It is my headcanon that there is a gun on the table in this scene because The Winter Soldier has been trained to arm any of his handlers who are not already armed while in his presence so that, if they so choose, they can put him down at any time.
Later, it takes Steve months to figure out why Bucky gives him a knife every time they’re in the same room.
The US government is CONVINCED Bucky's still brainwashed because he keeps saying Minimum wage should be raised
Bucky, who spent most of life helping Steve get by with his 900 disabilities and illnesses: we don’t have universal healthcare by now?
Bucky’s therapist making a note that he’s still a Russian communist:
My question is: what is Steve Rogers’s body count? … We don’t talk about that a lot because he’s an American Hero ™ and American Heroes don’t ever actually kill people even when they’re, you know, soldiers in the actual fucking Army. The American Hero has to show mercy and give everybody a second chance and any time the Bad Guy dies, it has to be because he made a mistake that lead to his own death. The hero can never actually just fucking murder him in our stories because that would be wrong and a true American would never do something like that.
So, like, has Steve Rogers ever shot a dude in the face? Has he ever snapped anybody’s neck? Has he ever been struggling for his own life and used his shield to take a life?
If you have either canon comics knowledge or just Opinions and Feelings, please feel free to share. Because, like, dude was a soldier in WWII on the European Front fighting Nazis, kicking open doors with gun literally blazing, so he’s obviously killed people, but we never discuss this. How does Steve reconcile killing? Does he feel guilt? Is he comfortable with his actions? Has he killed people since he got pulled out of the ice? How does he feel about taking human lives? Does he talk to anybody about it? Does he just internalize it and let it eat him up inside?
even just in the platonic sense the steve bucky dynamic has so untapped potential that marvel continuously lets go to waste by letting them say one line to each other per movie. srsly tho!!!! these bitches are early childhood friends. they legitimately know everything about each other. they’ve seen each other at high points low points what the fuck pal??? points, they know every embarrassing story by heart, they must have so many inside jokes, nothing is weird for them. they can be brutally horribly rudely honest with one another & get away with it. They fight , physically and verbally, and will knock sense into each other. or!! on the flip side they come up with the stupidest shit and get each other in trouble on purpose. the interactions are endless and unique and marvel is ridiculous to not make use of this. their default emotion/friendship setting is not pain!!!!

I love that "avengers level threats" are peters side quests. hes like yeah yeah thanos chitauri whatever. have you seen the 6 cackling freaks that have literally unionized against me as an individual
Anyways, according to Agents of Shield, Steve spent a few weeks after defrosting in "one of Fury's old retreats," "a safehouse for people with powers" AKA a cabin by a lake in the middle of nowhere.
A metal part of the wall looks like someone punched it.
I'm sure Steve had an amazing time.
I understand the appeal of wanting every adult hero to instinctively adopt teenage Peter Parker, but can it really beat the hilarity of acknowledging that at 15 Peter was 5'10", unusually buff, went by a moniker with Man in it, wore a creepy full face mask, and had a tightly guarded secret identity and probably a Queens accent thick enough to have come out of a jello mold, and adult heroes reasonably responded to him by going, “Wow, this grown man is an immature asshole for no reason.”
i love mj and peter with my whole heart! this piece was a sketch in my drafts around when homecoming came out, so i finished and revamped it a bit!

Starfalls. Again-
This time the endgame version, which I was inspired by while reading the fanfic. I just started thinking about what Steve ended up going through during Infinity War. Lost Bucky again, unable to save him. Lost new friends. For five years. According to Steve's inner clock, he only loses Bucky for two years the first time. And here...five years? Oh-
Then he loses Natasha, his last close friend. Yes, after that everyone who was turned to dust returned, but in the end Tony died. Therefore, a picture where Steve can finally allow himself to collapse. Release the burden of emotions. Mourning and at the same time relief that his Bucky is alive.
There..there are a lot of emotions there, really...
Oh and I enjoyed drawing this-- although I've gotten really into rendering again, I...yeah, I'm starting to feel more confident in drawing people. :']
Bucky, speaking into his arm that is recording: Day 14 in the Soul Stone, so far no notable incidents, people are finding various ways to amuse themselves. Right now the tree creature is singing “I am groot” to the tune of “Despacito”, the greatest song of all time according to Spider-Boy. I can not detect any animosity between peopl-
Peter, following Sam: But why a falcon…why not… let’s say… an ostrich?
Bucky: Correction, Sam Wilson is about to murder a minor. I have to go.
~ ‘Soldier, Weapon, Stranger, Monster’ ~
I wanted to work on emotions, so i drew anger. Here’s a Wanda locked up in a cell at the Raft at the end of Civil War.

Vision: Mr. Stark always accuses me of having a favorite human.
Vision: That’s not true. I love Wanda and Not-Wandas equally.
Who the hell is Bucky?
Fixed the slight foreshortening error from before and… yeah.
JUST NOTICED LAST NIGHT THAT BUCKY WAS ALSO ON A DRIP IN THE ENTIRE CHAIR SCENE
I know it’s a fucked up scene, I do, but that to me just is nOPE. What the fuck are they putting into his system on top of the mind wiping and the physical abuse and the conditioning.
