Some dwobbit prince Frodo lore explainstions
Half stone is his title due to him being half Dwarf. He was given this title when he wish introduced to the kingdom after birth and has always carried it. His is Half stone as much as he his Frodo.
Silentstride is the name gifted to him due to his half hobbit nature making him incredibly silent and assassin like in him combat style, he’s hard to spot being smaller then your average Dwarf and more light of frame and his hobbit-ish feet and penance for going shoeless even in the harsh Erebor winters makes him move in near silence. It’s also why he wears such a heavy fur over his shoulders, it doesn’t make sound when he moves and muffles the rest of him clothing.
(Also Frodo is his papa’s number one sweet boy, he will always carry Bilbos basket for him at the market and bend down for Bilbo to kiss him on the forehead before he leaves to go sparing with his uncles)
If you have any questions, please ask! I’d love to draw some little doodles to explain more if anyone is interested
My wee niece is so cute, she’s only tiny and doesn’t really understand that me and my dad don’t do the same thing (he works with stone I work with metal) I gave her my dragon tail ring to play with and she looked up at me and goes you made this with grandad?” I puffed up a little admittedly when I said “No I made it all by my self” but I showed her my necklace and said “but he made this, it’s got fossils in it see?” And she asked if there was a dragon tooth in it.
(Her favorite thing to talk to me about it dragons now haha)
may i ask how boromir is canonically aroace?
Sure! Within the appendix of the the lord of the rings ‘kings and rulers’ Boromir is described as having no desire or interest to take a partner. Having only love to his family and for his roll
It is most plainly put that he is unlike his brother who seeks love and a spouse where as he has no interest.
I don’t have a physical copy of the book with me currently otherwise I would write the direct quote out for me
Every three weeks, On the dot Nori holds Ori down while Dori cuts his little hair do. That’s why it always looks so rough. Baby boy is THRASHING around trying to escape.
‘A dwarrow dame of Erebor’
She’s so pretty I’m in fits. What’s her name? What’s her job? What’s her story?
Brain storm:
I imagine she is very much in the upper class, if she works then she works a soft craft possibly with textiles. Perhaps she works with a manual loom and between that an an instrument she plays she has very callused finger tips for a lady of the upper class.
I imagine there is very little visual distinction between men and women in all classes but the upper classes are all very prettied up.
She uses gold, oxidization from bronze in powder and fat to make eye shadow too (also lapis is ground to a powder for make up as well but it’s not a color this dame wears often) (Thorin wheres so much eye coal and never washes it off before bed. His pillow looks like it belongs to Bofur)
Her parents are likely merchants who spend a lot of time away from Erebor traveling as far so Gondor and the Blue mountains returning with gifts for her.
She is only young, about 65, old enough to work with her grandmother in textile production but not old enough to travel with her parents on such dangerous roads. Though she is born at the beginning of the age of men there are still orc strong holds and devotees to the fallen enemy that are known to waylay caravans of traders
Thrirli daughter of Flenik the merchant.
Just handed in my first paper for the year. Pretty sure I’ve failed it. Thoughts and prayers 😭

They have a dad. Vili.
They are to my mind:
Princes Fili and kili of the line of Durin. Sons of Dis of the line of Durin. Heir and steward prince of Azsâlul'abad
Normally it would run to most peoples agreement that they would be sons of their father but because of Vilis commoner status (and don’t due to his death) it is seem as acceptable for them to take their mothers name in their titles as she is the member of the line of Durin.
Though I imagine in situations where they don’t want to be known they would be introduced as ‘sons of Vili’
it always catches me off guard when i see people use Durin as a stand-in last name for Fíli and Kíli. it’s not necessarily a pet peeve, but i’m still like ‘hmmm feels wrong’. so now im curious:
Normally it would be very scandalous indeed to touch another dwarrows hair but in the eyes of the party the two brothers were not much more then peddles and so it was actually comforting to see someone taking care of them.
Bilbo say combing through Kilis hair very, very carefully. Sectioning it and starting at the ends because every single tug made the young prince yelp pitifully… Fili had less patience for this game and Thorin had less still so it was understandable to Bilbos mind that the boy was somewhat jumpy about his hair, remembering his own hair being raked through before bed as a fauntling.
Braiding back the princes hair with two plats that met at the back of his head with one leather tie and a bead above it, Bilbo thought he’d done rather a handsome job, Kili sat up and did a spin, showing his brother who nodded approvingly.
Dori sat with Balin across the camp watching with amused smiles.. it made the two brothers seem so young to be cared for in such a way, their smiles turned into muffled laughter as they looked over that their grumpy kings unreadable expressions.
Thorin didn’t know what to think, on the one had he was glad that his nephews were being cared for, on the other he thought bitterly that that was he and Dis’s job and on the other he might have felt slightly jealous but dwarves only have two hands so that last one was the thought he tried to ignore.
Later that evening the camp was still, a few of the party were still half awake having a drink around the fire when Thorin took a deep breath and stood, enough ale in his system to make him slightly braver then he had the right to be. He walked over to Bilbo who was sitting on a log over looking the valley, his pipe in his hand.
Thorin sat beside him, a thick fingered hand resting on the small round shoulder of the hobbit. Thorin was always shocked on the few accessions he had touched the hobbit to feel how small he truely was.
The king cleared his throat.
“Thank you… For looking after them” he nodded to the princes who lay a few meters away, kili laying half on top of his snoring brother like a two man dog pile.
Bilbo looked at the hand on his shoulder then back out at the valley, exhaling a smoke ring “The more time I spend with those two.. the more I realize how young they are… Forgive me for this Thorin but… You shouldn’t have brought them”
Thorin sucked in a breath. His eyes falling to his lap “No… I shouldn’t have…”
Bilbo smiled sadly “come.. You’re worse then Kili, sit down and I’ll brush your hair too”
Thorin thanked Mahal one hundred times that it was dark and his burglar couldn’t see the redness of his cheeks as he sunk down between the Hobbits thighs, staring at a boulder across the valley like it would crack open and reveal a second arkenstone if he glared hard enough… until the Hobbits clever fingers began to unbraid his hair, treating it as gently as he did Kili’s… then all he could do was close his eyes and try to hold in most of the groan of satisfaction that rumbled in his chest.
Let's be honest, Bilbo does too much of what is considered vulgar or flirting in Thorin's culture. And he's going to die of embarrassment soon.
I heard the forest isn’t the only place you see roots. Bleach imports must be slow.
