I can totally see Shang Tsung (the MK1 one, not Evil!Titan Tsung) doing this to Liu Kang the moment he finds out about him and Titan Kitana. Not because he’s gay, not because he definitely did not want to kiss the God of Fire, but simply to annoy him.
To leave him questioning every single time that he’s with Titan Kitana if she’s just Shang Tsung in disguise. And slowly seeing Liu Kang loose his mind whenever he starts overthinking every single of Kitana’s actions.
I really like this one actually
Wait, then what does it mean to “rotate” them? I mean, I know what rotate means, but how do you rotate a character? What even is rotating a character?!
I firmly believe that, originally, Liu Kang had expected that the champion would be Kenshi. Now, don’t get him wrong. Any champion would be fine by him, he trusts them all and loves them all. And it would’ve made sense that Kenshi would be the one to win, as he was the one with the most experience out of the four champions.
But when Kenshi was defeated, it took him by surprise that this man, Kenshi, who escaped the yakuza. Who was more skilled in fighting terms, that had more experience, had lost.
That put Liu Kang slightly on edge. Because it meant that his champion would be either Johnny, Raiden or Kung Lao. When Johnny lost, his nerves weren’t appealed. But when Kung Lao lost, it felt like he could breath again.
His brain making him remember when his friend had died on his timeline. He trusts Kung Lao, he trusts him as a person and he trusts his strength. But he’s still grateful that it wouldn’t be Kung Lao the one to face Shao Ka—General Shao.
Even if this new tournament, that he himself organized, didn’t required for anyone to die, like in his timeline, Liu Kang—despite all the eons that had passed— still had it fresh in his skull when his friend died. The celebrations that the public had made when Kung Lao’s inert, cold, dead body hit the arena. The way his eyes were wide open, staring at nothing, and how the bone of the neck was slightly peeking out through the skin.
Liu Kang doesn’t think he will ever forget any of it.
I’ve been thinking about that one “The last Unicorn” audio, the one that says “You hear me? You lost her! You trapped her in a human body, she’ll go mad!” “What have you done to me? I’m a unicorn. I’m a unicorn! I wish you had let the Red Vault take me. I wish you had left me to the harpies! I can feel this body dying all around me!”
Now imagine that but with Liu Kang. We know from his ending that [SPOILERS] taking back his power and title of Keeper of Time took a toll on his body. Nearly killing him and taking his immortality. And we know that Liu Kang had been a god for a good billions of centuries now. Even if was once a human, it’s not weird to think that after so long of being a Titan, he would’ve forgotten how aging felt. What it felt like to being able to die. Do you guys think he experienced something similar to body dysmorphia when he became mortal again? And that the same happened when he became a god the first time?
(Not)Friendly reminder that [SPOILERS FOR MK11] Takeda never knew that Hanzo, his adoptive father figure died. Before the reset, he might had been wondering what was happening. Where was his mentor?
Did Takeda and Kung Jin even knew about the whole Kronika thing? I don’t think so.

My EPIC hyper fixation is getting mixed with my Arcane hyper fixation.

Same happened to me, and I kid you not, I was genuinely talking. Specially during our final battles on the indigo disk. I think something about how he went from this cute, shy kid who genuinely enjoyed the battles even when he lost, to this teen with dull, dead eyes that only cares about winning against us might have something to do with it.
Maybe this is a little silly, and maybe I’m being too meta about it, but while I was playing through the DLC I kept getting this urge to talk to Kieran through the screen like “no, no matter how hard you try, you’ll never be able to win against me, but it’s not because there’s anything wrong with you — it’s only because I’m the protagonist, and if I don’t win, the story can’t move forward.”
I don’t know what it is about this guy that makes me wanna break through the fourth wall and explain to him his narrative purpose, but his arc really compels me — maybe it’s the way his obsession completely, dramatically overtakes him
Whats a “blorbo”? Asking as a non-English speaker user.
I love this fanfic so much that I made some drawings about my favorite scene from the first chapter, interpreting the scene my way
I recommend it!
The name of the fanfic is:
the heroine is annoying, but she dies spectacularly at the end

Enserio amé este fanfic, esta en inglés pero su trama es muy interesante, hice unos dibujos de la escena que más me emociono del primer capítulo. Lo recomiendo totalmente! No está completo pero vale la pena esperar cada capítulo ^•^
