Gotham Gargoyles named by Robin

This is an older idea of mine that I have shared with others before, But what if the Gargoyles were all named by the Robins and it became a sort of secret code known only to them? Only those that have been Robins (or Robin adjacent to include the Batgirls). Each gargoyle at a given location is known by a name to them. So if one says "Meet me at Bartholomew." they know to go to the gargoyles at 7th and Bleaker, 8 stories up.

Bruce saves people because a long time ago on the worst night of his life, no one was there to save him. Cassandra stops killers because a long time ago on the worst night of her life, no one was there to stop her.

Silhouettes for that Nightwing WIP works fairly universally as references. I’m hoping you can see the movement from one panel to the next clearly. Please give me feedback on that and how I can make it better.

A Captain’s Love

A fully colored digital comic of the Strawhats from One Piece.

The first page only contains a panel with the words "A Captain's Love.“

The second page shows Luffy and Nami holding hands and smiling at each other. Pictured underneath is a close-up of their interlinked hands and the gray silhouette of a person asking "So, are you guys dating?" Another panel shows Nami's reaction: an appalled expression on her face and "huh?" written in bold red letters.

The second page depicts Luffy sitting on Zoro's lap, happily eating meat while Zoro is drinking. Next to them is a gray silhouette again, asking: "isn't that weird?" At the bottom of the page is Zoro's reaction: an intimidating glare with "WHAT" spelled out in big red capital letters behind him.

The third page contains a drawing of Luffy and Usopp, sleeping on spread out blankets and pillows on the floor while cuddling. Again, the silhouette of a person is in the corner, remarking: "you know what people might think." Usopp's reaction in an extra panel is giving the person a deeply disapproving side-eye, asking "oh yeah...?"

The fourth page depicts Luffy tighly hugging Robin while lifting her in the air as both of them are grinning. The gray silhouette of a person is asking: "Are you really gonna let him act like that with your girlfriend?" Pictured underneath is Franky, deeply confused expression on his face, only responding with a bewildered "uhh...."

The last panel shows Luffy, grinning and holding his hat. The asexual and the aromantic flag are pictured behind him.

Lois: Listen Clark, I know for a fact some of the things you own can't come from a reporter's salary

Clark (didn't know how expensive some of the gifts he received were) : Well-

Lois: And I've noticed you get requested for Wayne interviews more often than you should and always right as Mr. Wayne goes on vacation

Clark (thought their excuse of "interviewing Bruce" when they had an off-world mission was genius) : Um-

Lois: Look I don't mind if you're his sugar baby or whatever. You do what you gotta do and if our home appliances conveniently get replaced right as they start showing wear and tear that'll be that

Clark (has regularly broken those appliances by mistake using his powers and replaced them with his JL collateral property damage allowance) : I'm not-

Lois: You're not disappearing to go spend time with Mr. Wayne? Or the money and gifts don't come from him?

Clark (remembering what will happen if he lets Batman's identity slip) : No, I am... And they do... You're right...

Absolutely. In S1 when Zatara puts on the Dr.Fate helmet and Zatanna effectively loses her dad, Dick/Robin is hovering around her looking like he wants to comfort her. He knew better than anyone there the pain of losing a parent. But no one around him knew that part of his life.

Later on in the Haly's Circus episode, we see that Wally knows about his past but precisely because of that he doesn't bring him on the mission. It's a liability. But that makes him so very lonely and isolated going through that journey alone despite having a team around him.

I was rewatching Young Justice and the fact that all versions of Robin are the only one forced to keep their secret identity even with their teammates and friends is usually written off as Batman being paranoid. I think it's more than that, that it's his way of giving the kids an 'out'. If they ever decide they don't want to fight crime anyone they have a safe identity to return to, no obligations.

They are children first, soldiers second. Bruce knows better than anyone the loneliness his job brings and of course he would want better for anyone, especially his kids.
