Shouta couldn’t help himself, he blinked. And in that one, crucial moment, a demon tore its way into the world.

The being appeared from a tornado of brilliant blue fire, so bright it hurt Shouta’s eyes, roaring a deep, inhuman roar. Claws ripped through the flames, glinting in the firelight as bladed heels dug into the concrete. It had no face, just a mass of fire in the vague shape of eyes and a mouth on a smooth mask under a top hat. Inky black wings flared out from behind the creature, covering the moon and stars in complete darkness.

“YOU DARE HARM MY TRICKSTER?” The entity roared, towering over Shouta like a predator would its prey. Pure dark energy flowed from the thing’s claws, sucking the warmth from the air in an instant. Shouta felt an unnatural fear pierce his being, the kind that made him want to cower and hide and never come out. “BEGONE WITH YOU!”

I didn't originally want to share stuff from this fic here on Tumblr, after all, this was more a Legend of Zelda/LU account. Ehhhhh neither? Dark is one of those characters that I think will remain an antagonist, in the sense of making the MC's life harder and presenting obstacles, but sorta be absorbed into the team by the fact that he's not malicious, kinda has to do his job, and is clearly conscious. Plus definitely never leaving Vaati's side and Vaati is almost definitely never joining the heroes. Maybe leaving them alone, as a sorta truce, but not gonna be a do-gooder hero. Dark is right there with em, at best leaving them alone/somehow accidentally becoming the therapist but like a really shitty one? I dunno though it's not my story

Back with the FS polls Oh boy.

It dawns on me I've never fully asked this question and I'm so damn curious what the general consensus is for where Dark's character is going.

I've for sure said things to mess this up being completely blind but oh well.

Shadow has so much going for him here, there's no way he's NOT gonna be my favorite. He was my favorite manga character, now he's got the triforce of power, and years of ruminating on unresolved angst. Plus, while I don't know if there's an actual main character, so far Shadow's our main character. He's the one with the most potential to go one way or the other, and have his decisions seriously affect how the story goes. Vaati will likely remain a villain till the end, where he'll either be defeated or redeemed. Link (and by extension Green, Red, Blue, & Vio) will remain a hero. Shadow could go either way, and it's super fun!!

Dark is next on my favorites, he's new, and he's a weirdo. I love that. 20/10. Plus extra chest eye points. Vaati is also up there, he has angst, and, say it with me now,

Green, Vio, and OG Link are characters I like, but they're not quite up to favorites. This is mostly due to a lack of knowledge, though Vio is edging up to favorite.

Zelda, Red, and Blue? I have too little to go off right now. I like the ideas behind em, but those ideas haven't quite been given enough time for me to fully understand yet.

Favorite FSR character?

I'm not including Captain dad, Ganon, or Perry because they didn't have much screen time.

I'd love to hear "why" they're your favorite too but that's not mandatory.

Sometimes I think my therapist was very wrong and I do, in fact, have ADHD and maybe knowing that fact for certain and getting access to ways to manage it would help a lot actually.

"Oh *****'s such a gifted child, she's very smart and answers all the teacher's questions. There's no way something could possibly be different about her!"

Then the years go by and I get worse and worse in class as teachers start assigning homework and projects but it can't be any sort of neurodivergence because '***** was always such a smart child, she's clearly just not putting in the effort anymore.'

I barely take care of myself because doing things like brushing my teeth or taking a shower or cleaning my room don't... Make me feel accomplished in any way, they just make me feel like I wasted my time and now my mouth tastes like mint and I can't eat or I'm all cold and wet or my stuff is just going to get taken back out anyway. It's probably depression or an anxiety disorder, let's give her some medicine for that.

The medicine helps me with some mild mood swings, but those become a non-issue when I'm out of school and the effort put in driving to the pharmacy and refilling my prescription just isn't worth it anymore.

I should probably go to the doctor, the dentist, the optometrist, but I really don't feel like scheduling an appointment right now, it can wait until my schedule's more free. Then my schedule gets more free and I forget because I always do unless the problem is right in front of me. There's a crack in the ceiling of my room that I should probably tell my parents about but I kept forgetting until my dad walked into my room and saw the crack himself.

Is something wrong with me? Or am I just lazy?

My therapist was probably right. I don't have ADHD, I'm just not putting in the effort.

You know that one project that you want to constantly update everyone on because you're so proud of it and you think it's so cool, but you don't want to spam everyone because that'd be annoying?

So here's an animation for my Animation 2 class, working on making the character with rough blocks and spheres for easy rotation & placement & size consistency, crap like that. We're basically doing a MAP for our project, it's really fun.

I think all the modern persona protagonists deserve to be a little bit of a God, as a treat. We already have Makoto being a door, maybe Yu could be a wall, and Ren is a carpet. But like, a really special wall and carpet, you know? Ones that could kill God.
