused myself for a while and I wasn't sure which side I was supposed to pin it on 🥲 It took me two days to figure out 🥲🥲🥲
I also had trouble lining everything up and kept pinning the tier too far away from the stitching of the waistband. I finally figured it all out though and got to sewing.
I sewed right next to the stitching of the waistband so it looks flush. That's two, more or less neat rows of running back stitches!
Here's the other side, showing the gathering.
Here's how perfect the front looks! You can't tell that I struggled with this at all!
And here's the seam allowance that joins the two panels again. I thought it would look better smaller, so I undid the stitches, cut the seam allowance in half, folded it in half and sewed it all together again.
I tried to do the same with the seam allowance between the waistband and tier, but... 😬😬😬🫣🫣🫣
I cut them a bit too short... among other things. Instead, I'm going to cut a strip of fabric and sandwich the seam allowance between it.
It was a good thing after all that I had to buy that extra fabric!

Heyo! I'm back with a new sewing project and this one will (hopefully) be a garment that I plan to wear often.
I'm handsewing it, again because I don't really know how to handle a modern sewing machine and because I want the satisfaction that completing this will bring me.
It's also an easy project to start off with!
I'm making one of these!
A three-tiered maxi skirt!
I've been wanting one for a while and decided to get some fabric and make one.
I looked up some tutorials on YouTube, figured out the math
and drew my final pattern onto brown paper.
I have a waist band, which is the length of my hips. It was going to be a wide band at first, but I bought thinner elastic because I had a brain fart. You'll see in a few that I had to significantly shrink the width.
For tiers 1 and 2, I chopped the measurements in half and for tier 3 which is suuuupppper long, I had to quarter the measurement to fit it on the paper.
I had juuuuuusssst enough fabric to get all my pieces:
-1 piece for the waist band
-2 pieces for tier 1
-2 pieces for tier 2
-4 pieces for tier 3
I'm 5"1' and on the smaller side overall. I got three yards of fabric. I suggest you double that if you're taller and/or wider.
This is how thin my waist band will now be. The elastic is about 3/4 inch. I originally made this waist band to be about 2 inches and I had to cut off the seam allowance from that. I still have a generous amount left just in case I may need to widen it (hopefully not!)
I accidentally started sewing this like a left-hander, so when the thread is done, I'll start on the other side so I can finish this faster 😆
My very first cosplay!
In 2017 when I was a huge Steven Universe fan and made a whole lot of gemsona OCs!
I dressed up as my Star Sapphire OC called Taurus ♉🐂✨
My dress was literally hot-glued together because I despised using our modern sewing machine (I still do)
I didn't have much money as a uni student that didn't work, so I DIYed a lot of the accessories, like the horns and the gem with whatever I had on hand.
I can't remember where I got the flowers, but I know they were free and I already had the perfect shoes! You can't see it very well, but they have cute little leaf gems on them.

I'll be doing my second and third cosplay this year as I'm going to two cons! They're both Danny Phantom-inspired!
This one will be my closet cosplay with a few extras. I've been documenting it for Tumblr and you can find what I've done so far here.

Multi-Blue Granny Square Crochet Maxi-Skirt Update #0

I'm crocheting a granny square maxi skirt!
If my calculations are correct I need to make 72 of these.
My hip measurement is 36 inches and the length I want is 32.
I divided both by 4 because my squares are 4 x 4 inches.
36 ÷ 4 = 9 32 ÷ 4 = 8
8 X 9 = 72
This is going to be a 2 coloured project (still need to get the 2nd colour of yarn) so I'll be dividing the 72 in half. That means I have to make 36 of each colour.
3 down, 33 more to go!
I'm also lining this skirt, but I want to wait until I get the next yarn colour so I can decide on a good colour for it.
Added the colour! I wanted her to be cute and candy coloured but still matchy.

So I'm focusing on 'Time Warp' and fleshing out some of the antagonist characters. I realised they were just mean for being mean and it wouldn't make sense why they're targeting the protagonists.
This has me thinking about if I should include their POVs in the story because I wrote a whole page about why one of the characters decided to prank them and how they felt about it.
This story also has supernatural elements working in the background and I'm having fun coming up with different ways it communicates with them.
Once I have all the characters fully formed (to my standards) I'll show you guys some art!
Novel Length Ideas I'm Working On!
So now that I know how to plan my stories, I'm planning them!
I bought some of those clear folders that you can just slip your papers through to organize everything and I have a folder for each.
I've had many, many, many stories over the years, but these are the ones I've decided to focus on.

Diary of an Ex-Witch
A recent idea (like a week old or so) Was definitely inspired by reading the Bible and understanding a few things about GOD a bit better.
Time Warp/ Rewind
Name is pending. This is an idea I had when I was 17 and I absolutely HAVE to write this! Especially since I've gotten so many new ideas for it! It will be about two 3rd formers (13 to 14-year-olds) who mysteriously travel back in time to the week before they were cruelly pranked by their peers.

This was a story idea from when I was 15, heavily inspired by my favourite series at the time, N.E.R.D.S by Michael Buckley (I still have and read all the books to this day!)

This story grew in originality as I got older and it went from being about exceptional kid spies (veeeerrrry similar to N.E.R.D.S) to regular kids unintentionally caught up in the secrets and drama of the hidden. I'm still working on organising my thoughts for this one, especially since I plan for it to be a trilogy.
I do plan to work on some short stories, both to share with you and to exercise my writing muscles. I may also share some snippets of writings based on these novel-length ideas. I find that writing shorts featuring your characters are a good way to get to know them.

This was part of my final assignment for the writing course I took in 2022.
The project was a book framework where we did a basic outline for a story. We had to outline a whole book, from the copyright page to acknowledgements and all.
It was quite helpful actually! I would have never thought to do something like that in the planning stages.
This was for my potential novel-length story called 'Reluctant Jamette'. It's about a young woman unwillingly given these demonic powers around the same time her part of the country is being attacked by these spirits called jumbies.
She and a sort of friend are trying to figure out how to get rid of the powers and end up uncovering their sinister origins.

She is forced to battle with demons that were not hers to fight’
Jumbies, mischievous and malevolent spirits have been plaguing East Trinidad for months and Twenty-three-year-old Tamika Ramsahai was the one chosen by a mysterious power to unwillingly defend against their attacks.
Not interested in protecting a public that scorns her at every turn, Tamika’s goal is to find a way to get rid of the powers once and for all.
Through battling jumbies that carry cryptic messages and her co-worker who knows a little too much about her situation for her own good, Tamika starts to realise that these powers may have a darker intent behind them.
Diary of an Ex-Witch- Story Idea
I have a new idea for a story.
It's going to be about a young woman who escaped from the lies of the new age and witchcraft. It was one of those random ideas that blossomed into something bigger.
I've decided to write it in a diary format. I'm now working on what exactly she would want to write about.
-How she woke up from the deception
-How she ended up sucked into the new age in the first place
-How these things have affected her relationships
-How has seeking Jesus changed her life
And many more ideas like that.
I'm also going to throw in a cult of delusional young women who think the demon lowercase g they're worshipping is actually doing them any favours. I saw this a lot on tik tok when I was on the app.
This addition is actually inspired by this witch I used to follow when I was in the new age. The demon lowercase g she 'works with' got upset with her because it didn't approve of one of the offerings and decided to drown her in her dream.

You can see the messy base sketch, but I'm too lazy to fix that....No references used, which is why there are anatomy flaws. mneh.
