You know that one scene from ‘the Road to el Dorado?’
martin "I have had to lie about much of my life in order to get by and at some point I just started adding stuff for fun" blackwood and sasha "there's no such thing as a true self, it's masks all the way down" james and jon "well if people get funny when they find out my age then I'll just tell them a fake one from the off" sims sharing a workplace with tim "what the hell is wrong with you people" stoker must have been a treat
i got literal chills when annabelle explained how the web used the tapes and jon's voice to cast a line out into other dimensions. that's a very subtle way to break the 4th wall and one that adds an extra level of fear to the listening experience. the magnus archives is a podcast distributed by rusty quill, but it is also a lure. a line cast into our dimension by the web. a pathway for the fear entities to follow through to this dimension, should jon and the others decide to remove them from theirs. i'm now not only invested in what happens to these characters, i'm also invested in their choices because of the implication that they will affect me, the listener. 10/10 good horror, very creepy. would listen again.
Mike Crew: No more than 5′ tall.
Simon Fairchild: “Tiny, pink skeleton of a man.”
So what I’m saying is all Vast avatars are tiny and are compensating by having their huge endless patron.

I am not here to comment on the extremely cool new statement.
I am not here to tell how much I hate when y'all theorists are right (yes, I'm talking about "A Guest for Mr. Spider)
I am here to EXPRESS MY JOY IN FRONT OF THE NEW "I lost my boyfriend/girlfriend" FRIENDSHIP THAT'S BLOOMING BETWEEN JOHNATHAN AND BASIRA.
I'm at it again
What if, one day, Doflamingo pulls a Crocodile and comes back from Impel Down, but since he has been a prisoner for a long time (it hasn't been a long time now, but it will be by the time he gets out of prison, hopefully), long enough for his hair to grow, and maybe even without his glasses.
And Law sees him. His hear jumping right out of his throat, and his eyes instantly watering at the sight of that familiar head of unkept blonde hair. His mind automatically reminiscing about the man that saved his life and the day he saw him, his black coat a dark contrast against the pure white snow, surrounded by big and small droplets of dark, dark blood. He remembers that day, still hearing the deafening silence coming from him. That same silence told him that the man in the black coat was still alive and helping him one last time to get away from danger, while he could just watch the snow slowly coming down, burying his savior.
Law then blinks, cursing for that little moment of weakness (but not regretting it, because as Sengoku told him at Dressrosa, the best way to honor a loved one is to remember them), to then only to shiver as the man in front of him opens his mouth to regard him with an unfortunate and familiar maniacal laugh, his smile too wide to be genuine, too different from the last smile Cora gave him, a cruel and mocking smile.
Would Doflamingo share something, if anything, with his brother? Or would he look like a wicked and twisted picture of a past lost to hatred?
