What I felt while reading this manga (my notes from 06.05.2022):

Nishi-kun is so cuute and childish. He is my spirit animal. Very relatable character with how he wears his heart in his sleeve.. Eventhough it means he is more likely to get hurt, he accepts himself as a whole and lives his life openly loving Itou-kun with all his might. Whenever Nishi cried, let's just say he was not the only one crying (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠)

Itou-kun with his serious demeanor, would look like a regular guy. But I liked how well he paired with Nishi. He was way too stiff and rigid and the poor guy was so confused because of societal norms. But I am happy that he understood what matters at the end.

Such a wholesome read and one of those mangas where the characters grow old together. It gives me hope yk (⁠ ⁠ꈍ⁠ᴗ⁠ꈍ⁠).. Everybody in the comments section warned me to have tissues in hand. I ignored of course. Look at me being a crying mess with just 6 chapters. Worth every drop of my tears (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)⁠♡

10/10 recommended, especially if you are going through midlife crisis and questioning whether true love exists on top of everything (-.-//)

I think about it often. He really had nothing to hold on to other than his God. And he never thought of himself as anything other than a devoted believer of his God. Whatever he did, he didn't, he achieved, he lost, everything was for his God. Hua Cheng was faithful beyond limits.✨❤️

Obsessed with Xie Lan as a character. Like I know everyone reads these books for the romance but the individual character concepts are hilarious.

Xie Lan is a prince. He eats poison on the reg. He’s forever stuck looking like he’s nineteen. He’s the oldest guy in the communication array. He knows kung fu. He dressed in drag to catch a ghost on two separate unrelated occasions. He’s the world greatest detective. He’s kind. He was forced into a trolley problem and chose to pull the lever. His cooking is awful to the point it could kill a god. He’s kind. He tried to give CPR to a ghost. He’s the unluckiest man alive. He’s been kicked out of heaven multiple times. He’s kind. He caught a kid from certain death and everyone was pissed at him forever about it. He regrets nothing but coming back to heaven.

Faith is like a flame. Sometimes it burns brightly, sometimes it's just a flicker. But, it's still there, always there, waiting to grow strong again....!✨

Habits of people living in blue zones:

Also the mental image I always have in my head of Hua Cheng nodding to himself with a satisfied smirk, so damn pleased, as he's set everything up perfectly to give Xie Lian everything he needs to get to the dungeons and rescue Ming Yi and escape back to Heaven. Hua Cheng made Yin Yu reveal the shackle so it would be suspicious enough for Xie Lian to follow after him to see where he needs to go and exactly, step by step, what he needs to do to get inside. Hua Cheng gave him all the luck he needs to roll the dice on the exact number to open the room and then the dungeon, and then get back out and into Paradise Manor all on the first try without so much as a scratch on his lovely little head. It was such a flawless plan! Gave Xie Lian all of the pieces he needs to put the puzzle together, and Hua Cheng knows he will. He's finally fulfilling his purpose of allowing his beloved to get through life with ease, yet still being able to do it all on his own. His wonderful, strong, intelligent beloved...

And it just cuts to Xie Lian thinking he won't roll the right number even with the borrowed luck and making Wind Master do it TWICE and them having to run from everything trying to kill them, probably with Yakety Sax playing over the montage.

...You tried. You tried so hard. Unfortunately Xie Lian has some issues he needs to work through, but man you really gave it your all. You did so good. You did it, buddy. Good job. 👍

What the prologue said:

What actually happened:

Bravely Xie Lian overcame his inner hatred towards people of Yongan. He wanted to take back the human disease curse on himself. But Wuming got it himself and dissipated because of the curse on behalf of His Highness. Xie Lian ascended. But he asked and earnestly requested for banishment. And thus, he got banished.

He deeply regretted. And wanted a reminder to live with the guilt of killing his ghost general and almost ruining lives of people, that he got not one but two cursed shackles and sealed his spiritual power.

History was twisted beyond belief and poor Xie Lian was mocked as laughingstock of 3 realms. Nobody knew the truth but everybody gossiped. My poor baby LianLian..

Xie lian: “There is nothing wrong with saving people. Why would the heavens condemn me for doing the right thing?”

State Preceptors: Uh…but what if the heavens do condemn you?

Xie lian: “Then it is the heavens who are wrong. Why would I apologize to those who are wrong?”

Hmm.. I'm new to tumblr and this is my proper first post.

I read Heaven official's blessing and I had so much to talk about, gush about. I read the whole thing in 1 week. So daily 1 or 2 books😅 Honestly I inhaled it like it was oxygen and now that I finished it, I don't know what to do.

Well..anyways, the opinions I had during chapter 1 and the opinions I hold now are grossly different!!!! Hence..here I am..Willing to reread the whole book again😅

To keep myself from getting bored (HIGHLY UNLIKELY!), I'm going to read another book on the side and talk about that too.

It's more to dump whatever's going inside my head and to collect my thoughts. Feel free to ignore.✌🏻

Oof 💯 truth right there..Initially it was hard to understand him being overprotective and over cautious over a very powerful martial God who is immune to many things. But then book 6 arc 4 happened. Hua Cheng is the normal one in this relationship!

At first, Hua Cheng mostly gives off the impression of a normal over-protective broody love interest in a romance novel, overly paranoid over anything that might potentially hurt Xie Lian, but then you get to the White Clothed Calamity arc and realize, oh god, oh fuck, that’s actually a completely reasonable response to having to watch someone go through that, he’s actually showing remarkable restraint by allowing Xie Lian to go off and do his own thing as much as he does
