Anyone knows the Iceman for the imposing man he is, and the way he commands respect and to be listened to when he walks in any room. A really small number of people have seen him having a different expression from his usual blank one, so the morning there's a kid not older than eight is walking in with him, not a single soul knows what to say or to do.
The whole thing gets even worse when the kid pulls his sleeve to get his attention and says, "dad?" and Kazansky answers."Yes, baby goose?" With the softest expression ever saw on the man's face.
It takes them more ten minutes to say something, and by that time, the Iceman has the kid between his arms, and they are walking towards the mess hall.
Ice is napping on the couch, with Baby Goose asleep on his chest, his little hands wrapped around Ice's shirt, and one of Ice's hands on the kid's back to keep him from falling down.

nothing has been more important to my being queer than when i went to my first pride parade, got seperated from my group, had a panic attack about it and was sitting on the side of the road holding a tiny genderfluid flag and freaking out. then this six foot five drag queen in four inch heels appeared from literally nowhere and sat down next to me. i, this scared-shitless trans bi kid at pride for the first time, very nervously told her she looked pretty and i told her my name and that i got lost and didn't feel like i should be at pride and she held my hand and said "oh, honey, everybody deserves to be here, especially you. pride is for everybody who's ever gotten lost, who's been scared of who they are or where they are. you think we never been scared before? pride's for you, honey, because you're scared. you don't have to be proud right now, but you're gonna be one day, honey, i'm sure of it."
i found my group soon after that and i never saw that queen again but to this day i am convinced i met an angel.

To the idea of Mav telling Bradley that he appreciates how much he values the idea of the perfect marriage Carole and Goose had but, at the same time, how unrealistic is because "kid, they were married four years and they spent together maybe two of them. They didn't had the time to see the other side of everything" in answer to Bradley asking why he continues to stay with Ice if all they do lately is fighting, to which Mav answers "what? I am also very happy that omitb talked about how silly shows can mean a lot to us because they helped us get through some very difficult times, they were there for us when we needed them the most and they will always have a place in our hearts because of that.

Headcanon that Ice grew up rich and because he grew up rich he didn't know SHIT about housekeeping type chores until he made it into the military, and then it was a crash course on how to do laundry, general cleaning, and cooking. Slider fondly remembers the time he had to gently explain that no, Ice, you can't use regular dish soap in a dishwasher. Yes, the bubble river will happen every time you do. No, it won't hurt anything but if I get a goddamned nickname for sliding half down the hallway on your soap spill I'll make sure you get a worse one.
Maverick, on the other hand, grew up bouncing around the foster system. He learned early and learned fast; general chores were spread out amongst the foster kids and you had to do your chore or you would get in trouble. Once he aged out he had all the skills but the years living alone before he met Goose meant he had practically turned them into an art form, something Goose greatly appreciated when they were stateside.
Between the two of them, everyone always assumes that Ice is the homemaker and Mav is a domestic disaster, but its actually the complete opposite. Ice was ready to propose the first time Mav cooked for him, while Mav as officially banned Ice from laundry duty after one too many loads of whites got dyed pink.

The fact that Roy canonically goes to gay bars and hangs out with drag queens is criminally under-utilised in fanon.
Where are my stories about the boys trying to support Colin by going to a gay bar and then being gobsmacked when Roy knows everybody there? Where are the stories where Roy gets caught at G-A-Y by the paparazzi and outed, only for him to insist that he’s straight to the team, who think he’s trying to save face and keep making grandiose gestures to prove their support to an increasingly infuriated Roy. Where are the stories about Roy and Keeley going to a gay bar together (with the yoga milfs) and running into one of Keeley’s ex-girlfriends?
What about Jamie thinking he’s doing super subtle bisexual signalling (cuffed jeans, layers, iced coffee, etc) only for Roy to clock him immediately and start trying to signal his support to Jamie à la Trent’s gay mug, only for it to backfire as Jamie assumes Roy is trying to come out.
Where’s my Roy who’s known he’s queer all his life getting invited to a gay club by his yoga friends for the first time and panicking, (because he’s never acknowledged this part of himself and how can they see it?), only to go to the bar and have it feel like he’s coming home. Where’s my Roy who’s absolutely certain he’s straight (after all, he’s being going to gay bars for years and he would know by now if he wasn’t) having a fucking heart attack as he falls for Jamie and has to reconceptualize his identity at 40. Where are the comedies about Keeley and Roy knowing the same person, but Roy only knows the drag queen and Keeley only knows the man out of drag and so they don’t realise they have the same friend?
What about a post-finale story where Roy, Keeley, and Jamie all show up at the same gay bar without planning it and have a series of bewildering conversations as they try to figure out if they’ve followed each other there (Keeley is like “how many times can I tell these boys I won’t pick between them?”) or if the other person is gay (you obviously can’t just ask).
These are all off the top of my head, so I am sure there are more. But please, please, somebody write this. We can’t let Roy get away with mentioning this once and then never talking about it again.

um. i dont know how to say. please listen to the children in your life. its true sometimes youll know better but, often times they have perspectives we may miss and dismissing them hurts everyone in the end. we have so much we can share and learn together.
i think if we’re going to have conversations about consent we should talk about how consenting to something doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be a good experience, and having a bad experience doesn’t necessarily mean someone violated your consent. this can apply to a lot of situations but the two i’m thinking of right now are sex and transition.
you’re getting it on with someone. you enthusiastically consent to having sex with them. afterward, you feel a little weird about it. maybe even distressed. maybe they did something you didn’t enjoy and in the moment you just didn’t say anything. maybe you just realized after the fact that you were not in a good headspace for sex and now your mental health is declining. that doesn’t inherently mean the person you had sex with violated your consent. sometimes it just means you need to take a break from sex or work on communicating your needs or boundaries better during sex.
and with transition, i feel like this is something that gets consistently overlooked but like. there will never be zero detransitioners. there will always be people who decide that actually transition wasn’t right for them. they could have had the best most thorough doctors in the world who did everything by the book and got full informed consent at every step. and some people are still going to decide they don’t like the changes and wish they hadn’t transitioned. that doesn’t mean that the doctors violated their consent, and that doesn’t mean that transition shouldn’t be available to anyone. it just means that we need to have more resources available for folks who detransition.
regret does not automatically mean someone did something wrong. regret is simply one possible result of having bodily autonomy, and i think we need to get more comfortable with that.
Honestly, Isaac is an EXCEPTIONAL Captain. He’s a FAR better Captain than Roy whose idea of leading was basically just yelling out threats once in awhile when the guys got on his nerves.
Isaac takes the job so seriously. He makes sure the guys behave like a team on and off the pitch (insisting the team spend the evening together in Amsterdam), he demands they respect others (no trainers at a funeral, no keeping nudes in order to protect the people in them from tabloid hacks). He’s just a really good leader and I love him.

It absolutely killed me how blatantly they show how comfortable Miguel O’Hara is with small children. The animators utilized the sheer power of body language to show that he was only irritated by Peter B Parker being annoying/irresponsible but meanwhile Miguel’s hands are perfectly maneuvering, almost on autopilot, to make sure Mayday stayed in a safe comfortable position even when she was being super wriggly and excitable. Showing that scene immediately after showing Miguel looking at pictures of him and his daughter.. i’m so unwell help
