How the DSMP became a devastating reality

yo, do you guys ever think about just how reflective that the events of the DreamSMP were of reality?? hear me out here:

• Wilbur sets off something innovative and quite literally revolutionary. In the end, he isn't quite as noble as he seems. the worst parts of him seep through the cracks and his image shatters, cutting himself and everyone around him.

• Tubbo eventually refuses to play the pawn, splitting off to purse the things he is truly passionate about

• Technoblade—always leagues ahead of everyone else, clearly on another level (oh gosh, i'm tearing up here)

• Dream's identity confuses everyone—is he good? is he bad? who is he? Has an alarming obsession with Tommy, and a sever case of main character syndrome

• Tommy—the main character in the end. slowly loosing the flamboyance and fire that once characterized him. always drawing the short straw. always left to pick up the broken pieces.

At the risk of sounding anti-intellectual, I think that college should be free and also not a requirement for employment outside of highly specialized career fields

so here's the thing. abandoning fics is good actually.

if you're a writer and you hate writing a thing? you can just stop. slap THE END? on the last chapter if you want to pretend like it's really finished, but mostly just free yourself from the prison of your own guilt. you're spending your valuable free time and mental space beating yourself up about a thing that was your choice to start writing in the first place. you decided to start making the thing, and you can also decide to give it up.

this also applies if you're a reader! starting a fic doesn't mean that you have to finish it. maybe the tags looked good. maybe the summary was intriguing. maybe you even liked the first couple of chapters. But if the story starts going in a direction that you don't like, if the author writes your favourite character in a way that doesn't vibe with you, if you just get bored with the premise and want something new, you're allowed to stop reading. Just because you sit down at the table with a whole entire cake doesn't mean you have to eat the whole thing. Sometimes you just want a little sliver, and that's just fine.

loving a story for a couple of chapters is still a lovely way to spend your time. get your enjoyment out of however much time you want to spend with it, and when that time stops being enjoyable allow yourself to move on.

falling out of love with something doesn't mean the love was never there. the love was there in the beginning, and it mattered, and it stays a part of you - even when it's not still there anymore.

I randomly remembered that one thing of someone asking Techno why he dressed like he was part of the bourgeoise and hie reason was "because styleee"

so uhh, new au where Techno is an anarchist and routinly goes around murdering tyrannical governments. But he dresses like a noble (because he steals stuff from the tyrants he kills). And because he's generally bad at talking to people he ends up at like noble gatherings a lot because people see how he's dressed and assume he was invited.

Which is great sometimes, maybe there's someone at the party he's been meaning to murder. Or it's shit because there's no one at the party but leaving too early would insult the host or something. He doesn't know, he doesn't care to learn the rules of noble society. So he ends up stuck, trying to make sure people realize his cape was the pride and joy of the Tyrant of the North two months ago and his crown and jewels are all pieces missing after assassinations of various political figures.

Gender Dysphoria 

Its not like you don't like the way you look, it not that you can't change who you are. It's the fact that you hate yourself, it's the fact that every fucking moment you hate the look of your chest, too flat or big

You hate the look of your hair, to feminine, to masculine. You hate the shape of your body, the way your eyes are tired and the way you are perceived, 

You hate the Dysphoria it gives you to be called a boy or a girl. You cringe every fucking time someone calls you she, or he. You hate yourself, so fucking much and it hurts. It hurts so much to sit and cry in my bathroom floor, my parents asking what's wrong, everyone asking what happens to the little girl or boy that I used to know.

 And then you give them the answer, the answer that you dread, the answer that lingers in the back of your mind, the answer that they force you to hear.

And sometimes it feels good to hear the words that you hate, 

But other times it's just as painful then when you say it in your head.

Write it shitty, write it scared, write it without a clue but don't you be so spineless and have an AI write fanfic for you.

i love you fanfic authors that write AUs. i love you fanfic authors that write canon. i love you fanfic authors that write unhinged things specific to their niche interests. i love you fanfic authors that write against the grain of fanon interpretation. i love you fanfic authors that add to fanon interpretation in even more rich ways. i love you fanfic authors with low self confidence, with all the confidence in the world, with 3000 subscribers, with 2 subscribers, who have written a million words and ones that have written 100. i love you fanfic authors who haven't written a word yet but the stories are still knocking around inside your head. i love you fanfic authors!!!!!!!
