Ok but consider: this could work both ways! Julian recognising Garak's stitching/technique on a recently fixed piece of clothing or fabric. I also don't know when this would take place or why and how Julian would get his hands on something garak patched up or what stitching would be as recognisable as surgery techniques but the idea won't let me go.

I think one of the funniest ways to discover that something has a way bigger fandom than you expected is by looking at two characters and going "huh I bet people ship them" so you open ao3 and look the ship up expecting there to be maybe a handful of fics out there but instead you are greeted with this:

The thought of watching almost all of enterprise, then tos, then tng and only then the enterprise finale is truly cursed.
i think the funniest possible star trek viewing order might be strictly chronological.
you’d have to start with that Voyager episode where they go to before the Big Bang, then work your way through every other time travel episode, the one with the whales, and First Contact before you even get close to anything approaching a normal viewing order.
at some point you’d have to watch “City on The Edge of Forever” followed by “Little Green Men” followed by “Far Beyond the Stars” which is about the most tonal whiplash you could possibly get from three consecutive episodes of star trek. I think I want to try this now.
I'm gonna have to start actually keeping up with current events just so I won't experience the whiplash of finding out about them through destiel memes.
